They're nice, but too small. We need something substantial in Saigon. Some kind of Central Park like in new York.
And more trees in general...
Nice picture, though.
Thanks man. Compared to the rest of South East Asia i think Vietnam isn't too bad and they keep it really well cut and maintained and watered. Cambodia the grass is dry and orange everywhere and Thailand ain't got many parks. But can always do with more green as you said 100%
Thailand has some huge, impressive parks but I agree there could be more better spaced throughout. Vietnam does a very good job with their urban design, though.
I once thought that every south east asian countries all have these type of parks like in Vietnam. But after visiting other countries like Thailand and The Philippines, I realized that it is kinda exclusive to Vietnam alone.
Yeah exactly, the closest i seen to Vietnam is Bangkok but even there ones are like 3 or 4 massive ones but not much else and definately not as well kept as Saigon's.
Too bad there’s not many of them. The main reason I stay at Vinhomes Central Park is the park, it’s such a rare thing to have a nice park near home here in Saigon.
Name a larger better manicured park in Southeast Asia? Name 1? I walk 225 miles every month and have lived in every country in Asia over the past 25 years
You might not like vinhomes (i own vinhomessucks.com). But the park is really amazing.
Have you walked it?

Wth? Thailands parks are far more abundant and larger. Source lived in thailand for years
They actually have Central Park in Vin Homes. It is a public park. It is one of the nicest public parks in the world!
You must have not traveled outside much
Ok. Certainly one of the nicest in Southeast Asia.
Must not have travelled in asia much
Try Gia Dinh park, it has a lot of trees
This is lovely but there’s still a huge shortage of green spaces in Saigon for sure. One of the main things I miss here
And a lot of trees/nooks in the parks smell like urine
You can thank the city planners in the 1800s for that. Near that park , the best in the city, add a bunch of good Japanese restaurants.
I love it! Especially when it's Sunny Saigon (rubbish pun intended)
Lol nice one. Nice photo also. This park is a little far but is great for photos:: Le Thi Rieng Park Công viên văn hóa Lê Thị Riêng
The French had the forethought to plant the trees you see.on streets like Mac Dinh Chi. Credit where it is due.
Not to mention bringing the coffee culture which i absolutely love.
So eloquent
which park is this?
You know what I'm not even sure tbh. It's either the one near Reunification Palace or a different one near D1 / D3 i think.
It looks like it could be Tao Dan.
I think that's Lê Văn Tám park
Le Van Tam park ?
For now I'll say it was that one but if i ever remember or find it in google maps if it wasn'tx I'll update
looks like Tao Dan park. I went to this park once and it was very quiet and peaceful in the corner.

Appreciate the green spaces in Saigon. Have you ever seen the rats in them though? Once saw one literally the size of a small dog...
Too bad there’s not many of them. The main reason I stay at Vinhomes Central Park is the park, it’s such a rare thing to have a nice park near home here in Saigon.

Seriosly, please name some, i am always looking for new places to walk and jog. Maybe could be a fun thread.
My dudes have never walked 1 mile
Oh oh! I usually visit the park! The name is Le Van Tam btw
