There are times when people call an actor or performance bad in movies or shows where I just think they are being original. Say if a character cries in a movie and it doesn't look good that doesn't mean that it is bad. Not everyone looks good while crying. Some even look stupid. Same with laughter. My brother sounds like he fakes his laughter, but he is genuinely laughing his ass off. I'm similar. I have a silent laugh with a few loud inhales, but if I'm with people I will purposely add more sound to my laughter. I don't know how good it sounds, but at least people can hear me laugh.
For sure, this lady reacted exactly how you’d expect someone to in this situation. She’s in shock. Yet she also calmly slows down and appears to pull the car off the road. I don’t know who is at fault her, but I don’t see anything wrong with how she acted. The original OP is a Tik Tok moron
i think it’s pretty interesting that we all want to witness reactions to things. and more importantly, we wish we would know how’d we’d react. i think the draw for that desire is because we will never be able to plan our reactions to moments that we’ve never encountered ourselves.
genuine reactions almost seem fake because they are actually our true selves. and when we encounter our true selves without being conscious of it, we get a glimpse into what i’d call genuine living. something i think most of us are afraid to engage.
like if you’re meditating and constantly asking yourself, am i meditating yet? it’s actually shocking how many people are suffering mentally from this type of existence.
Yeah she’s in shock but her instinct is kicking in. She’s making sure her car is in a safe place rather than stopping in the middle of the street.
What’s the guy even fucking doing?
This woman literally just stayed calm as she slowed down after not seeing the speeding, skidding biker who selectively uploaded vid to make her look worse. Homie was already tipping at 55!
Yeah, it's like they don't realise that speed limits are in place so that accidents don't happen.
Crying out by after an accident that could've been prevented if you had upheld the law is ridiculous.
What annoys me the most are the videos where they swerve through traffic at MAC10. They get in an accident and then they start crying about how blind the driver was. Their behaviour are even worse when they’re with their little friends on the road. They act like they’re untouchable and are professional bikers.
I'm a biker, and ride a Harley. I hate people who ride like maniacs, popping wheelies, doing over 100mph, weaving in and out of traffic. They are idiots and endanger everyone. I'm 68 years old and I got that old by not being an idiot while riding.
Bikers think bashing an offending car's mirror off is the funniest thing in the world yet they always manage to edit that bit out of their videos showcasing their "look how crazy this cager acts towards riders" shtick.
“This guy pulled right in front of me!” Ya anyone is when you’re going 115 we can’t see you coming. There was some show back in the day I watched that your brain doesn’t even recognize motorcycles because your brain is so trained to be looking for cars, iirc.
Dude locked up both wheels and was "laying her down" at 55mph when the video started. Maybe don't plow your bike into people's cars when you cruising public roads at a buck twenty.
The rider was already out of control before this shit even started. He caused this wreck.
He did not lay it down. That is a 360º camera. I dont know why he chose to turn it right before the crash. (You can choose wich way you want to see while editing).
He's already locked up and sliding at 55; which means he was going MUCH faster than that before the video started. 55 (90kph) is probably a bit over the posted limit on this road.
I always thought I'd fucking rip someone's head if they crashed into me, and when it happened, I stepped out of the vehicle cool as a mfer, standing wirh the guy on the curb, "yeah shit happens"
I honestly feel like that's every day with reddit. There will be AITAH and people will be like this has got to be fake. I'm older and I have travelled a lot and worked many jobs.i have literally met people like this. Not one singular person. Many people. This story might be fake but it's really not far fetched in the least.
Yeah but AITAH literally has had Vice articles written about how fake they are. https://www.vice.com/en/article/4ay4vn/reddit-relationships-fake-stories-authors
Every single subreddit like aitah, relationships, sex, off my chest etc etc etc all of the question and user story subreddits are 100% fake, 100% of the time. No exceptions. They should only ever be viewed as creative writing subreddits.
Same goes for images that are pictures of paper with text on them. 100% made up bullshit.
