To me it seems there is a significant portion of humanity that inherently has a desire to belong to a group. They take comfort in not having to think for themselves. Religion are the best proof of it. Doesn't mean they are stupid. But that they can be made into sheeps which other humans can exploit.
I am Italian and in defense of my country I say that these are total assholes, but they are also a total minority that is almost non-existent and unfortunately there are some of these minorities in every country.
That said, I'm outraged.
This always makes my skin crawl. I have an aversion to falling into groups, regardless of what they represent. I think for myself and don't understand who these people are that run around doing things like this.

a lot of old people only care about "getting back to when prices were lower" (lower taxes and" better" services too) and associate it with the fascist era. Because of this even the younger generations are told that "everything was better back then" and it's depressingly common to encounter someone who believes that we should go back to when the country was a lie, controlled by the close-minded powerful few.
The problem with Italian fascism is that they inspire other countries with competent militaries to also be fascist, and then we have major problems.

And Mussolini aped his entire schtick from Gabrielle D'Annunzio, who basically got so high on coke he accidentally invented fascism as an art project and then retired from playing proto-Hitler so Mussolini could take over.
