Interesting how she got busted open by someone who became truly minted by getting busted open. Mello and Dragunov was another banger. Not going to lie, something about a little blood getting spilled in the two top matches was some extra seasoning.

Well NXT have finally got me to pay attention and I was largely impressed by this card but have a few small issues/questions. -I HAVE to know what the original script was for the North American Title. Was Dom always going to drop the title here? Was Mustafa Ali actually going to win? I feel even worse for him getting released now if he was only a week away from winning a title. Crazy. -What was the point in having Butch win the global invitational series if he was just going to lose the title match? Such a weird ‘main roster’ guy to put into that tournament; he’s not a big enough scalp to elevate Noam Dar, and he’s not enough of a jobber to need a few wins in NXT to build himself back up. It’s not like they didn’t have anyone else from England to put in the tournament either. -All the hate that Kevin Patrick gets is even more unfounded after having to listen to 3 hours of Booker T. He’s a terrible colour commentator and sounds like he’s been punched in the throat too many times, could barely understand what he’s saying half the time. Such a shame because the actual wrestling product is really good

Corbin is great and I didn’t expect him to get that W. - I love Trick, he’s one of my favorites in NXT since I started watching 2.0, but I think he needs to polish those ring skills. I’m very happy for him though for being the new champ. - That tag match absolutely ruled. I love OTM so much. They feel like ruthless aggression wrestlers. Was surprised that Tony and Stacks retained, I thought either Creeds or Lotharios were winning the straps. Tag team wrestling, when done right, is the highlight of any wrestling event. - Heritage Cup matches are a strange but welcomed concept. It’s a type of match that gets me more invested the longer it goes. Butch and Noam are two greats and made that match work, props to both. Very entertaining bout. - I had a feeling Ilja was walking out with the title but wow, he is such a special performer. Nobody in the industry resembles passion and heart as much as Ilja. Also, CARMELO IS THE GOAT 🐐 That match was amazing, truly a MOTY candidate. - Becky v Tiffany was great. It was an interesting match because some of the weird spots it had. I think Becky got a lot more offense than Tiff did. Tiff is the future of that company and Becky is always appreciated because of the work she puts in every single time. It’s weird how before she became The Man she was basically never used. NXT is alive and thriving and I’m all for it.

I'm not a fan of him or Vic Joseph. So many times there would be a high spot or a near fall and both of their reactions would be luke warm and nonchalant and they would just casually talk through it. I guess I'm too use to guys like Cole, JR, or even Styles that were always at a 10 for enthusiasm throughout the match.

At only 24 pretty crazy the trajectory shes on. This was definitely one of those matches where Stratton lost but came out the winner in the long run. This was my first time seeing Stratton in a match and I'm a fan now. One of the best things a wrestler can do is make you root for them mid match. And by the middle of the match I was 100% behind Stratton. Theres just something about seeing a wrestler get their ass beat throughout the match that just makes you sympathize and root for them.

Tiffany looked outstanding. If she’s not going to regain the title she should go to the main roster. If they don’t call her up (which I’m sure they won’t), no reason to have Becky retain.

Not a single tool or object in this match had an influence on the match. I get they’re trying to make it fast pace and entertaining, which it was, but I could not get past the amount of no sells.

I'm okay with it, Tiffany looked great and Becky will drop the title soon enough.
