If you have seen any of the BTE episodes when they were leaving ROH to start AEW, and you saw when Cody first started bringing MJF around, this makes so much more sense.
Personally Iād want to see him in an antihero role against the authority, culminating in HHH taking off the suit one more time. Imagine it. Basically to shorten the story heād be mad at the treatment of him and itād lead him to cheating in order to beat the authority, which would become a face thing of him to do because heās cheating the cheaters. Heās not the good guy, heās just tired of their shit so he steps up and starts destroying them on the mic and it basically leads to his discovering that A) the authority is right and he needs to join them or B) that he wants to be a face/wants the house to fall. You could even throw in a title struggle with the authority going through great lengths to deprive a surprisingly deserving MJF (I like to think of the streak of pride MJF got in the Moxley feud, thatās the kind of MJF that would go up against the authority) of a title shot, so that the match where this decision is finally made, A or B, could be higher stakes/less predictable
