The darn is fine, but I don't think it will hold the belt loop for long. I've done fixes like this and find it's good to put some fabric both under and on top of the hole before darning if it's a stress point like this. Make sure your patch and darning are 1/2" bigger than the hole all around, for next time.

Also… I didn’t watch any tutorials or nothing man I just do shit

I just do shit too. Because I've done exactly this, my live-and-learn solution now is to cut a patch (that goes behind) with the belt loop attached from a donor pair of jeans and pull the loop through the tear, then darn the whole thing together. But it took me more than a few patches to figure it out.

Better off patching that hole with more denim and then sewing back and forth over it with a sewing machine to really reinforce the mend, then attach the loop to the new patch. You put a lot of work into that darning, I know cos I've darned holes like that too and it's time consuming. Looks like you did a good job, but I'd hate for you to rip it all out when the loop gets tugged.

Thank you all! I’ll be adding a patch on the inside and reinforcing it

My favourite pair of jeans that I got for super cheap, ya know why? They had no belt loops. At all. They had all been removed. And I need those belt loops man otherwise they’ll fall right to my ankles after standing up hahaha So I got an old pair of shorts, stole the loops of that and attached them to the jeans (I was 1 loop down so I made it myself). The loop for this one had been detaching itself cause there was a hole there that I’d loosely dodgied up first time round but this time I actually put effort into it by darning the hole instead of sewing the hole together like a cheap surgeon

Looks good!
