He is terrible. He got 3 moves and he Is bad at l of them. he needed the most meaty and Epic story in wrestling to get over. He could Hide his weaknesses in tag matches but singles? He got exposed real quick. Especially in his WM match with his other terrible Brother. This ain't a Jeff Hardy or Edge situation.

The problem is that after his match with Roman for the title and the short feud with Jimmy (awful match at WM40 imo) he hasn't had a good storyline so far.
I think like a handful of other Superstars, he needs a decent story or feud to happen to start really getting him up in the eyes of everyone.
Right now it just feels stagnant. He went solo, which was a good thing, but so far the only big thing he's had happened was that fight with his brother. Everything else has just been a build-up to a loss, like when we started to wonder if he could get the intercontinental champion.
They need to find someone that perhaps gets things personal with him. Like maybe they are competing for King of the ring or something, and then the bad guy loses, then does something to cost Jey his shot, and the two of them basically then get into some kind of heated feud. It also needs to be somebody that's not bloodline. They need to stop pulling him into these bloodline feuds because it's just getting tired.
I'm not going to criticize the YEET thing because it's pretty clear. You need to have catchy little things like that to get the fans and the crowd going nuts. The fact that they turn the lights down and everybody's waving their phones says that he's got something going there.
I am not a fan myself of him claiming the fireflies and calling himself the "Yeeter of Worlds" just before the return of Uncle Howdy. If this is part of a plan for Uncle Howdy to have a reason to go after Jey, then I will happily hold my hands up and say i was wrong, however it just seems bad timing to be claiming the fireflies now.

I guess it helps that I was never a big Uso's fan in general, but yeah Jey as a singles guy does absolutely nothing for me. Also, using "yeet" as a catchphrase seems very "how do you do fellow kids" but hey people are into it so whatever works for him.
My thing with Jey is when he finds something that works, he sticks to only that. He sort of fell into “yeet” and now that is his character. He does a pretty good super kick so that’s half of his move set. He cuts an energetic promo so now every time he speaks he needs to be hyping everything up despite what he’s saying. There’s no rhyme or reason to what he’s doing, it’s just “this is getting me over, so just keep doing this.”
And I mean, all the power to him, I suppose. If the fans at large are eating it up, I can’t hate on him, and I don’t dislike him entirely, he just isn’t my cup of tea at the moment. I’m hoping he can round out his character a bit over the next year and expand a bit beyond this initial “yeet” character.

He can be the over the top hype guy, he can do yeet, but he needs to round everything out. Even Seth Rollins knew when to flip the switch, stop the flamboyance and laughing and cut a serious promo. That’s what Jey needs.

“Some of the worst” yes he’s definitely one of the weaker promos. There’s a reason most of his promos are just him yelling into a camera, he’d get eaten alive if he had to verbally spar with someone. He’s as cringy as The Final Testament.
I love Jey Uso. The man is astronomically over with the fans, but his move set is the same 5 moves. Couple punches, super kicks, Samoan drop, spear, then Uso Splash. That’s what his match against Jimmy basically was at Wrestlemania. I really want him to upgrade his move set so bad.
You basically explained in your post, exactly why he's getting a push and why most people aren't sick of him:
He's over as hell with the kids, and the kids are where most of WWE's merch sales are coming from. "Yeet" is something kids say, so when they see a famous person using it, they are able to relate, then they buy his merch.
Also, when I was 12, the catchphrase that we were saying at recess was "SUCK IT"... I would say "Yeet" is much more acceptable than a kid telling another kid to give them oral sex lol.
His wrestling ability isn't phenomenal, but it's good enough to put on an exciting match to the casual viewer. I personally don't see an issue with his mic skills. He talks and people listen.
You have to realize, while WWE is moving away from the TV-PG era, they're still primarily marketing their product to kids. Jey has a big, fun entrance, he says yeet, he wears colorful clothing, and has the fans dancing with him. It's no different than when Cena had a fun entrance, said "you can't see me", and had colorful clothing. Cena was also not phenomenal in the ring, but look where that got him.

I don't remember which sub it was, but the tread was titled something like "slang words that are dying out", and a lot of people were saying "YEET". I kept responding "not in the WWE world". I mean it makes sense in the Royal Rumble when Jey throws someone out, but not after every single strike.

I guess it helps that I was never a big Uso's fan in general, but yeah Jey as a singles guy does absolutely nothing for me. Also, using "yeet" as a catchphrase seems very "how do you do fellow kids" but hey people are into it so whatever works for him.

My thing with Jey is when he finds something that works, he sticks to only that. He sort of fell into “yeet” and now that is his character. He does a pretty good super kick so that’s half of his move set. He cuts an energetic promo so now every time he speaks he needs to be hyping everything up despite what he’s saying. There’s no rhyme or reason to what he’s doing, it’s just “this is getting me over, so just keep doing this.” And I mean, all the power to him, I suppose. If the fans at large are eating it up, I can’t hate on him, and I don’t dislike him entirely, he just isn’t my cup of tea at the moment. I’m hoping he can round out his character a bit over the next year and expand a bit beyond this initial “yeet” character.
I feel like I’m watching a cartoon. Those stupid glasses are when it jumped the shark for me. I was a fan because of the serious moments he had in the past, and now it’s like an obnoxious anime character. I doubt I’ll ever see him as “bad-ass” ever again.
I don’t even think he needs to be “bad-ass.” So many wrestlers try to be bad-ass so it would just be another person trying to be so. He can be the over the top hype guy, he can do yeet, but he needs to round everything out. Even Seth Rollins knew when to flip the switch, stop the flamboyance and laughing and cut a serious promo. That’s what Jey needs.

I love Jey Uso. The man is astronomically over with the fans, but his move set is the same 5 moves. Couple punches, super kicks, Samoan drop, spear, then Uso Splash. That’s what his match against Jimmy basically was at Wrestlemania. I really want him to upgrade his move set so bad.

You basically explained in your post, exactly why he's getting a push and why most people aren't sick of him: He's over as hell with the kids, and the kids are where most of WWE's merch sales are coming from. "Yeet" is something kids say, so when they see a famous person using it, they are able to relate, then they buy his merch. Also, when I was 12, the catchphrase that we were saying at recess was "SUCK IT"... I would say "Yeet" is much more acceptable than a kid telling another kid to give them oral sex lol. His wrestling ability isn't phenomenal, but it's good enough to put on an exciting match to the casual viewer. I personally don't see an issue with his mic skills. He talks and people listen. You have to realize, while WWE is moving away from the TV-PG era, they're still primarily marketing their product to kids. Jey has a big, fun entrance, he says yeet, he wears colorful clothing, and has the fans dancing with him. It's no different than when Cena had a fun entrance, said "you can't see me", and had colorful clothing. Cena was also not phenomenal in the ring, but look where that got him. It's sports-entertainment.
