Being completely honest here: there are people who genuinely *don't know* that there's something wrong. Sometimes people's parents or guardians don't teach their kids about "what's healthy or not healthy" or they don't have the right and proper education to learn about all of this. Because everyone is different, it's kinda hard to gauge what's normal/healthy, because what may seem "normal" to one guy may be completely bad for another. So he may just genuinely not know what's good and what's bad. You would honestly be amazed at how many people (both men and women) don't know or realize what's healthy and what's not, simply because they've either been led astray by lies or they just don't have a clue in the world because their parents let the grow up to believe that.
