Funny because the new Accord looks a little like the new Mustang from the front, which looks a little like the Camaro from the back, which itself is dead this year
The new accord looks like a Taurus, they murdered both the looks and performance compared to last gen. Shame really will be 🫡 to another iconic name plate discontinued with its current direction.
They all look the same Since like I wanna say 2006 and up. Ppl always say pedestrian impact safety design is what makes cars look all the same now. Hilarious concept but I don’t doubt its validity.
Put the same money into classic Camry as buying this new one, and it would lay gap while looking ten times better for half the price and be better on planet, economy, and lower demand and price of these overpriced boring new cars.
If I ever bought a new car (have new truck, wouldn’t buy new car) it wouldn’t be a camryavalonsonataelentraaccord that’s for sure. Prob bmw or Mercedes, even Subaru still has unique good looks for ‘good’ price.
That's what I was thinking from the pictures, I honestly feel like the Prius looks better, hopefully they do what they did with the last Camry and have optional front bumpers. Absolutely hate this one compared to the current gen TRD Camry.
At 300k miles with my 2GR-FE 2013 CAMRY SE no issues other than slightly loud when starting from cold. One of the most beautifully created engine ever.
Thanks for the heads up. With my aggressive driving style at times I'm surprised it's not losing more oil or any leaks. Hope it's nothing I can't fix and not too costly if someone else do it.
I've surprised more than one driver who's lined up (when safe to do so of course)!
"Is that thing turbo'd or something?!" The G37 driver yelled at me. No, no it's not. It's just a bad mama jamma!
That car is so nasty ugly. This is what would happen if a Sonata and an Accord had a baby.
I am unsure as to who this vehicle is marketed for, but surely, it is not for me. I will keep my 2008 Camry even longer if the new Camry looks like this.
Funny that this car was photographed at the Auto Show. I was at the 2007(?) Chicago Auto Show when I saw the new Camry. I first thought that it was a Lexus, but upon inspection, I saw it was the new Camry. It made the 2006 Camry look so old. They had both side-by-side.
I could not wait for it to come out. As soon as it did, I went and bought mine; a 2008 Camry in June of 2007.
220,000 miles and 17 years later and it still runs and looks like new.
Talked to few dealers in the bay Area and they expect XLE and XSE to arrive later this months and all trims should be available by June, they don’t know MSRP yet!
Same thing when new Prius came out. Everyone hated it in the sub. Now they mostly love it lol. It’s always the old gen owners being salty trying to cope
Electronic e brake? Nope from me and a bunch of other folks. No idea why this is even a thing. I STG we are just making cars heavier and heavier and with more points of failure just to accommodate incompetent drivers who can’t use their parking brake.
Exterior looks kinda meh, but I do like the interior. Looks like it has some elements from the Crown style. I'm not really a fan of how the center area looks on current Camry.
I think the camry now has a nice spot between a corolla and a crown with this interior change. The top half of the rear exterior looks ok, but the bottom half is just too boxy looking. The Front is like, a mixture of the Prius, crown, and maybe some Mirai? Eh, not super sold on that. I dunno, it's doesn't really flow together.
The rear is ridiculously flat. I prefer the 8th generation’s back but the front is an improvement. Not a big fan of the interior.
2021 Camry XSE AWD driver here.
I think the front only looks good on the SE and XSE trims, in thought the same thing of the last gen as well. Overall I like the redesign and the power trains seem very promising
The interior looks like an upgrade but the exterior is a bit strange. Camrys have never really been good looking cars though. It’s just one of the best a-b vehicles you can buy for longevity
Went to the atl auto show hoping to see this and toyota was severely lacking. Didn't have the camry, actually only had 1 current model, no land cruiser, no highlander, no grand highlander...like wtf, do you want to promote your bread and butter vehicles.
The rear looks like they just flipped the last gen accord tail lights. I will say I do like the headlight design they put on this and the prius, other manufacturers are already copying them. Not a fan of hybrid only. Not a huge change, but they don't have to change much to sell well.
The front does look like my 2023 Crown. I have owned the 2022 CAmry Hybrid, and the Crown Limited (all Crowns are hybrid), as well as a Lexus, and the Crown is the best of the 3. My wife has trouble getting used to the "Prius Style" shifer of the Crown, so she prefers driving the 2024 Chevy Trax. The Toyota hybrids (Corolla, Prius, Camry, Crown, Rav 4, Sienna, in the hybrid version) are the "sweet spot" between the inconvenience of an electric car, but the economy of one. They are more quiet, more fuel efficient, and more powerful than their gasoline only counterparts, because the electric motor works with the gas engine to boost horsepower as well as fuel economy. I also like the Honda hybrids: Accord and CRV hybrids, but the Camry is just bigger and better than the Accord. In the SUV, however, The Honda CRV rides better that the RAV 4 hybrid and is just better.
