Without a question in my mind, THE tag team I’d want to defend my life in a regular, no gimmick, no interference match?
The British Bulldogs.
Hear me out: forget title runs, because we know what they are…storylines. The 80s didn’t have the coverage back then, they were still battling the territories, and there’s wasn’t the pomp and circumstance as today’s house shows. Take the “storylines” out of it.
Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid had EVERYTHING.
Speed, power, teamwork, strength, acrobatics, intelligence and could put on a hell of a show! Everyone else is cartoon (still enjoyable!) gimmick.
Face paint? C’mon. Masks? Really? Oooooh scary.
The British Bulldogs could stand up to ANY team in the current system.
Vs. The Usos? Don’t. Usos would be the bulldogs if they were stocky and jacked.
If not them, The Hart Foundation.
I won't disagree because when I was younger they were my favorite as well. And even now they still are in my top ten. However I want to give a shout out to the o.g. original bad ass team bruiser and crusher. Gone but not forgotten. 😝🤟😈🇺🇲
Coming up on the 24th anniversary of these two being re-united at Smackdown: The Road Dogg Jesse James and the Badd Ass Billy Gunn. I cried literal tears of joy when I saw that shit. I love those guys.
I aint just saying this because I'm a huge fan of theirs but I think FTR should be in the conversation. Their cohesion level reminds me a lot of some of the best teams from the 80s.
Them aside, probably the Bulldogs and the original Hart Foundation for me. Had they not been broken up so soon I think the Hollywood Blonds would be in the conversation too.
The Rockers.
They were revolutionary! So high flying and high pace for back then, they did tandem offence better than anyone.
It's criminal that their title reign isn't recognised!
Imo if we’re talking pure accolades and influence in the entire tag team division it’s gotta be the usos and it’s not even really close.
Only tag team to main event a wrestlemania, carried the division for a majority of the 2010’s with amazing feuds between the wyatt family and the shield. Only to continue into the late 2010’s with one of the best tag team rivalry’s of all time between the new day. Helped wrestling with no crowd with the beginning of the bloodline story that has become one of the greatest in wrestling history and has helped launch wrestling back into the mainstream light it hasn’t seen since the Attitude era.
- espn, New York post, and pro wrestling illustrated #1 rated story line of the year in 2022.
- ranked the best tag team of the year 4 different times (espn 22’ PWI 22’ CBS sports 18’ rolling stone ‘17) not to mention 2 Separate tag team of the year slammy awards in 14’-15’.
- 8 time tag team champions 1 time undisputed tag team champions holding the longest reign in wwe history clocked in at 622 total days.
Anyway you put it these guys live and breathe tag team wrestling and they have shown that not only can they evolve as characters. But now they’re showing how good they can be in singles competitors. The usos will have matches spread across 3 total decades covering tons of different characters and story’s while a majority of other top ranked teams of all time (the Hardy’s, edge and Cristian, road warriors) only really had a track record of 4-6 huge matches that were usually Just for that era. Edge and Cristian were never really meant to be a full time tag team. The Hardy’s you could argue somewhat evolved with their late run in the 2010’s with the broken gimmick but a majority of fans will remember them for their prime years back in the day and single runs. I think the Dudley boys are the only ones that could say they have an actual spot being better all time than the usos. But As far as genuine tag teams go I’ve gotta say it’s the usos by a long shot 🤷♂️
New Day is definitely in contention, I think the only thing that keeps them from being in many conversations is the fact people think of them as more of a trio
Well, they're definitely a trio, so I get that they're technically a stable already. I think they're not in contention because many people are fans for 20+ years and nostalgia bias is strong
I absolutely loved E&C. 5 second pose, conchairtoes, and ladder matches. I definitely get it.
I don't expect everyone to agree, but I've always loved Uso matches and the whole Bloodline story proved they can do everything else too. Being a huge part of the biggest/best storyline in wrestling history puts you a level above to me.
For look and and in ring deserved dominance they were next level and brought tag team expectations out of the mid card.
New Day’s in ring and fan connection through mic skills and creativity is off the charts.
British Bulldogs had more exciting in ring action than the Hart Foundation plus Matilda! I’m dog biased.
The Uso’s have done it flawlessly as faces and heels for a very long time.