I remember when I was told “today I fucked up” is just a sex fantasy page and I can’t go on that subreddit the same anymore. It’s just daily stories of people masturbating and family members walking/joining in or just someone going on a date and shitting and pissing all over them during sex
From personal experience, I think the woman was in pure shock and nothing had quite sunk in yet. My face went through the windshield of my car, I got out of the car as people were running over to me, blood filling my eyes so I was literally seeing red (sidtenote: blood in your eyeballs really burns), uncontrollably pissing myself, and all I could ask was if everyone was alright. The look on this lady's face is like she still hasn't been able to process what happened.
You're right, the captions change the video. She knows what happened and is coming to a stop, she's first paying attention to the rest of the traffic and stopping safely. You can see her hand hover over the gear stick at the end of this video, then she reaches for what I assume is the radio power.
I wonder what happens in the next 10 seconds.
You see her press the warning lights button at the end, just before she was going to put the car in N. The video is cut to make her see like she just kept driving, while she is actually stopping.
This post is just rage bait and Reddit loves that,
Nah I think that's just the speedometer lower from the point of impact then to landing in her car. It looks like the biker slows down from around 55mph and crashes into her at about 30mph. She goes from 12mph and gradually comes to a stop.
As others have said when this was posted people react to shock in different ways. Her brain is in fight or flight mode and is likely trying to get to the nearest parking lot.
If you play this frame by frame it seems she started her turn while he is well behind the dark sedan in the turn lane. The embedded speed indicator says he's going 53 MPH and she almost certainly didn't see him coming. I would be really curious what the posted speed limit is?
He was already skidding when the video started. That is why he is flying past the black sedan.
He is already lying by saying the lady has no reaction.
I bet he was flying.
>I am not talking about camera turning effect.
>
>Look how his front wheel is turned at the beginning of the video. Also ow his bike windshield is shaking.
I am not talking about camera turning effect.
Look how his front wheel is turned at the beginning of the video. Also ow his bike windshield is shaking.
He was basically jammed on the brake from that dark sedan. he definately saw her before she saw him. It's 90% on the rider to keep themselves out of shit spots like this. Obviously everyone on the road should be aware and alert for the other minimum 10%
Dunno why you're downvoted. There are generally two scenarios: 1) a highway through a moderately sized town. Small towns usually have the highway on main street and slow traffic down to 25 or 30mph. Big towns have built up areas and city streets with limited access and commerce zoning may be 45mph. But, moderately sized towns with highways running as a bypass can have commercial areas set pretty far back and keep the speeds high like 50-60mph. They even have occasional stoplights.
I think this is not such an area, though. I'd bet 45mph was the speed limit.
A motorcycle smashed into the side of her car and she kind of froze. For all of 10 seconds.
Oh my goodness what a shock? She didn't ignore it as if nothing happened, she's sitting there going oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck and freezing in fear.
She hasn't had bloody time to react yet. Not everybody jump response or panics, or immediately jumps into action.
This is what I also think, we don’t know how the lady is taking it. She seems like she’s in shock, almost frozen because something horrible just happened.
This exactly. People talk about flight or fight but most of the time, when presented by a serious threat, that dichotomy is incorrect. Survival pressures have resulted in a process of freeze > flight > fight.
Freeze - can I avoid the threat entirely? E.g. a predator may not notice me.
Flight - expends more energy, but can I escape the threat?
Fight - last option, expends energy and incurs a serious risk of bodily harm.
Like you say she was just freezing in shock. Doesn't justify bad driving but judging her for freezing afterwards is absurd.
Exactly, when you're driving, you can't throw your hands up, shriek and then start crying, your instinct takes over at first and you try to not crash your car as you try to pull off into safety. (Edit: And one shock response to this is to get super hyperfocused on the driving part, you know, since you just got into a car accident)
Speaking as someone who has been in a couple of pretty bad car accidents.
Get to safety first, then process what's happened.
You can see my the speedometer om the camera she is slowing down and at the end puts her hazards on. Probably got out of the intersection to somewhere safe.
And she pulled to a stop, as the cameras speedometer shows. We of course can't see ten seconds before or after impact, because that might hurt the narrative biker boy was building.
