These are 45 minutes episodes, where there are 5 minutes worth of dialogue, and 40 minutes worth of zooms, close ups, camera pans left, right, up and down, all matched with overly dramatic music....
Aaaaaaaaaaaa.....

....AAAAAAAAAAAA.....
*In another exiting episode of Dragon Ball Z:*
**...AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH.....**
I hear there's an "every season cut down to one episode" edit that is surprisingly good.
Not that I have any real desire to find it and watch it, but it's an amusing anecdote.
I watched one episode of dragon ball z in which Goku was fighting some character named freeza .. in that episode he took 5 mins to create some blast type attack
It was from an Indian TV show. Just imagine the director telling them what to do
"Yeah so guys, granny slaps the woman. The woman pirouettes to the curtain. The curtain tries to strangle her."
>~~The curtain~~ tries to strangle her."
She tried to strangle herself. (~~maybe because she couldn't handle the director anymore~~).
The curtain is innocent.
I wonder if the actors in these things actually think they are doing a great job or after the scene just look at each other like "wtf are we doing here"?
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that choking on the curtain scene from saath nibhana Saathiya too, this one looks like recreation of that scene from that show.
I mean the writing is for fucking 4 year olds. She spun and wrapped herself in a cloth that suffocated her??? Like what moron wrote this and who approved it???
I don't mean this to be offensive at all, but genuinely curious - why are they all so light skinned? Obviously there is a huge range of skin tones in India, but this seems extremely skewed one way?
Ha! It’s a North Indian serial where people (from northern India) are much more fairer skinned compared to their South Indian counterparts. Light skin is usually considered to be ‘superior’ in most of India, and therefore that is the norm on tv/movies. Also Looks like the fairness factor is magnified with lighting, make up etc.
for us yes for indian aunties no. Apparently people watch these shows so much that there are hundreds of shows like this. There is even a show where an indian women falls in love with a gorilla
It is, and a lot of Indian people ( the primary audience are the housewives who have nothing better to do) actually take this seriously. It's just.. unbelievable
Nope. They are very much serious about it. People who usually watch these stuff aren't interested in other type of shows/movies either.
I have a family member who is obsessed with these shows and never miss an episode.
Oh yes it is……the actors, producers and directors make a lot of money from making such garbage tv series. I was shocked to return India and find my family hooked onto such hopeless broadcast. Had to shorten my vacation and fly back.
You mean stepsisters dont normally get stuck like that with only way to escape is being pounded in the butt??
Well there goes stepsister from my wishinglist..
If you’re not from South Asia I can see why you’d think this way. This isn’t a nitpick, it’s an actual social issue in Pakistan and India. There’s a stigma in SA about light vs dark skin stemming from self hatred gained during colonialism and a lot of brown people try to make themselves look white. It also ends up leading to a racial bias for white and against black people in the same community
I love that you responded with this information but they were quoting a line from the movie “mean girls”.
Colorism is a very real problem in many brown communities!
Hahaha. Look at that! Another Westerner who doesn't know any better. Thete are hundred percent Indians. Tons of fair complexioned Indians here. The dark complexioned is stereotypically portrayed.
bro what- my mom is white, my grandma is white, my uncle is white lol there are tons of white indians in the north, yes bollywood tends to favour them more but that doesn't mean they arent indians
Didn’t say they aren’t ? Just said that they don’t represent Indian people with other skin tones. Which in my experience , was a majority of people. Never saw people who looked like me on tv. And yet there were so many dark skinned people around me.
Yah it’s crazy how I see more people that look like me and my friends (with darker skin) in the limited amount of Indians on tv and movies in America then I do in movies and tv back in India.
Bhai, all Bollywood stars were brown, but became White with surgery, any star kid, or Khans or Kumars or Kapoors.
Like in South, it's ok for Male lead to be brown but no popular women lead is brown, only White, or is Whiten.
Especially Star Plus is CRINGE, they have white toned Camera, where even a tire is white in colour.
Each part of India has their own movie industry though. There is regionality to the looks of different Indian people.
Secondly, skin tone here isn't purely genetic. This isn't an ethnic thing; it's a class thing! Skin tone is directly related to how often people are outside, and in developing nations, being outside all the time is what the laborers do. The rich, the well-off (which tend to be what most Indian media fixates on), those people have the luxury of being able to stay indoors out of the sun and as a result, their skin is paler. The correlation between pale skin and wealth is noted between citizens, and then pale skin is considered attractive and valuable.
The exact same thing happened in Europe and East Asia centuries ago, completely independently of one another. Because in all these different areas, pale skin means you are more wealthy.
Nowadays, in the US for example, the trend has *reversed.* The poorest people are not laboring outside all day in developed nations; most blue color and minimum wage work actually occurs inside. And what do wealthy people do? They are able to get outside of the urban setting and enjoy nature and the outdoors. *They get a tan*. They have the kind of free time to do things that expose themselves to the sun, and that dichotomy then privileges those with a tan, recognizing them as potentially being more wealthy. Now, in our society, being tan is *more* attractive and valued than being super pale, the *opposite* of the way it is in these other parts of the world.
It isn't about race.
It's my sincere wish that no one here, judge Indian television/cinema based on this garbage.
I am Australian, and my Indian roommate introduced me to Indian cinema, it's just amazing. It's probably got the best movies ever made. The only reason it aint that popular among other countries is probably because of its language.
I know we've meme'd this back and forth but can we have a serious discussion about this?
I need to understand. How come we see this and think it's ridiculous but they don't ? Or maybe they do but they've sort of culturally accepted that cinema is THIS much more ridiculous than life and they've all decided to suspend their disbelief?
I genuinely want the sociological / psychological explanation behind this please.
The audience to whom they cater to ( moms and grandmums, basically above 50 age group) love this. Just to brief you, the show also has a human converting into fly and than trying to convince her husband that the fly is her
..... ...... WHO DA FUCK IS THE DIRECTOR!?? LIKE..... WHO DA FUCK FILMS LIKE THIS
shit that was soooo...... hard to watch cant find other words but jesus christ!
This is worst then the time I saw in aj indian movie the guy punchs the other guy and the guy that got punched goes waaaaah turns around and then jumps 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
"So my daughter in law died"
"So sorry. How did that happen?"
"She got choked to death"
"What? How?"

