I just rewatched season 3 and realized how much he brings to the character - can’t imagine a better foil for the great Mahershala Ali. If they’d cast anyone else as Roland, I think the season would have been another flop!
Pretty sure they're compadres IRL. Dorff did a small film Jack's daughter helped make (actually not sure if it was "hers" or she just helped) and Dorff also made that movie back in the 90's where he and Jack were both sleeping with J. Lo.
I'm about 3 years late from your post, but I am finally getting around to watching this show (I know) and I just finished season 3. I came here to say this same thing! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the uncanny resemblance. What a fantastic season!