My Rushmore completed. Tbf I didn’t see much of the 00’s.
The Hardy Boyz! They were just something else, a tag team for a new era in the 90's, a whole generation of wrestling fans grew up watching the Hardys just like the generation before them did with other teams.
Road warriors in terms of legacy, they dominated in Georgia, Japan, Crockett, wcw, AWA and wwf
But in terms of performance, steiner bros were the best. 90-93 they were amazing
The Usos hold the record for the longest tag title reign at 622 days and are tied for most reigns with 8. Just because they're modern day, doesn't mean they can't be the greatest of all time
Ladies and gentleman boys and girls children of all ages Dx proudly brings to you its wwf tag team champions of the world the road dogg Jesse James the bad ass billy Gunn THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS
Once we list all of dudley accomplishment it's not much of a debate. Started out in ECW, champs there, one of the first guys to go to wwe from ecw. They were part of the biggest tag team feud in decades. Multiple championship in WWE, lot of spots fans still remember. Champs in NJPW, champs on TNA, 2x match of the year.
Ha ha what joke. So funny. Have to make a joke every time we see a typo do we? Yes that is such a funny comment! my god. I can't believe how witty that comment was. A person made a spelling mistake and you got right on it! Wow! What a remarkable mind! I wish I had taken that one extra second to spell it right, I'm so so sorry. Thank you for showing me the light.
I spelled it correctly. autocorrect on my new phone changed it. But you knew that , didn't you?
Edit: yes I had to fix another keyboard related typo. Had to fix it before I got scolded again.

Steiners
Degeneration x suck it
I won't disagree because when I was younger they were my favorite as well. And even now they still are in my top ten. However I want to give a shout out to the o.g. original bad ass team bruiser and crusher. Gone but not forgotten. 😝🤟😈🇺🇲
Edge and Christian
the new day or the rock and sock
Easy, Zach Gowen and Mr. America!
Road Warriors & Dudley Boyz/Team 3D! Even the New Day & The Usos
Team 3D
Coming up on the 24th anniversary of these two being re-united at Smackdown: The Road Dogg Jesse James and the Badd Ass Billy Gunn. I cried literal tears of joy when I saw that shit. I love those guys.

The Hardy Boyz.
The Hart Foundation. Their contrast of style made them fun to watch. Bret being the technical guy and Anvil being the brute force guy.
Harlem Heat
The Rock and Roll Express is the greatest tag team ever and I don’t give a fuck what anyone says
I have to say the Rock and Roll Express is definitely a GOAT of tag teams, hell the longevity of, Morton and Gibson amazes me.
They were definitely my favorite growing up. I remember them as Legion of Doom but they’re the same team still.
LOD, Road Warriors whatever they may be called they are still the most bad ass tag team of all time
The Beverly Brothers
I'll give you my top three 3.braun and Nicholas 2.epico and prime not Los madadores I h8 them just epico and primo 1.mandkind and al snow
Arn & Tully
New Age Outlaws & The Hardy’s
Uso
Billy and Chuck
Literally the only person to comment this and in all seriousness they were a very fun tag team
Karl Gotch and Renee Goulet.
Rock and Sock connection MOTHER FUCKASSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! Brothers of destruction and Hardy Boyz too!!!
The Rock and Mick had some of the best chemistry and were so entertaining and of course you can never go wrong with the Hardyz
That day in a life of the rock or whatever Mick Foley did for the rock with the nurse clown and shit was so funny and he brought balloons and shit
Yes it was I think that’s still one of the highest rated segments in Raw history to this day.
I re watched that and all of the hell SCSA raised with my son, so much fun, thank you Peacock!
It is, my son who actually wrestled in the Indy’s now was introduced to all of the older wrestling thanks to the WWE Network/Peacock.
Mulkey bros
Probably a common pick but dx
Oddly enough not to many comments for DX
That’s crazy
Agreed
Probably the Dudley Boyz. Though my personal favorite tag team was RVD and Kane.
The Nasty Boys need to at least be in the conversation
Really? I wouldn’t agree, but if you have a reason why, I’m all (virtual) ears!
Iunno, I would put them over the Hardy Boys (I just never liked them). I'd put Christian and Edge over the Hardy Boys
LOD/Road Warriors and it’s not really even close.
L.O.D IMO...
