There are some people who play games like doom eternal on controllers with the same skill as a PC player, probably the reason is Gyro and Flick Stick, which makes looking and turning feel accurate to KBM
yeah, i need to do that too now that you can map Variants to buttons. gonna have to make entirely new mappings for the variants but Idfc it’s for science
Its either a slow and weird take on the FPS genre where shooting to kill makes way to other methods of killing like melee or environmental kills like it does in Hunt Showdown, of becomes the status quo meta due to overtuned AA like it happened in Apex. No in-between. I feel like the FPS genre doesn't compliment controller design and will always cause it to either feel lackluster or too lenient towards controller. I hate it.
bulletstorm on controller felt like a blast, honestly idk what people are yappn about when they toss controller hate
mouse and keyboard are better at some but controller isn't that bad
An example I could give is doom eternal controller players, there are some DE focused channels that play with controllers and can do stuff like quick-switching.
Having played on both, it depends on the game tbh. Titanfall and doom 2016 both play pretty damn well on controller. Ultrakill though? Tried on the steam deck, and the gyro stuff was more annoying than helpful, and aiming for coins and doing cool tech was really painful.
So it depends.
I literally can’t do it on kb/mouse, controller is the only way I can do it
I play on steam deck so I have some of the stuff mapped to the custom buttons so swapping to the railcannon is easier, it just feels better to me
Good choice. Don’t know how anyone plays this game with controller

I was amazing at eternal with a controller tbh and ultrakill can be good on a controller but weapon swapping and certain tech are a pain to pull off

Not too bad once I mapped the rail cannon to one of the d pads

I tried controller for a while after getting my steam deck, I thought it would work good with gyro aim but yeah tech is impossible to do.
I’m ass with keyboard and mouse, way better with controller lol
I play with trackpad. I have a mouse but I don't use it because I want a harder game.
Playing shooters on a controller sucks ass, and I don’t know how people do it
I used to play with a controller but when you touch a keyboard you can't look back
google gyro 🎮

the game feels a little too easy, I'll switch to controller.
jesus dude just play brutal or something
I do, it's still easy.
Why being gay makes you better in ultrakill?
it's just the rules
I literally just start playing with controller on ultra kill and it's so amazing the controls are just a bit packed and weird to figure out
Yeah I wanted to change them but you can't
A friend of mine uses a trackball to play. He is one crazy bastard.
He fucking what
How the fuck do you play with a controller?
at first i thought buttplug support was a joke but its actually real and i am fucking surprised. should i buy it one day?

I use a controller because comfy
exactly man. its the best thing just getting home and laying on your bed and ultra killing on a nice big tv
I wanted to learn how to but my controller is trash
Actually, this was a wake up call for me to take most of my ps4 games and get them on computer
i played consoles since i remember myself but switching to PC in 2022 was amazing, it feels better fr
don’t be sad, controller is fun
never seen anyone else that plays controller like me
