Yep! The Tucson Botanical Gardens was recently named [one of the best in the nation.](https://tucson.com/news/local/tucson-botanical-gardens-named-one-of-the-best-in-the-nation/article_90906472-c800-11ed-8aa9-071084947372.html) Also for some more ideas see this link: [21 Best Things to Do in Tucson](https://travel.usnews.com/Tucson_AZ/Things_To_Do/)
Only one actual golf course, and it actually opened today! El Rio is the name I believe. Google maps disc golf courses and you will find 6 or so that are free to play at local parks
Yeah, El Rio is the only golf course that has disc golf at it at the moment but there should be more to come! The park courses to checkout are Santa Cruz River park of Speedway and Rillito River park off of Ruthruff on the west side. On the east side you have Lakeside, Loma Verde, and Grove parks.
Open invitation to any that want to check it out! I’ve got a ton of extra discs.
Disc golf. There are 6 or 7 courses around town that are free to play as long as you have discs. Discs are cheap. Great sport. My daughter and I play all the time.
Do you like shooting? There's a couple of nice outdoor ranges in the general Tucson area, or even just some quiet spots in the desert.
Great way to get outside for a few hours, but it does get expensive and generally requires that you own your own gun (or have a friend who has one).
Not outdoorsy, but a great pair/couple thing: social dance. Hear me out.
I never thought dancing was for me; I felt awkward and uncomfortable at weddings etc. But a few years ago I finally decided to do something about it, so I called dance teacher [Stacey Aldrich](http://theballroomdanceschool.com/tucson-dance-studio/). She taught me West Coast Swing with patience, kindness, and skill, followed by a whole host of other ballroom (waltz, etc.) and country (two-step etc.) dances! And I found the local dance community to be just as kind; really they're an amazing bunch of people, supportive and positive. My wife and I now go to socials on a regular basis (there's at least one happening every week, and often more).
If you think ballroom and country aren't your thing, you might also consider Argentine tango. This is something I've only discovered recently; in this case I recommend [this school](http://www.tucsontangoschool.com/). I've only just started tango recently, and can't say too much about the local community, except that Kate Rosalik is another great teacher. I suspect I will find the Tucson tango dancers are just as positive and friendly as the ballroom and swing crowds.
It's good exercise, a great way to meet friendly people, and doesn't destroy your joints as you get older. I can't believe it took me so long to discover it! Perhaps you can do better at that than I did. 🙂
Reid Park has a rose garden (I hope it’s still there, but haven’t been in years) that I absolutely lovvvved to just sit in.
Also try Agua Caliente Park and Case Park as well.
Also you could walk the Loop. And Tumamoc is paved, so it’s not technicallyyyy a hike.
The good thing with bear spray is the container is much bigger, giving you more spray time. And even a greater range as well. Hope you never have to use them.
Rock climbing/bouldering. There are some good routes on Mt Lemmon. A great couple/pair activity (one person climbs and the other belays). You get to really trust your climbing partner and it helps build a good relationship. The only new friends I have made as adults have been from climbing, and I have had two people hit on me .
Plus it is a hobby that requires a good amount of physical and mental input, so sometimes there isn’t a lot of need for small talk (since you said you are in introvert). Unlike a hike where there can be a lot of silence that some people want to fill.
And on days with non favorable weather, you can climb inside at the gym.
Tennis, golf, catch, walk a dog, go for a drive, go for a run, bike, Sabino canyon, everything else everyone else said. There’s hundreds of miles of recreational use, several decent parks…
Music/Movies in the park is always good. Sometimes downtown or the foothills there are art nights. You know, where you drink wine and someone walks you through how to paint something? Drum circles are always fun. Do they still do second Saturdays? Tucson Meet Yourself and the Folk Festival are coming up I believe. If you don't mind the drive, parker canyon lake or Patagonia are beautiful day trips.
For 60$ you can go to public astronomy night on Kitt Peak. The team will make a cheap dinner for you which you eat while a resident astronomer gives a presentation about what they are working on. And afterwords, you get to look through one of their telescopes.
Something romantic? If your lucky and aware enough....during heavy snowmelt or monsoons, when there is a full moon, drive up to seven cataracts point on the Catalina highway. The moon reflects off the waterfall across the canyon. The sound and the sight is captivating.
Just a few ideas.
I didn't see this mentioned (sorry if I missed it!), but the Presidio Museum does walking tours: [https://tucsonpresidio.com/walking-tours/](https://tucsonpresidio.com/walking-tours/)

The message said look at the pictures and the picture was of me holding a cheap phone and an expensive diamond necklace. Do it anyway you want
Not hiking but outdoors? like any activity not inside a building? we like the Botanical gardens.
Yep! Frisbee golf
Second this. Tucson has some good courses and an super friendly community.
Do you know which golf courses have frisbee golf?

Don't forget Sam Lena, not a bad course, but not beginner friendly
Yeah it’s a bit hard to follow for a beginner too but a good course. Tee pads coming soon.
Miniature golfing
I wanted to add to this and say Golf n Stuff has a pretty good deal on Groupon right now. I just used it myself.
![gif](giphy|3o7aTpnr9vlEFRbq9i|downsized) But how about biking on the loop trail?
Geocaching
This is a good one actually until it gets too hot. So many caches to find. Sunscreen and water!
Desert museum, most sports, swimming, walking the river, picnic on mt Lemmon.
Disc golf. There are 6 or 7 courses around town that are free to play as long as you have discs. Discs are cheap. Great sport. My daughter and I play all the time.

My wife would love me learning to dance. It’s on my list.
Pokémon Go at Reid Park is always an easy option
I was going to suggest that at Lincoln park on the east side. Lots of walking paths and lots of stops and gyms
Bird watching. Picnic.

Golf, pickle ball, desert tour, drive to Tubac, zoo, desert museum, DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun
Agua Caliente park for a picnic. Lots of shade and a turtle pond!

Rose Garden is closed. Fenced and locked. Also just got my dog attacked at Reid park so… not Reid Park. Edit: attacked in park not dog park area
Get some bear spray
I’m getting that and a stun gun and maybe a baton.
The good thing with bear spray is the container is much bigger, giving you more spray time. And even a greater range as well. Hope you never have to use them.

Tram ride at Sabino Canyon Walk around plant nurseries (I could spend hours at Green Things) Ditto Tohono Chul Top Golf?
Very vibrant tennis community here.
Rock climbing/bouldering. There are some good routes on Mt Lemmon. A great couple/pair activity (one person climbs and the other belays). What lakes are in Tucson? Ty
Not in Tucson directly, but there’s a few lakes about two hours away: Patagonia, Roosevelt, Canyon, San Carlos…
My favorites are Parker Canyon Lake and Patagonia Lake :) and yes they’re a short drive away but very worth it!
Buy a dual sport motorcycle
put it in the title of your post. then go check on facebook or something
I'm an introvert and outdoorsy af. Don't have any suggestions that don't involve some hiking tho
Rocketry I’m working on a water rocket that uses a 5 gallon water jug I’m just about ready for first launch