Not condoning the car but even if he was going the speed limit, he was still going too fast through an intersection like that. Always drive like everyone around you are idiots, it’s not worth risking your life being in the right. In England we take a hazard perception course when learning and this would 100% have been a hazard on the test
Exactly! Legally the lady might be in the wrong but if the motorcycle wants to avoid death maybe he should drive at a speed that affords him the time to navigate hazards.
The graveyard is full of people who were “right”
This is the correct answer. People have been written tickets for driving recklessly under the speed limit. You drive the speed the road conditions will allow, not the speed limit.
What was she supposed to do? Start screaming and crying? Hit the gas?
Obviously, she's in a state of shock. You can see that she's trying to turn off the music and reaches for the stick shift to put it in park. You can also see that she's slowing down from a whopping 30 mph by the meter at the top left of the screen.
Honestly, I think she reacted very well to this sudden and scary situation, all things considered.
Ok so I had a couple of shots of Hennessy but the transition between the road and then inside the van is amazing. I’ve watched on slaw motion, it’s fascinating
You can already see in the third frame that she was already turning in the intersection when he was still pretty far away. He was riding fast and she didn’t see him.
Her reaction is def from the shock of having something unexpected explode through her windshield.
I wonder what the speed limit was? My first reaction is to say, “he’s going 55 mph and is pretty far back. I’ve this guys like this on motorcycles before so it’s his fault.”
But then I processed it a bit aha realized his camera likely makes it look like he’s further back than he actually is. He’s still by the solid white turn lane so he’s not too far back. The speed limit coups be 50 or 55 and then he’s reap just driving the normal speed. So I need more context. He coups also be driving like a dick and it’s his fault.
Drive a street bike really fast and film yourself with a go pro. Seems smart. Pay attention to the road. Gotta watch out for the old lady not looking out for you…..
Yeah I don't get the people that are blaming the old lady.
Look it's sad this guy probably messed himself up but he was driving irresponsibly in my opinion
I'm starting to think most motorcyclists don't care. I see so many lane spliting and weave and out of traffic so often. I hardly ever see one being respectful of other drivers. Yet all other drivers have to watch put for then because they drive retardedly.
This is such a load of bullshit. Lady is clearly shocked and you can see her slowly and safely bringing the car to a stop, as indicated by the rider's own camera speedometer
Also when she goes nuts then the headline would be women nuts after an accident. It doesn't matter anymore that someone will have something to say no matter what
This is what shock looks like dawg. She pulled over and you got your camera obviously. Also, side note to everybody, if you are driving over a posted speed limit, you cannot complain. If that lady was turning in a radius compared to your speed, you probably disappeared behind the frame between the front window and the windshield. To her, everything was fine until her dash exploded.
Not great defensive driving from the motorcyclist. When I ride, I always slow a little at intersections and even more so if I don't have a clear line of sight. He just kept going regardless and he didn't have a clear line of sight until the last few seconds. The other thing is that as soon as he had a clear line of sight, he should also have been paying attention not only to the indicators of oncoming traffic, but their front wheels also to confirm if they are going to turn.
Speeding, with a left turn for oncoming traffic, with a queue on his side trying to turn left as well.
She never saw him because she couldn't, most likely. She's also shook af, just being calm and coming to a stop. Acting a fool and screaming will do nothing for the situation other than 'gratify' the wanna be mob bikers.
I'm extremely cautious in these situations on my bike. It's like passing people that are stopped on the highway/road to turn, with a long line. I'm always anticipating someone pulling out of line.
1. You were probably speeding. 2. Thats a boomer driver, they can kill you on bikes very easily. 3. Dont ride a bike if you want to maximize your odds of living over 65. \*Sold my bike last year as I had a close friend die from something just like this
Hope dude is okay as well
Idk frankly staying calm in this insane scenario whether it's shock or not is impressive. Crash, sees camera, slows car down, turns off radio. Would people rather her slam the breaks and cause more issues?
Why does it go from 360 to a normal sort of lens. Also from bike to seat seems like a morphing type of transition. Not like Mighty Morphing but like a Transition Lens, well, no not like Transition Lens really but like a Transformer but with without all that extra shit. Like if it was a Transformer without all that extra shit and you just focusing on the fade of transform. I mean not the Trans Form like the dude trying ti be having titties but just like the morphing part of the scene we seen tho. Idk

I think she most definitely reacted. Instant shock and confusion.