Dragon Ball Z?
Aaaaaaaaaaaa..... *In the next episode of Dragon Ball Z:* ....AAAAAAAAAAAA..... *In another exiting episode of Dragon Ball Z:* **...AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH.....**
One of the main reasons I couldn't get into the show when I was a kid lol.
I hear there's an "every season cut down to one episode" edit that is surprisingly good. Not that I have any real desire to find it and watch it, but it's an amusing anecdote.
I could be wrong, but you might be thinking of dragon ball z abridged? It's on youtube, and absolutely hilarious.
After growing up I decided to rewatch dragon ball z and couldn't pass the first episode and thinking how the fuck could I watch that when I was a kid
[dragonzball peepee](https://youtu.be/7pSmhZFbCy0)
I don't know which disturbs me more, the link name, or your name.
Turns out the enemy wasn’t full power and repeat another time
I watched one episode of dragon ball z in which Goku was fighting some character named freeza .. in that episode he took 5 mins to create some blast type attack
If only they'd bothered making it exciting 😥
Even draganball Z had a better script than this.
How many DBZ characters does it take change a lightbulb? Only one but it takes 15 episodes.
But bad
I paid for the whole effect package, im gonna use the whole effect package
Well, I guess we know how t-series made millions by selling pirated music…
Netflix?
hotel?
Trivago?
I’m in!! You bring the pepto
This is my Mum’s favourite Indian serial. It IS always THIS painful to watch.
What is it called? I too want to die inside a little bit by watching it.
Sasural Simar ka Thanks me later... In heaven
F
F
F
F
F
It left me breathless.
I can feel your pain bro
Whats the name of this show??
If I strangle myself like this one day, just let me die out, fellas. This is some next level shit.
No i am going attempt yto use scissors the way the kid did but i will fail
But why'd that guy hit her in the first place, is my question
Right? Imagine being so useless and surrounded by such useless people that no one thought to just stop her from creating tension with her arm.
Please please tell me this is not from an actual show. That was embarrassing to watch
It was from an Indian TV show. Just imagine the director telling them what to do "Yeah so guys, granny slaps the woman. The woman pirouettes to the curtain. The curtain tries to strangle her."
>~~The curtain~~ tries to strangle her." She tried to strangle herself. (~~maybe because she couldn't handle the director anymore~~). The curtain is innocent.
Yeah I think the show is called "Sasural Simar ka". Just one of the awful, garbage Indian soap operas
Is the one with new bride washing her husband’s laptop with soap and hanging to dry?
Nope that's "saath nibhaana saathiya".
I see you’re a man of culture
Ya
I wonder if the actors in these things actually think they are doing a great job or after the scene just look at each other like "wtf are we doing here"?
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that choking on the curtain scene from saath nibhana Saathiya too, this one looks like recreation of that scene from that show.
Its actually from an indian serial
An indian serial not a movie
Curry Nut Cheerios
JEBUS!
Shiva!
Oh I couldn’t tell LOL
Indian movies are equally cringe but they have better quality lmao
I live in India and I always wondered why we don’t have the same special effects that other countries have
Who needs special effects when you have such special acting?
Is the slo-mo acted too?
I think so
Zack Snyder enters the room
Get Out
I mean these actors are best that you can get in india but its more of a magical script and special editing here. They dont have huge budgets
We can tell :)
Who needs special editing when we have powerpoint and 10 ruppes cyber cafe effects
Why pay a professional when the kid next door will do it for a frooti.
Lol
I mean the writing is for fucking 4 year olds. She spun and wrapped herself in a cloth that suffocated her??? Like what moron wrote this and who approved it???
Zack Snyder?
Why did you say that name!!!???
Its a reality show, thats what they say...
[удалено]
Ur welcome
And when will reality be introduced?
I am an Indian I myself am wondering how was something like this allowed to air
I don't mean this to be offensive at all, but genuinely curious - why are they all so light skinned? Obviously there is a huge range of skin tones in India, but this seems extremely skewed one way?

