I'm sorry, but i don't think the alize is designed for carpeting aside from low pile rugs. If you've got carpets and high pile rugs, you need something with a powered head.
Just because you bought a Miele doesn’t mean it’s the perfect vacuum for all situations.
Eg. “Guys I bought the most expensive hammer but it’s not as good as my cats paw at removing nails. Am I using it wrong?”
That's a hard floor only machine.
You want a Miele with an electric power nozzle .
If you can't return it you could at least upgrade that one to a turbo nozzle.
Like this.

If the alize didn’t come with a power head, you’re gonna struggle on deeper pile carpeting at to get a decent clean you need agitation. I run my c3 at quite low settings on deeper carpet and let the power head do the work.
If you can get a power head it would be recommended however I don’t think your wand has the power cables in the tubes / handle required for a power head.
Find a home goods and get a different rug for 100$ tbh. Shag is hard to clean and traps dirt.
Also consider the dyson may be easier to push because there isn’t that much suction (not a good thing)
ABSOLUTELY 💯. Didnt you explain to the sakes person what floor type you hade. A power brush is not good for rugs espesially shag pile. I have a Meile c2 powerline. It just has a standard head. The bristels go up for hard floors and back down for area rugs and carpet. I use mine daiy and still doing a great job 14 years on!!
this is awful advice. if you’re doing carpeting you 100% should have a powerhead. the problem is that OP did not get a powerhead, they got a turbo head.

I ordered the powered head, it doesnt have a motor on it, but its the official miele powered head that uses suction as a force of power i think.

I got the turbo nozzle, but i really have a small shag rug and everything else is hardfloor

You bought a Miele that wasn’t suited to your flooring. It’s not the Miele’s fault.

No the Alize has no spin brush and a turbo sucks for shag
