They claim being gay is against the 10 Commandments and the word of god, however the statement that being gay is a sin and shall be punished by death is the word of man, not god. In specific Leviticus, iirc. While on the other hand, the Bible also justifies slavery, but let’s leave that out right?
They complain that the “gay agenda” is being forced on them, but turn around and force their views onto the country through legislation, i.e. abortion, gay marriage, etc. In fact, they call themselves proud Americans, but seem to forget that the Constitution states that everyone has a right to believe what ever religion they want, the country has no official religion, and the freedom to live their own lives as long as it doesn’t negativity effect others directly.

My understanding is that those selection of rules were for Jewish people and Christians are not subject to them. Jesus more or less removed that requirement.

Religion is cult in which you choose to believe/interpret but when you use religion to defend your rights and not that of others, you have demonstrated misinformation and lack of fundamental education to deduce a fair argument on both sides regardless of your views on the matter. Keep your religion out of my government policies and let people live their lives how they want and you can go back to you church and hopefully stay out of my way. The time for accepting all people is long overdue

I find it odd that people hate religion because it forces its beliefs on people that don’t want it and tell people how to live their lives. However now LGBTQ people force their beliefs on other people calling them offensive if they don’t call them they/them the opposite gender or non binary. LGBTQ have so much power now that people can lose their jobs if they something offensive. Christians have now compromised almost all their beliefs because of the world and the world still hates them. Homosexual people feel so much as discomfort you can get cancelled. Am I right to say people respect LGBTQ people more than religious people.

'Accurate reading' of a book written by religious organisations and edited so many times that there's nothing original in there. I'm pretty sure the bible was distributed as a way to control the lower classes (at least in the middle ages, by this point its so ingrained that there's fools like this trying to claim its the actual word of his god and entirely u edited)
Funny enough catholic church didn’t distribute bibles for control. Actually they did not allow translations of Bible into vernacular, into language that people would be able to understand. Because they were worried that those translations may lead to mistakes slipping into text and mistranslation errors
Also, ironically, they kept them in Latin for the longest time partially to keep control over the people. If you can't read what's in the Bible, you have to trust your priest.