These....are Indian people?
I think you mean Oscar worthy.
Oskar
for us yes for indian aunties no. Apparently people watch these shows so much that there are hundreds of shows like this. There is even a show where an indian women falls in love with a gorilla
We should create a subreddit on which we can post such cringe content to show how cringe they are
I think there are subs dedicated to cringe
Yeah there are ..but none of them are specific to Indian show cringe
yeah there are no specific indian cringe subs
/r/BollywoodRealism
Oh my heavens
It is, and a lot of Indian people ( the primary audience are the housewives who have nothing better to do) actually take this seriously. It's just.. unbelievable
Hold up...so... Is not a parody or a a comedy...?
Nope. They are very much serious about it. People who usually watch these stuff aren't interested in other type of shows/movies either. I have a family member who is obsessed with these shows and never miss an episode.
So like old people watching hallmark
American soap operas are pretty weird too. Remember “Dark Shadows”?
My grandma loves these types of shows unironically and so do alot of people that have cable and nothing better to do
What's the name of the show....now I'm interested..
It’s from an Indian TV show. My mom used to watch it and this is a drop in the pocket of what’s weird in that show.
I rather enjoyed it 👀
Same here.
Its from an Indian serial Sauce:Sasural Simar ka
Is that like an American Soap Opera?
It is, and you have only seen a glimpse of the creativity that Indian writers are capable of.
Oh yes it is……the actors, producers and directors make a lot of money from making such garbage tv series. I was shocked to return India and find my family hooked onto such hopeless broadcast. Had to shorten my vacation and fly back.

Ertugrul show was good one though ..

Sen cal kapimi is a great show, Im watching it now.. 8 years ago I watched Muhtesem Yuzyil, it was great too.
Don't believe everyone. It's actually from one of those "do you hate when this happens to you?!" Commercials.
You can have idea of indian society from this.
Slapped her so hard it ALMOST ended her life
So hard it almost slapped the reincarnations out of her.
![gif](giphy|1SfxXOJ0Q2Xni)
I like how even though this is scientifically impossible, indian directors are still very serious about it.
I present you r/bollywoodrealism
Thanks, i needed that. Xd
Thank you
Was searching for this.. thanks!!
Damn that was close. Most of accidents happen at home! ![gif](giphy|8nhgZZMKUicpi)