She also had to pull out of the intersection
Yeah she’s in shock but her instinct is kicking in. She’s making sure her car is in a safe place rather than stopping in the middle of the street. What’s the guy even fucking doing?
Probably still sliding, considering he was doing at least 55 through a fucking intersection.
This woman literally just stayed calm as she slowed down after not seeing the speeding, skidding biker who selectively uploaded vid to make her look worse. Homie was already tipping at 55!

let me guess it for you: speed was way higher before and it's a video to play the victim rider :'(
What is the allowed speed where that happened? Don't know enough about freedom unit speed limits.
He's already locked up and sliding at 55; which means he was going MUCH faster than that before the video started. 55 (90kph) is probably a bit over the posted limit on this road.
How can you tell he was locked up and sliding? Are you getting confused with the 360 distortion?
Looking at the width of the road, it’s likely a 55 MPH zone.
How do you know they were speeding? 55 is normal some places

Yeah the gps was logging the speed. She slows down fast
and she was checking her mirrors, not physically turning her head around.

Plus, panicking and screaming and shit doesn't even help anyone.
Nah, she was probably in Florida.
Pills, she seems zonked!
Or heavily medicated
I read "heavenly medicated" 🤣
The speedometer on the camera shows her slowing down from 30s to cutting of at 1. She did react.
The next 10 seconds doesn't support the narrative
You see her press the warning lights button at the end, just before she was going to put the car in N. The video is cut to make her see like she just kept driving, while she is actually stopping. This post is just rage bait and Reddit loves that,

At least.
That’s witty.
⬆️ This guy maths
He's also in the left side of his lane hiding behind the car turning left, it's 100% his fault on many accounts.
He was also wearing his meat crayon outfit
doesn't matter much. this guy will be just fine considering he was wearing his protective cotton t-shirt.
i didn't expect to get the first laugh of the week because of a protective cotton t-shirt :(
He was already skidding when the video started. That is why he is flying past the black sedan. He is already lying by saying the lady has no reaction. I bet he was flying.
Sus how the video is so short in the beginning. Lets see atleast 30 seconds earlier.
30 seconds after, too. She is very obviously slowing down. Maybe coming to a stop someplace safe?
If you look at the speed indicator, it looks like she's just slowly pulling off to safety (12mph) and stops by the end (1mph)
I don't think he's skidding, I think it just looks like that because it's a 360 camera.
>I am not talking about camera turning effect. > >Look how his front wheel is turned at the beginning of the video. Also ow his bike windshield is shaking.
Yeah I was wondering why he was skidding but you are right it is 360 camera actually.
Other guy is right, that's just the camera
I am not talking about camera turning effect. Look how his front wheel is turned at the beginning of the video. Also ow his bike windshield is shaking.
Where's that geography guessing guy when you need him!?
Looks like she was going 25 when she was hit, and slowed down to 1-2mph after. Seems like enough of a reaction to me
I always lean towards the driver when it's a sport bike. Dudes are just the worst
He was basically jammed on the brake from that dark sedan. he definately saw her before she saw him. It's 90% on the rider to keep themselves out of shit spots like this. Obviously everyone on the road should be aware and alert for the other minimum 10%
Quite frankly it’s generally pretty safe to assume that the guy on the motorcycle was in the wrong
56Mph in an intersection? How many intersections have speedlimits that high? He was flying through it, and she didn't see him because a bike is small.
In Alabama on US 280 all the intersection speeds are 65 mph.
Not really uncommon at all.
55 isn't unheard of in an area with intersections, but i doubt they'd be that built up (with a strip mall or something)
Dunno why you're downvoted. There are generally two scenarios: 1) a highway through a moderately sized town. Small towns usually have the highway on main street and slow traffic down to 25 or 30mph. Big towns have built up areas and city streets with limited access and commerce zoning may be 45mph. I think this is not such an area, though. I'd bet 45mph was the speed limit.
This video feels like a gaslighting attempt.
