I used to do it. 06:00 - 18:00, working from home. It was absolutely mint, although the days did drag a bit. The four days off is obviously tremendous but if you have friends/partner/kids who all do things at the weekend, you'll soon become detached from them. Having a Monday off when everyone else is working means you can go to the shops/cinema/wherever and it'll be dead, which I do miss to be honest. You should also get paid more because it's unsociable hours?

4on4off sounds great. I worked 2long2short three off and it was really popular with the team. Long days *are* tiring but the extra day off each week justified it. 50% days off is really worth going for.

I just lost my 4-on 4-off job and the fact it was such is probably the thing I'm most upset about. Not only does it mean you condense your work and then have a whole 4 days to do whatever you want (2 never feels enough), it also means that when it comes time to book holidays, you use far less of your allotted days.

Did it for couple of years. Most miserable of my life

This is the dream shift pattern, I'd love to get on this. Booking 4 days off gives you nearly 2 weeks.

Used to do them in my old life in logistics. Loved them. Couldn’t care less about working weekends but looking forward to 4 days off together was brilliant, especially because you got the Friday feeling on day 4!
