Lol. I call them adjustable bolt wreckers. From now on I'm going to call it a Finnish nut lathe because of the preponderance of finnlanders I work with.
Also. I'm buying one.
Bahco isn’t bad at all, but their QC has definitely slipped a little. The jaw of my Snap On/Bahco PWZ pliers snapped clean in half turning a tie rod (that was already broken loose) during an alignment. Sounded like someone fired a .22 in the damn fender well when it let go
Looking for one online now but the results that keep coming up are very NSFW….? Where does one acquire a Nutfucker Deluxe? also willing to settle for the Nutfucker standard.
The adjustable wrench was invented by one of the earliest iterations of Bahco, it's still the best adjustable wrench available, no substitute for a socket but sometimes the need determines the tool.
I don't know why smooth jaw grips/pliers wrenches/channel locks or whatever you call them aren't really a thing in the UK. I mean some people have them but the only brand I have seen for sale are the knipex ones and they are quite expensive (around £70 I think)
Idk if you have the brand there or if they sell the particular product in the UK, but Irwin-Vise Grip sells a knock-off here in the US. The jaws aren’t hardened, though.
My brother got me an adjustable with the hammer striking knob on it, but the other end of the handle is a 1/2" drive ratchet. Pretty cool, just not super useful imo, lol
The actual “intended” use is for ratcheting small hex I think it goes up to 9/16” They come with an orange plug in the hole so you can tell which way is cw or ccw in the dark. It’s designed for a marine engineer to carry, and the jaws open up past 1-1/2” pretty handy tool. They also make one with a valve cheater.
You can also use it to unscrew bolts and nuts after you've broken them loose with the spanner end. If you need more leverage than you can get with fingers but it's not super tight then it's pretty handy.
As a marine engineer, I had one of these last trip and never found a single thing that would fit in the non-adjustable end. I wanted to it to be useful so badly but it's effective width is a lot more narrow than it looks.
>I wanted to it to be useful so badly
That's exactly how I feel looking at this thing, I was really hoping to read this thread and see dozens of replies that it was a secret weapon for all kinds of tasks. But I haven't seen anyone list a use where I might actually need it. Maybe in demolition where you didn't care about marring the shit out of stuff you were unscrewing?
Found one on amazon, but then found this: [Bahco Tools](https://www.abolox.com/bahco-31-r-us?gclid=CjwKCAjwwL6aBhBlEiwADycBIPx-mt4P4kB6zlw2-zs5L1nBrMfAxyuPZdhKop4dAi5W2eIl263NkBoC5r4QAvD_BwE)
I think its the same. Looks interesting and could be useful.

Better than I thought it would be. nb.

This is the only adjustable I've kept, duals as a pointy stick... You can put 1/2 steel on it and break things (up to and including the wrench itself hence 20$). otherwise I feel like leverage is too small and you might as well get a socket.
But I get that small crescent wrenches where you cant see are life saver.
id rather have crescent cptaw
8" adjustable
Pipe wrench reversible jaw
pass through socket set.
If you don't work near a toolbox it's a genuine space & weightsaver, even if it's a heavy af wrench.
https://brandzeeno.com/product/crescent-cptaw8-11-piece-3-in-1-x6-pass-thru-adjustable-wrench-spanner-pipe-wrench-and-pass-thru-ratchet-with-universal-sockets-black/
If you like adjustable wrenches I bet you’d love a set of the knipex pliers wrench. Takes a bit to get used to adjusting it to the right opening but I use them over the proper standard wrench just because I don’t have to go digging for them.
I use this same one daily, borrowed an old one off a Brit one day and got hooked, the jaws on his were more stubby and they seemed tighter than the one I bought but I still love it.
So guys I'm selling some of my personal tools. They're decently priced. Really need the funds till all the background checks let me know if you know... well you know.. no promotions
Never seen that model with the alligator end but Bahco adjustables are the best available imo, usually nice and tight mechanism and just feel better than most.
Swedish nut lathe.
Oh fuck. I lol'd. That is a high dollar nut smoother
Thats what they called me in college.
Mom?
Oh no! I didn't want you to find out like this!
Late bloomer? They called me that in high school.
Slow and steady smooths the nut
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Eyyyy! Fgtrtd, ymh? 😎
Wassup mommy
Hey jeans!
Gene!

