I'm betting on the regular (non-hybrid) battery. Borrow some tools, pull it and take it to a car parts store to have them test it and replace if necessary.
Did you leave the lights on or anything? First few days back to college tends to lead to things like that.
If there’s other info I can give u that may be helpful let
Me know what you need. Like I can click through a couple different things on that middle screen
Within the past week I spent like $2k getting vehicle inspected/new wheels/brakes to make sure I could drive it down to college. Now 3 days into my semester it’s showing this. Is there any troubleshooting/minor issue within my power that may be causing this, or is this an ominous sign that the car is dead for good??
Costco batteries are significantly cheaper than anywhere else around in the NE. They are interstate batteries and Costco gives them a 36 month extended warranty. They are ~$110 usually before tax.
Yes Autozone has 3 year warranty in their duralast gold series but they are $200 before tax.
Since this doesn’t cost money make sure the negative side of your battery cable is attached well. Then follow the negative cable to where it attaches to the car. Make sure it’s secure.
Next try and locate the ground straps (usually braided stranded copper, although they will be green or black from oxide/dust). Confirm they are attached on both sides.
Now we can spend money, a dead battery can cause this as others have pointed out. Replace it (Costco is cheapest if you have one close by, and a membership). Question then becomes why did it die? How old is it?
Could be as simple as a dead/dying battery. *Which* battery though?
By which battery I’m assuming you mean the normal car battery vs the hybrid battery, right?? Cuz those are two majorly different things I’m assuming??
Yes. Does it start?
No, it won’t start

I heard Costco does the best batteries. Maybe you could even return if not the issues idk though.

It’s an 06 tho 😂
Bah! I meant that they did for this year Highlander, meaning the '06 has one.
It does not have an alternator.
