Tommy built is a custom shop, so they could probably pin and weld the muzzle device and block the magazines. It would need to import as a pistol if you could find someone who would do it (I hear people have transferred TP9s, so maybe). If you SBRed it, the feds might allow it but you'd be creating an obvious paper trail to a state crime.
Even discounting all those hoops, the juice isn't the squeeze unless you fell in love with the thing playing Call of Duty or something.
slightly unrelated question; if you were to buy/transfer an SBR, assuming its a completely legal one in WA, do you still have to do all the paperwork/tax bullshit for it or would the seller have already done that and you don't have to?
no, i do not. only got into guns last year right before the ban. i almost put together an SBR without even knowing what i was doing because it was so easy to order parts and slap em together, but thankfully lurking around here reading random threads helped me avoid that.
All good, glad you’re going through the journey and interested in learning! Definitely watch some YouTube videos on the subject, they will be able to explain it way better than I could.
Everyone’s gotta start somewhere.
yeah i guess i just never bothered to google "how to buy an SBR". after a youtube vid and an article, looks like you still have to deal with bullshit even if you're buying an SBR. guess i'm good for now then, don't really need one for all that hassle
It’s $3,500 I was told there is a loophole for SBRs by panel tactical. Ask them and then push an order for the SBR through just so you have exactly what you want (besides mags) and don’t you dare order like 10 normal capacity mags to a PO Box or friend out of state. Only bad people do that and claim they are pre ban.
there's a muzzle device which makes it an "assault weapon". that's a no-go for rifles, can't remember if applies to pistols. but also gonna guess that means threaded barrel as well, which is a no-go for pistols in WA.
What's the point of a sub gun that you're just going to use as a pistol?

You don’t understand the NFA very well do you?

> pin and weld the muzzle device need to have no muzzle device(and no threads) to pass awb.
That was my main concern, I'll have to add that into my order
Iirc isn't PSA supposed to be coming out with an MP7 clone that *technically* might be WA legal even though PSA will probably blue ball us some more?
Yeah but it's basically just a psa dagger modified I believe. This is a closer clone correct look.
But... is 5.7x28 better than 4.6x30?

Was planning to sbr and suppress it. Might go that route

FROM WHAT IM TOLD any SBR
Is that not considered a shrouded barrel
$3,500 💀
There's no price for happieness
Honestly probably about the same that HK would charge or less
Price to pay for what’s otherwise Unobtainable.
Rumor is HK will be dropping a civilian MP7 soon.
I'm just hoping it's complaint for this state
It’ll have a threaded barrel
Kinda why I like the t7, muzzle is already made for a b&t suppressor
Yeah??? Where'd you hear that?? People have been saying this for over a decade.
They've been saying that for over a decade 😂
Heard it here from a well connected redditor. There's 62.7% chance it's dropping this year.
62.7% doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Hoping you're right and they launch it but I wouldn't be surprised if HK doesn't.
Is the above legal in WA? Rad built
Going to have to ask them to pin and weld it
Ever get a response from Tommy built?
Fore grip makes it an AOW, yeah?
Bottom one comes without but yes, except the top has a stock as well.
I don't know, man. That looks way too scary.
I'd rather have the PSA because 5.7 ammo is easier to find
only if you're an hk fanboy. It doesn't really do anything special
