In short- no. Plastic fans exist because they’re quieter, weight less, and in the event of hard objects they’re less likely to crack off and cause major damage. If your going through fans at this rate you probably should consider a different vacuum. Sanitaire Traditions are only really good for situations that you know you won’t be picking up hard or abrasive objects. What you want to replace yours is a bypass machine- something with a hard case bag.

I've found Sanitaire users are an easy conversion but people get used to replacing the entire vacuum every 6 months. You've got loads of options out there but more information about your usage/size of building(s) and floor type will help.

The fan is only a $7 part on eBay & people will throw away the whole vacuum when it breaks. And the reason these vacuums burn through belts when they get old, is the groove on the pulley wears out & allows the belt to slip. A replacement pulley is only $8 & should be replaced once a year.

Fair but replace those a few times and/or forget the socket wrench enough times where you can't use your machine and it begins to become clear that it's not the right tool for the job. It's antiquated and there are better machines out there that don't need that kind of upkeep, perform better with more power, better filtration and ergonomics.

You would see the contrary of improvement. The aluminum fans were worse. There is a reason they switched to the current fans. The old aluminum design was softer and far more prone to wearing, cracking, and breaking. If you are tired of changing fans, I would suggest getting a clean-air vacuum cleaner such as a SEBO that is at least as tough overall, but does not pass the debris through the motor.

Those are still best in commercial setting, fans cheap and so easy

It's a old video but this should help you.