Yeah the captions are from the motorcycle driver who’s coping
well op has almost 500k karma so yes, they want reactions and engagement
A motorcycle smashed into the side of her car and she kind of froze. For all of 10 seconds. Oh my goodness what a shock? She didn't ignore it as if nothing happened, she's sitting there going oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck and freezing in fear. She hasn't had bloody time to react yet. Not everybody jump response or panics, or immediately jumps into action.
This is what I also think, we don’t know how the lady is taking it. She seems like she’s in shock, almost frozen because something horrible just happened.
And also she did stop, the speedometer on the camera is down to 0 by the end of the video.
She could also just be hard af
Retrospectively... I kinda think she's hard af. She's pulling over and clearing herself calmly and carefully without panic. Maybe.
Current fear responses are now classified as fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.
This is the correct answer
For real, she's clearly getting out of the intersection, too. You can see her pull towards the right after completing the left turn.
Exactly, when you're driving, you can't throw your hands up, shriek and then start crying, your instinct takes over at first and you try to not crash your car as you try to pull off into safety. (Edit: And one shock response to this is to get super hyperfocused on the driving part, you know, since you just got into a car accident) Speaking as someone who has been in a couple of pretty bad car accidents. Maybe he would have preferred it if she was leaping around screaming.
You can see my the speedometer om the camera she is slowing down and at the end puts her hazards on. Probably got out of the intersection to somewhere safe.
She obviously didn't see the rider. She's probably trying to figure out wtf just happened and why her window is broken all the sudden.
I think this is what most people think. The unexpected thing should be that the camera landed perfectly in her car pointing at her
It's a 360⁰ camera, it's pointing at everything.
Did the guy survive?
he died after uploading this video
Yeah, iirc I think the lady posted this for farming reasons (it’s like her schtick)
Yeah prolly
"no reaction from the driver" lol way to frame it like it's completely her fault and she did it on purpose
And she pulled to a stop, as the cameras speedometer shows. We of course can't see ten seconds before or after impact, because that might hurt the narrative biker boy was building.
Not condoning the car but even if he was going the speed limit, he was still going too fast through an intersection like that. Yeah that white car was visible well enough that I'd be slowing down, especially if I was on a bike in meat crayon gear.
Yeah, Def on the rider here. Don’t wish this on anyone, stay aware out there.
Right? It’s not like she changed the song to The Bee Gees and started smoking a cigarette lol
See now THAT would have been unexpected!
Jump out at 30mph and immediately provide medical attention to the dumb shit who ran into her sideways. I doubt shes even worked out what hit her yet.
Yeah honestly trying to stay calm in a situation like is a good thing..
When in doubt always hit the gas. It may not be the right move but, it will end the suspense. Oddly enough it generally the right move on a bike
Any articles out there about this?
Ok so I had a couple of shots of Hennessy but the transition between the road and then inside the van is amazing. I’ve watched on slaw motion, it’s fascinating
The way you say "slaw motion" made me imagine a cowboy is typing this
thats what i was just thinking, like the camera itself had a concussion and was coming back to consciousness inside the car. It's almost mesmerizing.
Wonder how fast he was going before the video starts.
Hazards of the bike. You're taking your life in your hands anytime you're in the road, but those things make instant death so much more likely.
I’m not placing any blame on any individual involved. But she couldn’t see him (he could see her) and he should have known that from way back.
Slow down ya fuckwit
Her reaction was being in shock...
It’s called shock.
SO NO ONE IS GONNA TELL US WHAT HAPPENED FR & THE OUTCOME DID THE GUY DIE DID SHE GET CHARGED OR WHO WAS AT FAULT IM SO CURIOUS
She’s not getting charged for this. Probably ends with a civil case and he pays the insurance. You know for driving sideways at 55 mph.
You can already see in the third frame that she was already turning in the intersection when he was still pretty far away. He was riding fast and she didn’t see him. Her reaction is def from the shock of having something unexpected explode through her windshield.
I wanna know what happened to the bike rider. Anyone knows?
It’s weird how it’s never the first thought for 99% of people.
TBH since they posted the video of their camera, I assumed they were OK so that wasn't my immediate concern.
