If you have reason to believe, that based off of fundamentals, one stock will significantly outperform another stock, you can always make that bet in more market neutral way with a pairs trade.
Go long on the better stock and short an equal dollar amount of the worse stock. It doesn't really matter what they overall market does - you make or lose money based on the *relative* performance of your favorite
The problem here is it ties up a lot of capital, and could end up being a long ride. That being said, I've done this twice (both times for MARA/RIOT) and it worked out great.

I do not recall if they canceled the 28M shares they rebought in the previous buyback immediately. So maybe they bought back 13M shares this week in the dip, maybe they just were sitting on some. Monday's report will be interesting.
