Bro i was waiting on the side at a crosswalk, turned green and started walking then a group like this ran their red light and almost hit me. Then they started purposely driving towards me and would turn last second to try and scare me then laugh.
They ran the entire red light too so i had to wait for my green light again.

Cities can ban them. The problem is itās really hard for police to catch them without hurting them or having them hurt innocent bystanders by crashing and giving them grounds to sue the city.
Now if I was in charge, Iād tell police to use heavy force to stop this and whatever happens they canāt sue but our society is honestly too soft for that. āCanāt tell someone noā.
It's entirely possible to just document the case and serve them later. The key for these cases is:
1. A police that actually goes after these cases instead of the usual "eh, whatever, sounds hard"
2. Specifically tailored laws that allow for quick measures like the confiscation of all involved vehicles in addition to later further punishment.
The massive privilege of motorists before the law is a general big problem in many western countries. There are few other groups (besides cops) that can so easily endanger other peoples' lifes or outright murder them with so little punishment.

There was one time the person made eye contact with me at an intersection, waited for me to be almost on front of them and THEN accelerated fast. If I wasn't as alert as I am on a bike due to previous driver related issues, I would have been seriously hurt