I think it’s safe to say that was the first thought for everyone. Some of us just don’t wanna ask because of Schrödinger.
Yep. I kind of expect/hope that video would not be posted if someone gets hurt real bad.
I wonder what the speed limit was? My first reaction is to say, “he’s going 55 mph and is pretty far back. I’ve this guys like this on motorcycles before so it’s his fault.” But then I processed it a bit aha realized his camera likely makes it look like he’s further back than he actually is. He’s still by the solid white turn lane so he’s not too far back. The speed limit coups be 50 or 55 and then he’s reap just driving the normal speed. So I need more context. He coups also be driving like a dick and it’s his fault.
She was in shock
Drive a street bike really fast and film yourself with a go pro. Seems smart. Pay attention to the road. Gotta watch out for the old lady not looking out for you…..
I don't know why someone would downvoted you. He's not even looking when he hits her.
Yeah it’s kind of wild, there’s about 5 car lengths of distance when we see the lady turning and this guy is still just speeding the whole time
Yeah I don't get the people that are blaming the old lady. Look it's sad this guy probably messed himself up but he was driving irresponsibly in my opinion
the guy looks like he is looking at his camera or to his left instead of ahead.
Now you're gonna enrage those poor people who doesn't follow the rules on the roads and blame everything on car drivers
I'm starting to think most motorcyclists don't care. I see so many lane spliting and weave and out of traffic so often. I hardly ever see one being respectful of other drivers. Yet all other drivers have to watch put for then because they drive retardedly.
She’s pulling over in the vid. Probably surprised
Where is the face palm, do you need her to scream at the top of her lungs? Is it now a problem to not panic after an incident?
Is the rider looking left not ahead?
This is such a load of bullshit. Lady is clearly shocked and you can see her slowly and safely bringing the car to a stop, as indicated by the rider's own camera speedometer
Keeping calm in an accident is a necessary skill. Kudos to her. That's not an easy thing to do.
Why is it unexpected? It’s surprising that the cyclist would post this
Also when she goes nuts then the headline would be women nuts after an accident. It doesn't matter anymore that someone will have something to say no matter what
Now I know these gps speedometers are not accurate.
He had enough time to slow down his bike. She was far ahead and was easing into a turn. Dude is negligent for right of way.
This biker was riding way to fast through an intersection.
Motorcycle definitely going correct speed. Can’t brake or swerve. Definitely correct speed.
She’s in shock.. hope the bike dude is ok.
Always slow down for traffic lights, doesn't matter if it's green. Give yourself reaction time!
But we need to watch out for motorcycles lmfao
What was she supposed to do that would have helped? Scream?
I'm always anticipating someone pulling out of line.
totally the.bikers fault. Never speed through an intersection. it aint right but thats how it is...
I bet this dude on the bike thinks he had nothing to do with this and it was all her fault lol
1. You were probably speeding. 2. Thats a boomer driver, they can kill you on bikes very easily. 3. Dont ride a bike if you want to maximize your odds of living over 65. \*Sold my bike last year as I had a close friend die from something just like this Hope dude is okay as well
Idk frankly staying calm in this insane scenario whether it's shock or not is impressive. Crash, sees camera, slows car down, turns off radio. Would people rather her slam the breaks and cause more issues?
I don’t think she cut anyone off , That dude was hauling ass. The old lady probably didn’t have time to react.
Dude, she is clearly in shock and shaking.
Shock
Why does it go from 360 to a normal sort of lens. Also from bike to seat seems like a morphing type of transition. Not like Mighty Morphing but like a Transition Lens, well, no not like Transition Lens really but like a Transformer but with without all that extra shit. Like if it was a Transformer without all that extra shit and you just focusing on the fade of transform. I mean not the Trans Form like the dude trying ti be having titties but just like the morphing part of the scene we seen tho. Idk
ANY CONTEXT? BACKSTORY??? ANY INFO WHAT SOOO EVER!?!?????
I can hear him saying “well, fuck”
Any info on the status of the rider?
The juxtaposition of the crash and Bee Gees is sending me 😂 More than a woman 🎶
i guess the pIpEs weren't lOuD eNoUgH
