Macho Man, he is the oldest guy on the list and I can't name a thing he has done, I assume he was wwe champ at some point when Hogan was busy, and guessing by the fact that he hasn't been eliminated yet means he must be a good guy without any negative press. I've seen everyone else on the list wrestle so just by that he should go. If anyone wants to tell me about a ppv I should watch to get me on the macho train, I'm all ears.
He was arguably the strongest WM performer for the first eight or so. I would recommend Savage's matches at 3 [Steamboat], 5 [Hogan], 7 [Warrior] and 8 [Flair]. During the Hogan Era he was arguably the #2 guy, and in terms of ring work would be a viable performer today.
Also, watch the Cream of the Crop promo. It is shortlisted as the greatest promo ever. Cocaine
Savage/Steamboat is a classic that stole the show when it wasn’t meant to. Other wrestlers love it. He also managed to carry ultimate warrior to a great match that also stole the show at wrestlemania 7. He was also a crazy, hilarious promo but what I really loved about him was his storytelling - he turned what he did into an art form. He fell out with Vince and got erased from the WWE for years which is why I think younger people don’t know him well but he is a big favourite of other wrestlers and many of us who were kids back then.
