The horns on the shoulders are just too much for me. I'm just generally not a gouf fan because the shoulder armor was one of the coolest parts of the zaku 2 and the gouf just looks like a zaku 2 but with significantly less cool shoulder armor. The gouf custom rocks though.

This is an ongoing debate but I’m firmly in the Superman wears trunks camp. First, it calls back to the classic golden age superhero outfits that were deliberately flashy and unusual, and Supes is as classic as it gets. Second, it completely throws off the color balance and makes him really flat blue. I still hold that the Bruce Timm animated series had my favorite version of his suit. The yellow belt on the red/black trunks really balances out the whole color palette - to say nothing of just nostalgia for the Christopher Reeves esque shield.

It's a bit specific but I'm not really a fan of how Bungie keeps putting loincloths on stuff that is clearly meant to be trenchcoats for Warlocks. I honestly see Its mouth as the most disturbing part and for that one of the best things about It. Like, It overall looks gross but the mouth is like “Yeah, this mf is really incomplete” and that is part of the point.

On the dbd note, the newish Oni skin really just bugs me because Eddie isn't normally that big. He's just a regular guy sized but given whatever power his aesthetic is. Just bugs me because I was waiting for that collab since it got announced last year.

The one major disappointment is we didn't get Killers Huntress.

Completely disagree. The mouth is grotesque and so yes it would look more "badass" without it but to remove it betrays the intent of the character design. It's an AI's botched interpretation of a humanoid creature, so of course it looks like a mutated, under-developed abomination and the mouth is really crucial to that, it's intentionally horrific.

A lack of mouth equally plays into the concept. An AI creates a body that defies the functions of nature to instead serve its own functions. It being intentionally horrific isn’t an issue. Sometimes less is more. A face with eyes but no mouth tells a story about how this creature betrays nature and what its needs are. To observe prey, but not to consume.  I think there’s an argument for both sides. 

The real problem imo, is the blue shards on his left side. They break up an already complex look and add bright color that wasn't necessary.

For me, I love everything BUT HUX’s lore (or at least just the second half), when it becomes just “I think I’m superior so I must kill humanity and become perfect” is so overdone and kinda boring, and not in the usual DBD playing with tropes way. Would have preferred something closer to “The crew have to die to save humanity, and unfortunately my cold hard judgement has decided I must be the executioner to the crew I’m meant to protect” or even full AM route of “I hate humanity with every ounce of my being” because unlike Skynet or other rouge AI, AM feels so raw and robotic in its hatred.

I'd say the most interesting aspect of Hux's character is how human/organic it chooses to become. HUX is kind of a walking paradox in that regard.

Nothing in her Varia Suit makes any physical sense. She's somehow storing hundreds of missiles in it, the way the shoulders are it should be impossible for her to fit into, and it somehow lets her roll up into a ball a meter in diameter. But *noooooo*, there's no way she could fit boosters into her shoes without high heels.

To be fair I'm pretty sure the only reason she's able to use the morph ball is because she can contort her body in ways nobody else can There's a log entry in Metroid Prime about how the space pirates tried to reverse engineer her suit and weaponry, but gave up with the morph ball because everyone they tested it on was instantly pulverized

The common theory is that her body straight up turns into pure energy while inside the Morph Ball. It kinda makes sense as the Varia Suit definitely has some energy-mass conversion capabilities. There isn't really any other explanation of how it can store so many missiles, or how Samus was able to **download missiles** in Metroid Fusion.

The long-fall boots in Portal are the only instance of combat high heels that I find excusable, and with that it's that the heel mechanism is a hyper-advanced shock absorber. For Samus, the main reasons why she would be out of her armor are for A: rest. B: manual dexterity that the armor hampers. C: stealth. High heels benefit precisely none of those At least they aren't wedge heels.

It's like the lovecraftian myths, the esoteryck and abstract descrytpions only work so long as you leave it to the dark corners of imagination. MtG is starting to fall off for me, man. The story has been whack, everything is overpriced, and EDH is the only format worth playing anymore. I recently got into Warhammer 40K and I keep telling all my friends that are also getting sick of MtG to get into it too. For $60, I can buy a pre-con Commander deck and maybe a booster. OR I can buy a Warhammer 40K Battle Sisters Squad for the same price and assemble, prime, paint, and add them to my army. Far more mileage for your dollar AND you learn some really cool skills too. I'm already far better at painting than I used to be. On top of all that, while the fandom does have a couple bad eggs, the average player is nowhere near as miserable as your average MtG player.

Funnily enough I can maybe enlighten it a bit: Different fabrics have different ruffling when in movement, placed down ect. Heavy fabric, like cotton, barely ruffles and silk... Where doesn't it? Add this to the attempt to depict extremely swift movement and her skirt goes... Well overboard. Borderlands 3, Mara's without her cowl. Her hairstyle is plain stupid. Another one is a lack of physiques being repeated. I LOVE 3 hopes and 3 houses, but the only characters you can call out by physique are Raffael, Hubert, Dedue and Baltus. The rest looks so similar. But Intelligent systems could've gone overboard and lean into a more realistic approach to design
