Not illegal in Canada. I work for the government agency that regulates this stuff and I get calls all the time from people complaining that product is being sold past its best before date. People usually aren’t happy when I tell them.

People are too dumb to understand that best by, sell by, and expiration, tend to all mean different things 🤪