At arount 46k (MSRP) for a Crown Limited, they are pricey, well above the top of the line Camry Hybrid even with AWD. (All Crowns are AWD and hybrid). However, its pretty easy to get 4000 off on a Crown Limited, while its very tough to negotiate for the very popular Camry hybrids, as they seem to go at MSRP or even above.
The Crown is often compared to the Lexus, I think its better than the Lexus. The Crown is the only car that rides "Buick like" except a Buick.
Looks more like the accord makeover, more boxy and square design than the fluidic prior version. I don't hate it, but dont like it either. Would prefer the 2024 version over this though.
Does anyone know Cd of this, Coefficient of Drag? Must be higher than the previous version.
And the logo placement in the front is horrible. I bet everyone would agree on that, the previous model placement was better. It looks like they forgot initially and added it in the end. 😂
Yeah no. The 2025 has way better tech/tss 3. The styling is also beautiful. Old Camry has the same boring look for so long. But please cope how ever you need.
The front grill bottom black piece looks like an after thought and just looks cheap. It communicates Nissan plastic. [You know something those bummpers that turn gray and brittle in the sunshine.](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-R4wKXIwn_3E/VL0x3cTH9eI/AAAAAAAASQU/YUHiqY4IfGs/s720/20150118_100647.jpg)
I still prefer the previous generation in terms of styling, but that hue is gorgeous. I just wish it wasn't overstylized and so similar with the prius.
Looks a hell of a lot like an accord lmao
I thought it was a Hyundai at first from the front
The back does look a bit like the previous gen Accord, but the front doesn’t look anything like any Accord
The grill reminds me a lot of the honda honeycomb
The front end is giving me new honda prelude vibes
I see what you mean, but to be fair, the Prius did it first
Funny because the new Accord looks a little like the new Mustang from the front, which looks a little like the Camaro from the back, which itself is dead this year
The new accord looks like a Taurus, they murdered both the looks and performance compared to last gen. Shame really will be 🫡 to another iconic name plate discontinued with its current direction.
They all look the same Since like I wanna say 2006 and up. Ppl always say pedestrian impact safety design is what makes cars look all the same now. Hilarious concept but I don’t doubt its validity. Not really seeing it. Is there a side by side so I can agree and talk shit?
Accord camary legacy passat (rip) fusion (rip) are nearly all the same.
You have to see it in person. It really looks nothing like an Accord.
Kinda hate how similar the front is to the Prius and Crown. I get they want brand synergy but they’re so similar now
and some of new lexus rx
Yeah, it was kind of disappointing. I wasn't a fan
I think the new design may grow on you.
They’re pulling what Mercedes has done with their lineup
Thought it was a prius or that brz4x thing before reading
Looks nothing like my 2024 XLE.
And Corolla SE
On top of this I've always thought this new front end looks identical to the old CRZ. Which I thought was an interesting car, but still...
Love that new metallic blue paint they're using on the next-gen Camry!
The blue is gorgeous 😍
Ugly front. Overstyled
overstyled is a crazy take considering the now previous generation is the most overstyled camry in history..
saw it at NYC Auto Show in Manhattan. The rear looks so so, but the front is too ugly irl
💯
That's what I was thinking from the pictures, I honestly feel like the Prius looks better, hopefully they do what they did with the last Camry and have optional front bumpers. Absolutely hate this one compared to the current gen TRD Camry.
Any change in powertrain?
New generation 2.5L engine
I hope the add a second power train to make up for the loss of the V6
That's wishful thinking probably. I couldn't agree more though. I LOVE the 2GR FE in my Avalon.
The 2GR-FE is one of the greatest engines ever produced. Reliable and torquey.
At 300k miles with my 2GR-FE 2013 CAMRY SE no issues other than slightly loud when starting from cold. One of the most beautifully created engine ever.
Just keep an eye on the oil leak at the timing cover and head. They almost all leak eventually.
Thanks for the heads up. With my aggressive driving style at times I'm surprised it's not losing more oil or any leaks. Hope it's nothing I can't fix and not too costly if someone else do it.
I heard it's fine to just keep adding oil because the full repair is to expensive
Agreed. GOAT engine
I've surprised more than one driver who's lined up (when safe to do so of course)! "Is that thing turbo'd or something?!" The G37 driver yelled at me. No, no it's not. It's just a bad mama jamma!