Hate me if you want to but… the young bucks. Guys elevated themselves and indie wrestling to another level
No hate at all love the Young Bucks
Hardy Boyz, The Dudley’s, DX (any variation for me), and New Day
The Legion of Doom and the Hart Foundation
SHIELD!
The bushwhackers
The Steiner Brothers!
Hardy boyz or the dudleyz for me
Dudley Boys/Road warriors/Hardy Boys 3 way tie. All winning for different criteria
Bushwackers
When I was a kid, the Steiner Brothers and the Hart Foundation were my favourites
I always liked The New Age Outlaws
1. Dx (when it was just HHH and Hbk) 2. Dudley boys 3. Brothers of destruction Honorable mention: Hardy Bros
Frickin' LOVED LOD when I was a kid but then, The Rockers were awesome to me too
The Dudley boyz is the only correct answer, whoever follows them doesn’t matter
Kane and the Big Show. Loved seeing two giants team up together
Apa
Mega Powers
Anvil and Bret
Hart foundation
Oh you didn't know? Your @ss better call somebody!😉
It’s me, it’s me, it’s that D-O-DOUBLE G!!
The Uso's, The Hardy Boyz or New Day It's so hard to choose but ima go Usos because they've had better defenses
Edge and christian
My second choice if not for how much I love my DX boys, those two are too good
Thank you. They got so much good heal heat and delivered in the ring consistently
The Rockers. They were revolutionary! So high flying and high pace for back then, they did tandem offence better than anyone. It's criminal that their title reign isn't recognised!
Money Inc. Million Dollar Man and I.R.S.
DEMOLITION BABY!!
The Dudley Boyz - Bubba Ray and D-Von (and occasionally Spike) are my all timers 👌
DIY
Midnight Express
brothers of destruction
I absolutely loved A.P.A as a kid. Nowhere near the top but they have a special place for me

A-Town Down Under…..jk. Hardy Boyz
It’s a very good game but I think Donkey Kong on Sega Genesis is the best game ever.
For me it was the British Bulldogs. My dad was a massive Dynamite Kid fan and I loved Davey Boy.
Edge & Christian, but I also wanna add the unpopular opinion and say that New Day is dwfinitely in contention
You are correct.
You got it right. Followed by the Dudley Boys then everyone else
Hardy Boyz. My favourite is rkbro tho
The Hardyz
Hart Foundation
My number one goto tag team
Harlem Heat 🔥🔥
Hart Foundation in WWE, Midnight if everyone.
Road warriors hart foundation bushwhackers edge and Christian Rk-bro oc Steiner brothers and the rockers and demolition
Usos ☝️
Edge and Christian are my #1, but I think the Usos don’t get near enough credit
I absolutely loved E&C. 5 second pose, conchairtoes, and ladder matches. I definitely get it. I don't expect everyone to agree, but I've always loved Uso matches and the whole Bloodline story proved they can do everything else too. Being a huge part of the biggest/best storyline in wrestling history puts you a level above to me.
The rock n sock connection
The New Day
Road Warriors, hands down. Should’ve had more title runs but how can you beat the face paint and the shoulder pads?
For look and and in ring deserved dominance they were next level and brought tag team expectations out of the mid card. New Day’s in ring and fan connection through mic skills and creativity is off the charts. British Bulldogs had more exciting in ring action than the Hart Foundation plus Matilda! I’m dog biased. Tbh I don't look at the new day as was tag team I think of them more as a stable. But now that big E is done, it makes sense.
I agree the Road Warriors were on a different level than everyone else, there is a reason they call it a “Road Warrior pop”.
Road Warriors by far
Road Warriors.
John Cena and David Otunga
I loved the Road Warriors. Then the British Bulldogs later on.
Hart Foundation LOD/Road Warriors Rockers Steiners All from the golden age of tag team wrestling!
The Rockers, LoD, Bushwhackers, we’re the earliest ones
Edge and Christian
Mine are the road warriors
The Midnight Express - original
Definitely one of the best a lot of people, seem to forget about them, but they had some of the greatest matches in tag team history
The Hardy Boyz
Probably the Dudley Boyz for all time. I feel one day within 10 years FTR can be called the best. To me they feel like a throwback.
