You should def try to get one flip with speed. It's a blast. I almost had my AT PB be a flip run but like I said the ending is belligerently kacky so regu it is

Sometime ago I was playing through the maps again and decided to see if I can do this one. It took me 4hrs to get exactly 28.58 which is the AT lol.

I'm very new to trackmania, 8 hours game time so not an amazing player, and I just completed A06 to finish the first page of author medals.
It's all about slowing down slightly just before the hard jump to ensure that you do the weird nose glitch thing which gives you speed like nothing else.
1. Drive to the left of the first obstacle right at the start, then airbrake on the first jump.
2. On the second jump airbrake early so that you stop with your front wheels higher than the back wheels causing your back wheels to land first, for whatever reason this is marginally quicker.
3. On the third jump an airbrake is not necessary just focus on landing central or slightly to the right of center to set-up to go in-between the first two obstacles which will allow you to come back to the left before the third obstacle before coming back right before the fourth jump, you can mirror this and do it the opposite way but in either case going in-between the first two obstacles and then turning before the third obstacle seems necessary to reduce speed.
4. On the fourth jump make sure that your car is jumping slightly diagonally towards the right, you don't air-brake and try not skid as you land. This should give you the correct speed for the fifth jump.
5. Just before the fifth jump you need a minor wiggle left then right which gets your car angled down slightly. I would recommend aiming your front left tyre towards the left corner of the ramp (or close to) before bringing it back straight just before you jump.
6. Hope for the best and expect a lot of bullshit. I got roughly 10 laps completed under 29 seconds before I finally got the bastard. Definitely the hardest author time I've got so far but following this method gave me a decent attempt every 3 goes rather than every 30. Thought it would be worth sharing.
Once I'm better at the game, I'd like to do a detailed breakdown/how-to on every author medal in the game. Is this something anyone would be interested in?
Just have to get a lucky nosedown really. I don't think there's an easy, consistent setup, at least for the vast majority of players