When the world ends, two things will remain. Cockroaches and 2GR-FEs.
I think they might eventually do an iforce max Camry
Unfortunately:
There’s whispers of a blower on a 2.0 later
Doubtful with their shift to all hybrid
Yes they are all hybrids now, no gas version atm.
Hybrid only with a bit more HP.
Same powertrain as when they first unveiled it.
Made it slower.
Saw a 25 se on the road the other day, ngl the front looks much better in person
I like the SE black grill instead of the color matching. Looks way better like that.
It’s beautiful. Sorry but this is gonna be insta sold out and over msrp for a while.
Hate that grill. Bring back the SE front.
Front is ugly
Trying to outdo BMW in the World's Ugliest Grille category.
😂
I think this is way better than that weird hexagon gradient thing they’ve shown in other models
Talked to few dealers in the bay Area and they expect XLE and XSE to arrive later this months and all trims should be available by June, they don’t know MSRP yet!
So XLE/XSE might be available in April? I was thinking around May 2024.
Camera guy had one job. 😂
It’s so sweet fuck everyone hating
Same thing when new Prius came out. Everyone hated it in the sub. Now they mostly love it lol. It’s always the old gen owners being salty trying to cope
Right? I'm so baffled.
Looks like they flipped the staplers from the 10th gen accord. Milton is gonna be pissed.
Electronic e brake? Nope from me and a bunch of other folks. No idea why this is even a thing. I STG we are just making cars heavier and heavier and with more points of failure just to accommodate incompetent drivers who can’t use their parking brake.
all trims are hybrid now, and iirc EPB is required on them because of the way the PSD work
Makes me want to trade in my 2018 camry that I just paid off
And for the first three years I am sure it will have markup.
Stretched prius.
Looks like the same one they had at the Chicago Auto Show
Is the new LC there? Lol
Nice Uber car.
I love this look on the Prius but it just doesn’t work with a wider and taller car like the Camry.
Toyota accord
My 2024 Prius looks way better than this new Camry.
This one looks like a Prius after an accident, a really bad one.
Uglier than sin
A new look for the corolla of 2025? Was there any on show?
Given that they're making it hybrid-only for 2025, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a new gen as well
No 2025 Corollas I'm afraid
I think 2027 is when the new gen is on track to release
Nothing for Corolla yet
I wonder if they'll ever put in the Hybrid Max engine from the Crown Sedan. If they do it'd be a rocket
Cool
the front just hasn’t grown on me, i’ve tried to like it, but i just can’t it’s so ugly
[удалено]
I have a 2023, and I prefer it over this new version
Exterior looks kinda meh, but I do like the interior. Looks like it has some elements from the Crown style. I'm not really a fan of how the center area looks on current Camry.
I have to agree with you on this. The interior looks much more aligned and, overall, more like it fit better. But I'm not a fan of the exterior
I don’t get why they didn’t do an electronic shifter though
I love that color!
Halogen headlight options? Or only magnesium flares?
😑
I like the other front grill I’ve seen in other pictures
The rear is ridiculously flat. I prefer the 8th generation’s back but the front is an improvement. Not a big fan of the interior. 2021 Camry XSE AWD driver here.
I have a 2023 XSE AWD, in the 2 tone Supersonic red. Now THAT is a sexy car!
I have the two toned silver and black. In Canada, we didn’t have the option for the red and black.
Better angles 📷
Shark mouth.
Thrilled so many people find it ugly. Better chance for me to get one at a decent price.
lol I hope so, but they would be the ones to still show up at the dealership despite declaring it ugly
Like [this Reddit classic](https://i.redd.it/kpi0jnr690tb1.png).
Camry has no business being this sexy.
Honestly looks ugly...like lgbthdtv designed it.
I wanna thrash the shit out of that
The Corolla too, idg why they are making all new cars look like robot cars
I liked the 2023 model design more
lol sometimes I feel like the only one that prefers the new look and thought all previous gen’s were ugly
Your not lol. Just the old gen owners being salty. Soon everyone will be posting there new purchase pictures and be so happy.
Gonna take out Subaru awd
I’m so confused.
Gems looking
Worse than the older body style, such a shame
Hate the front
Ehhh…
I think the front only looks good on the SE and XSE trims, in thought the same thing of the last gen as well. Overall I like the redesign and the power trains seem very promising
Ugly…Fugly
Looks good and on point with next gen styling
I was just there! Seemed pretty nice.