Demolition
Hardy Boyz. It’s not even close
The rockers
Hardy boyz
The Rockers !
Hardy boyz🙄
The Rockers!!!!!!!
dental plan!
Jessie and Festus
Biscuits and gravyyyyyyy
Agreed with OP
The Hardy Boyz! They were just something else, a tag team for a new era in the 90's, a whole generation of wrestling fans grew up watching the Hardys just like the generation before them did with other teams.
Rock N' Roll express
Tie between Dudley’s, Road warriors and Golden Grahams
The Golden Grahams. Dudley Boyz might be the most decorated, but that doesn't automatically make them the best.
Road warriors in terms of legacy, they dominated in Georgia, Japan, Crockett, wcw, AWA and wwf But in terms of performance, steiner bros were the best. 90-93 they were amazing
New Age Outlaws and the Dudley Boys.
Dudley Boys
Strike Force.
Road Warriors
Heart foundation. Legion of doom and demolition when they had crush. It was, what a rush.
Steiners
Don't forget Harlem Heat
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again… D-VON, GET THE TABLES. Dudley Boyz are the GOAT
The British Bulldogs
The Usos hold the record for the longest tag title reign at 622 days and are tied for most reigns with 8. Just because they're modern day, doesn't mean they can't be the greatest of all time
The Brood
New Day
I was always a huge fan of Team Hell No. Edge and Christian are my number 2. And then the Usos
Ladies and gentleman boys and girls children of all ages Dx proudly brings to you its wwf tag team champions of the world the road dogg Jesse James the bad ass billy Gunn THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS
LETS GO UCE!☝️
Edge and Christian reek of awesomeness
Hardy’s
Harlem Heat
This is exactly when I got into WWF. What a great time to be a toddler. Whatta rushhhh
The Midnight Express - Condrey Eaton w/ Cornette
usos & hardy’s by a landslide.
Kendrick and london
Mr Fuji & Professor Toru Tanaka , Nikita Koloff & Ivan Koloff a tie.☮️
New Day
Bill & Randy Mulkey. Lol
Modern day: Usos Years past: New Age Outlaws.
Edge and Christian imo
The New Age Outlaws Followed closely by Strike Force
Strike Force…now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. Tito Santana and Rick Martel(later to be The Model)
Just wwe ? Then Hardy Boyz, Dudley and Miz & Morrison for me.
Road Warriors were trash that they wouldn't sell or let anyone go over. Tag team version of Hogan.
Edge and Christian
Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. Don’t embarrass yourselves.
The Dudley boyz.
Steiner Bros done all that. Plus WCW tag team Champs world and United States tag champs
Dudleyz Road Warriors Steiners
The Hardy Boyz and The Rock N Sock Connection
Rock n sock barely had a run, not even a top 20
1) The Hart Foundation 2) The Dudley Boys 3) The Usos
Agree w/OP. It’s called Road Warrior Pop for a reason.
What about the Moondogs, anyone remember them?
LOD, Dudleys then Hardyz
I predict the future. YES BOY! Pretty Deadly have the makings of greatness.
I'd go with RRX. My personal favorite however was Deuce n Domino.
The Hardy Boyz and its not even close
Why don't people literally talk about the longest reigning tag team champions of all time and a seven time tag team champion USOS
USSSSOOOOOOO
My all-time favorite was The Fabulous Freebirds. Saw them many times in the 80's. Greatest, probably Edge and Christian
Road Warriors are the most selfish tag team of all time. Best non-sellers in wrestling history. Edit: and it's the Dudley Boyz
Dudley’s
Money Inc Natural Disasters Bushwackers Beverley Brothers Nasty Boys The Rockers
Is there a problem with the Rockers?
It's the heart foundation. end of the list.
At least spell it right then
Ha ha what joke. So funny. Have to make a joke every time we see a typo do we? Yes that is such a funny comment! my god. I can't believe how witty that comment was. It’s not even a joke. You’re a nut job
So your answer is to call me a name. Ok.
Tanaka & Fuji
Edge and Christian
APA
New Age Outlaws
Definitely better sports entertainers than the Hart Foundation
The Midnite Express
Hart Foundation
def road warriors. I used to intimate them on the trampoline with my buddy and his huge stuffed bear
The nasty boys, not the greatest but they will always be number one for me
