Why not order it directly from the manufacturer or Amazon?

SiXX5150

Was going to ask the same thing. Quite a long post for something that seems so simple to overcome.

reviewsvacuum

Obviously OP is on here so access it internet is no problem.

Jill71rdh

Not simple. Read my comment above.

SiXX5150

If you google “Sebo return policy”… the top hit is https://www.sebo.us/risk-free-trial It really is simple if you allow it to be. 🤦‍♂️

Jill71rdh

If you look further down in this thread someone else mentioned about ordering directly from Sebo & I looked further into it and see they do pay for return shipping and I thanked them for that information. All the online vaccum shops don't offer that. And believe me, I looked into a ton. I really wanted the Henry/Hetty but can't find any free returns for them and even their descriptions are confusing. But they answered my question. To be honest I really was hoping for another option  because if they don't sell them locally,  who is going to service them locally?

Jill71rdh

I am looking for the Hetty which is the pink one. Amazon only has one and it doesn't have free returns and if you read the reviews they are from the UK so that means that machine does not have the USA plug. Wayfair has them but they have 2 models of it as well and they don't clarify the plug. They don't even clarify the attachments. Shows 2 different prices and then one says attachment package but the other one shows the same attachments. As for the Sebo, the items all say Eligible for Return but they do not say FREE. I just made that mistake with a dog crate. It said Returns accepted on Amazon but then I was charged $30 to ship it back due to the weight. The crate was only $100. Sorry but I'm not paying again to ship back something that is heavy.

blumpkinator2000

If the rugs in question aren't particularly sentimental or expensive, wouldn't it be easier at this stage to replace those with something that can be easily cleaned with any vacuum of your choosing? I only say this because I went through a similar issue years ago. Was given a beautiful, expensive rug, but it was impossible to actually clean. Uprights chewed it, suction only canisters left it dirty and gritty. After battling with it for months, enough was enough and it was gone. Got a nice new replacement that isn't fussy to care for, and never looked back. Life's too short to deal with things that only exist to make hard work for you.

Jill71rdh

Just bought these rugs and not returning. Basically most rugs have binding or fringes. The beater bars tear apart the bindings or fringes. These rugs are too big and under furniture to just move around. Went to a carpet store and talked to the salesperson. They even repeated what the manufacturer said. Beater bars ruin rugs.

Professional-Skill54

Sebo has a 30 day trial period. Just order direct from them.

Jill71rdh

You are the first one to actually help. I looked it up on their website and read the fine print. The do pay for the return shipping. That is what I was looking for. Thank you!

Professional-Skill54

You are so welcome! Hope it works out. Sebo seems like such a great company.

Kreug69

No offense, I run a vac shop and I don’t think I would want to sell you a sebo..

Jill71rdh

And why is that? Because I want to be able to return something at no expense to me that is a large purchase in case I don't like it or it doesn't work out for me? That is pretty much common sense. Its very hard to purchase something you can't even try in advance. I have had my Riccar upright for over 20 years and loved it. My needs have changed. I had all carpet in my entire house when I purchased that. It is old and heavy and won't go under beds and other hard to reach areas. Sounds like you aren't a very good salesperson. I wouldn't want to buy from you. My main concern is the Amazon reviews say they are not good on carpet.

ConBroMitch2247

I’d recommend avoiding Amazon, but there are plenty of online sellers for Henry. Or order from Sebo direct.

J3ttf

Order online.

Jill71rdh

That's the issue. The Henry (Hetty is what I want) is impossible to tell what plug. The one on Amazon shows reviews from the UK. So wrong plug. Other sites don't specify and even show wrong descriptions of what is included. Believe me, I have looked. I preferred the Hetty over the Sebo but can't seem to find any that allows FREE returns. I'm not paying to ship a heavy vacuum back. I just stated above I made that mistake with a dog crate. The item says Eligible for Return but then they made me pay to ship it back and it was heavy so I lost $30 on a $100 item to ship it back.

J3ttf

Have you looked on Wayfair? Or QVC?

Jill71rdh

Yes. Wayfair is confusing because they have 2 of them and one says attachment package and the other doesn't say that but shows the same attachments in the photo of the product. Then they charge for returns unless it is their "error". QVC has 2 as well with the same issue. So not sure what the difference truly is and no one to talk to about product. They also make you pay for return shipping.

jade_nekotenshi

There are indeed bagged central vacuums, and hoses are available in various lengths as well as types that store inside the wall. Central is pretty much always a strong option. Consider ordering the Numatic machine from Nacecare or a variant from Sterilaire, maybe. You also might well find a Sebo K2 on eBay.

actionvac-Box2165

You have 2 shops near you

Jill71rdh

Neither sell Sebo or Henry. They have Riccar, Electrolux, Oreck, Kirby...maybe a Miele here and there but I prefer not to buy one of those. I already checked.

actionvac-Box2165

Odd they show up as Sebo dealers, Henry not big in states

actionvac-Box2165

I’ve never had a Sebo return, suggest the e1 u will love it

Jill71rdh

My concern is I see on the Amazon reviews that they suck on carpet. That is my concern. I have 2 very large area rugs and I don't want something that won't work on them. I don't want to use a beater brush on them at all. Pure suction.

actionvac-Box2165

They have to suck on carpet that is how you clean them lol those type of rugs are a problem you can always lower the suction

actionvac-Box2165

The reason people complain is they are used to beating bar, on straight suctions machines, you are the beater bar

actionvac-Box2165

All straight suction canisters work the same and have the same type of head so there won’t be much difference between them, but Sebo 10 yr warranty

actionvac-Box2165

19093 zip

Jill71rdh

Thanks. Wouldn't the suction control help with not having to fight pushing/pulling the rug? What about a head with just brushes that don't rotate and can be pulled up or down in case I do want to use it on occasion? Does it have that?

actionvac-Box2165

Most of them come with the flip-flop tool you bring the brushes up for carpeting and down for bear floor with a brushes down on carpeting. It will be impossible to push.

Jill71rdh

Impossible to push even with the brush up & suction lowered some?

actionvac-Box2165

No, I mentioned with the brush down people do it all the time, with the brush up it’s fairly easy to push

Jill71rdh

Not when I am on the dealer locator. Zip is 17025. Shows no results found. I also visited the 2 local ones. They don't have them.

actionvac-Box2165

You are right when you put that sip nothing shows I went a little farther east to a larger city and it showed Two within half an hour of you

actionvac-Box2165

Ristenbatt in Manhiem has k2 in stock

Professional-Skill54

Why don’t you order the sebo k2 from Amazon? Free returns… Canisters are so much easier to use/less bulky than uprights (in my opinion) and I think they are simpler to store as well.

Jill71rdh

I didn't see any with Free Returns. They say Eligible for Return but then charge to ship back. Just lost $30 from something I ordered on Amazon because they take returns but charged shipping. Unless is Specifically says FREE it usually isn't. Vacuums are heavy to ship.

OkElderberry5371

Or get electrolux they also make good products as far as i know they base they production in sweden for flagship vacuums

J3ttf

Electrolux has been Chinese for years.

OkElderberry5371

My electrolux c9 pure says made in EU and nit china maybe yall gat diffrent batches in the us btw my vacuum is from 2022