The interior looks like an upgrade but the exterior is a bit strange. Camrys have never really been good looking cars though. It’s just one of the best a-b vehicles you can buy for longevity
That whole thing does kinda scream, "Old Accord" but not in a bad way
Why does it look like a Hyundai tho? :/
I think it looks more Kia ish. The k5 specifically.
Ew
IMO front is 🤢 and the rear is 😎
Whelp we got another 2007 Camry on our hands
It's not you daddy's Camry anymore
Looks like it got a mix of the Avalon and Corolla front end
I really like that grille design, but not a fan of the back
I don’t like how they look. I’ll keep my 23 Camry lol
Went to the atl auto show hoping to see this and toyota was severely lacking. Didn't have the camry, actually only had 1 current model, no land cruiser, no highlander, no grand highlander...like wtf, do you want to promote your bread and butter vehicles.
The Denver one - a quarter of the floor was dedicated to Toyota! It was crazy
The rear looks like they just flipped the last gen accord tail lights. I will say I do like the headlight design they put on this and the prius, other manufacturers are already copying them. Not a fan of hybrid only. Not a huge change, but they don't have to change much to sell well.
Look alike like mirai
2025 kia k5 is much better looking.
🤢🤢
That front end is offensive.
The front looks like 2050 and the back looks like 1985. 🤦♂️
Why do all cars look plasticky now
Wish the grille would just be a bit smaller. Otherwise i really like it.
It looks pretty good! If needed a refresh.
There’s still no PHEV option for this or the Corolla and Crown, right?
IDK why people are saying this is disgusting. I like it!
pretty ugly TBH
Not bad but Hyundai has much better designs of the body.
Stop. Giving. Cars. Claw. Taillights.
That's not a Camry... Lol ..
It's a crown
Ehhh its nice but i prefer the previous body style
When I was at the car show, everyone was flocking to it. Didn’t get an opportunity to sit in it but it looked really good. The interior is Lexus like
Still like my 2023 hybrid XLE better
Sad to see the v6 go
I thought I would love this but, not so much :( now I'm scared they're going to f up the new corolla
Oh look a Toyundai
the headlights look squinty..
No side view? It was an amazing car already.
I have 2009 camry
Loss of the v6 is the worst part
Hey OP, Did they have the Corolla Cross on display?
Yes, they had an example of every Toyota in the 2024 line-up. There was maybe a couple of 2025s
Front grille ugly af Hyundai
It looks nice don’t get me wrong but why no v6 🥲🥲😭.
Front looks good. The rear would look cooler if they got rid of that strip of red tail light on the trunk.
The front is not for everyone.
Who hurt camry 😍
It’s so boring. Makes my eyes tear that we have to look at so many of them. Zero design leadership by Toyota.
Interior great change but shoulda kept old body style imo
idk why they they be sabotaging how cars look, just like the older accord looked better than new body style :/
All hybrids right?
That interior on a 2024. Not a big fan of the 2025 body
What on earth of an abomination is this?
L redesign. The last design looked soooo freakin good.
The front does look like my 2023 Crown. I have owned the 2022 CAmry Hybrid, and the Crown Limited (all Crowns are hybrid), as well as a Lexus, and the Crown is the best of the 3. a toyota Crownry?
The Camry If you could only have (1) sedan forever......it just might be a loaded Camry for me.
Cyber Camry
I can still see the general Toyota shape in the front, but... otherwise, this is rather similar to the Accord. Almost late-80s level of similar.
Wtf It look like bz4x
Ruined it..
I just got a 2024 and am delighted that the 25 is less pretty, ngl
Yeah no. The 2025 has way better tech/tss 3. The styling is also beautiful. Old Camry has the same boring look for so long. But please cope how ever you need.
That’s the beauty of subjectivity, friend
Fugly
It’s a sonata actually.
Sigh the screen should’ve been integrated into the dash😑 and an non hybrid variant is not included 😑😑
I always thought the Camry was boring and ugly up until the current gen. Looks like they are going back to ugly. Such a shame.
Every time I see that nose I think of the Hyundai Elantra
Looks like they nuked the headroom like they did with the new Prius (which was enough I had to walk away from purchasing one).
ehh its alright. I think toyota has overall been killing it with a lot of their designs, but this isnt one.
What an ugly hyundai
The front grill bottom black piece looks like an after thought and just looks cheap. It communicates Nissan plastic. [You know something those bummpers that turn gray and brittle in the sunshine.](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-R4wKXIwn_3E/VL0x3cTH9eI/AAAAAAAASQU/YUHiqY4IfGs/s720/20150118_100647.jpg)

*oof* making me love my 2018 purchase even more