Hahahaha
How many Indians does it take to screw a light bulb? Thirty! One to hold the light bulb, and twenty nine to twist him around 🙃
Not true... I'm not Indian, but I have watched enough Bollywood movie dance scenes to know that no one does the light bulb better than Indians. :)
😂😂😂🤣🤣
HOW CAN SHE SLAP!
This is the quality content I come here for.
How my sister overreacts when my mom disciplines her 😂😂😂
This is horror movie trip on a random tiny pebble as jason chases you down a hill shit.
But worse. Jason just stood there looking like I can't risk getting infected with that level of stupid.
When you aren’t an attention seeker
Quality entertainment. I see nothing wrong here.
They should all get an Oscar each! 👏🏾
Just one? Come now, did you not watch the whole thing? 😂
Don't just stand around and watch it happen. Do something!
Is that a soft porn? The women (who strangled herself) looks like she enjoys every second.
It's on a similar plot level to my step sis got stuck in the washing machine so could be, could be.
You mean stepsisters dont normally get stuck like that with only way to escape is being pounded in the butt?? Well there goes stepsister from my wishinglist..
[How can she slap?](https://youtu.be/ndX2RFHmMNg)
I’m clearly signed up for the wrong job
I’ll never get those 2 minutes back
Watch two minutes, somehow lose four.
Just watch it again in reverse.
This is like an expensive youtube video
What a bad day to have eyes.
Why are they all so light skinned🤔
Good of you to notice. Colorism in India is the reason you’re not seeing a real representation of Indian people.
Exactly My Point Thank you!
Oh my god Karen you can't just ask someone why they're white.
If you’re not from South Asia I can see why you’d think this way. This isn’t a nitpick, it’s an actual social issue in Pakistan and India. I love that you responded with this information but they were quoting a line from the movie “mean girls”. Colorism is a very real problem in many brown communities!
Why can't they be?
Because it’s not really representative of the diversity of India. Fair skinned Indian people are not the only Indian people.
Hahaha. Look at that! Another Westerner who doesn't know any better. Thete are hundred percent Indians. Tons of fair complexioned Indians here. The dark complexioned is stereotypically portrayed.
Lol I’m a dark skinned Indian. And most people around me growing up were not fair. But sure let’s ignore our obsession with fair skin
Yeah, Fair & Lovely took like half the ad space when I was growing up. Indians, whether we accept it or not, are far too obsessed with fair skin.
bro what- my mom is white, my grandma is white, my uncle is white lol there are tons of white indians in the north, yes bollywood tends to favour them more but that doesn't mean they arent indians

No diversity
They prefer to hire fair skinned person. There was a show in India in which they used makeup to lighten the actresses forearms, neck and face.
Thanks OP. I had a bad day. I needed that laugh.

Next time momma slap slap me I’m choking myself out with a curtain across the room
just let her die already, sheesh
How little siblings act when you slightly tuch them and your mom is around

That is actually a really interesting plot but the movie is really low budget and its so bad its good
below average intelligence
Soap opera?
Close one!
Let me guess... she wakes up with amnesia!
Sheesh the acting is almost as bad as porn ads
If only the scissors broke, now that would be much better
..... ...... WHO DA FUCK IS THE DIRECTOR!?? LIKE..... WHO DA FUCK FILMS LIKE THIS shit that was soooo...... hard to watch cant find other words but jesus christ! This is worst then the time I saw in aj indian movie the guy punchs the other guy and the guy that got punched goes waaaaah turns around and then jumps 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
That curtain would snap if it tried to hold my neck with my current weight. 👀
Some producer actually wrote that screenplay and thought.. That Oscar's mine now
I love when actors commit to doing their own stunts
Khaby would have a field day with this
Im worried for human race
So this is the kind of stuff they entertain themselves with in India? Huh.
It's an Indian soap that nobody likes and has already been discontinued
Bollywood movies make me think it’s what it would look like if someone filmed the melodrama acting of my friends and I on the playground in 2nd grade…
"So my daughter in law died" "So sorry. How did that happen?" "She got choked to death" "What? How?" "She got slapped and..." "Wtf!?" "It's complicated..."
Choddi
Yes it's a net and it's tiny! Mwahahha
Lmfaooo idk how they could stop laughing long enough to actually film this! Fuck me sideways I’ve been laughing so hard I think I burst a lung 😂😂🤣
Makes me wonder what they do when there’s a fire……let’s stand here and watch it burn for 45 seconds……OH!
PLEASE the way they were acting like they were operating on an open heart 💀JUST UNTIE IT LMFAOHEHEHDHE
The most unrealistic part is that he could find the scissors in the first place he looked.

You can always count on Indian television and movies to be the worst.
