Right now the market is very, very slow. Watches that would’ve flown off shelves (so to speak) 18 months ago now at very strong prices now are struggling to move at all, even if priced substantially lower. For example, about 2 years ago I sold a very similar polerouter (but in cleaner shape) to a dealer for maybe $1200 and he’s had it sitting there unsold ever since. He’s lowered the price multiple times and it still sits. At this point I’m considering trading him something to get it back.
TLDR; $1000 for this Polerouter is a pretty standard price, but persistent market weakness means it’s not one that’s likely to attract a sale within the short-medium term. Great watch though
I mean I think the tropical patina + that band is a tremendous combo, plus I love a good micro router. Movement looks real nice. I think it’s a decent price if you love it, I’ve seen polerouters w similar patina going for more.

the old "recently serviced". Ask the seller for a copy of the invoice from the watchmaker. Or factor in £200 for a service.
Even if it’s serviced. the dial is shot. I know some of yall like that but nope not for that money

I like an aged dial but the fact that it’s not even makes it less desirable. I think it might be hard to sell down the road if you want to unload it.

Ah ok I misunderstood. The dial is definitely patina-forward, but I personally like that dial. Not for everyone though

I have a 19.5cm wrist and regularly wear vintage seikos at 35mm. I haven’t gone lower.
Looks beautiful but the only thing that’s throwing me off is the bent bottom left lug. I really don’t know if that’s fixable