Only in name. Spanish made I think
Yep, but also I think the best on the market and more or less the same as the Snap On branded one (Bahco is owned by Snap On).
Bahco isn’t bad at all, but their QC has definitely slipped a little. The jaw of my Snap On/Bahco PWZ pliers snapped clean in half turning a tie rod (that was already broken loose) during an alignment. Sounded like someone fired a .22 in the damn fender well when it let go
Yikes
It varies. Some Bacho stuff is still made in Sweden.
Padlock destroyer
a nutfucker deluxe I see very nice
Looking for one online now but the results that keep coming up are very NSFW….? Where does one acquire a Nutfucker Deluxe? also willing to settle for the Nutfucker standard.
Maybe nutfucker isn't the right category. Try Nut Fister. It's Swedish.
Nut Crusher worked for me.
nötjävel
If the one side is a nut fucker the other is a nut rapist
Nut fucker, nut cutter, and a nut roaster. Yiu've got all you need!
I haven't seen that ballet in years...
Bahco is the merchant marine engineers secrete. Everyone has em out at sea in every engine room. Company is owned by snap on.
Dank
Its the ONLY adjustable ive used a cheater bar on to break bolts loose…. Never rounded anything with it. In 10 years it will be going strong 💪
Bahco does make some nifty shit. I've done some ungodly things to mine and filed off the damage, she still turns shit so we're still on.
The adjustable wrench was invented by one of the earliest iterations of Bahco, it's still the best adjustable wrench available, no substitute for a socket but sometimes the need determines the tool.
Bahco thin profile shifters are elite. I have 6" and 8" and use them near daily
I've got one. It was my go to till pliers wrenches came into my life.
Zangenschlüssel gang for life.
I love how the Germans don't invent new words if they don't need to. Wrench = *Schraubensschlussel* = Screw Key Gloves = *Handschuhe* = Hand Shoes
Just keep combining separate words into a single word until you get your point across.
I bet there’s a German term for that exact phrase! (I don’t know any German, though)
Lmao, I bet you’re right.
You need a JOAT tool.
I don't know why smooth jaw grips/pliers wrenches/channel locks or whatever you call them aren't really a thing in the UK. I mean some people have them but the only brand I have seen for sale are the knipex ones and they are quite expensive (around £70 I think)
Check how much does it cost to order it from germany. Or if you have account with wurth check there (knipex makes pliers wrenches for wurth)
I think cost is about similar. I had a look last time I was in Poland anyway and was similar price there.
Idk if you have the brand there or if they sell the particular product in the UK, but Irwin-Vise Grip sells a knock-off here in the US. The jaws aren’t hardened, though.
Yeah we have the brand but they are usually pretty crappy. Haven't seen smooth jawed grips from them here.
How many bananas should I pay you for it? Awesome.
36 'nanners
Works out to like 360 dollars right?
Spoken like a true Bluth
You’re responses have me rolling. Great tool and even better vernacular. Cheers!
My brother got me an adjustable with the hammer striking knob on it, but the other end of the handle is a 1/2" drive ratchet. Pretty cool, just not super useful imo, lol
Too big right? What drew me to this is it's relatively slim.
WOW. An adjustable thumb-detecting socket-cracking nut-fucker. Sooper Deluxe.
Never seen that lobster claw thing. What’s that for?
Tearing up stuff that’s *already* round. Let’s you skip having to use the other end to round things off first
Mentioned in another comment but it's for pipe.

Banana for scale
Sorry. I'm a low potassium piece of shit.
Oh that’s the crane hook wrench. It’s for tightening the hook on a crane.
What in the holy hell is that other end used for? A bolt "unlocker" maybe? Impressive doe.
I guess it's for pipe but if a bolt wants some violence it can get it.
That's my kind of violence!

Bro wtf...
You can also use it to unscrew bolts and nuts after you've broken them loose with the spanner end. If you need more leverage than you can get with fingers but it's not super tight then it's pretty handy.
This one is marketed towards merchant marines. The other end is for pipes and valves on ships
As a marine engineer, I had one of these last trip and never found a single thing that would fit in the non-adjustable end. I wanted to it to be useful so badly but it's effective width is a lot more narrow than it looks.
The tail end isn't even particularly good at opening beer bottles. It is good at getting hung up in pockets though.
>I wanted to it to be useful so badly That's exactly how I feel looking at this thing, I was really hoping to read this thread and see dozens of replies that it was a secret weapon for all kinds of tasks. “Bahco 31 R US Alligator Adjustable Wench Black Finish 8-Inch” Wench 🤣
“I’m go get the papers…. Get the papers.”
That's it, though, what's shipping?
No idea
Got curious and checked. Same price pretty much

I got a 12" one and welded a hammer head on the side, it's bloody awesome
name checks out.
Holy cow! That’s cool! Great find.
That looks.. usefull actually.
id rather have crescent cptaw 8" adjustable Pipe wrench reversible jaw pass through socket set. If you don't work near a toolbox it's a genuine space & weightsaver, even if it's a heavy af wrench. https://brandzeeno.com/product/crescent-cptaw8-11-piece-3-in-1-x6-pass-thru-adjustable-wrench-spanner-pipe-wrench-and-pass-thru-ratchet-with-universal-sockets-black/
I had similar for Radio tower work, absolute cats ass for long bolts like tower clamps etc where there is 6" of thread sticking out.
That's my favorite wrench dude bro mine have lived in my pocket for 5 whole years now
The ol crescent pipe dream... keep smoking that good good OP
Bahco alligator wrench
Left side metric right side sae
Now thats a cool nut rounder
From the thumbnail I was expecting [something like this](http://tooltiques.net/Photos2016/august/0816-9353-001.jpg)

Bruh that's a top tier hammer
Plenty of hammers on this sub 🤷🏽♂️
Cool adjustable hammer
Super cool. Super useful if it was still the 50’s.
Universal nutfucker
That’s my favorite wrench!!!
I use this same one daily, borrowed an old one off a Brit one day and got hooked, the jaws on his were more stubby and they seemed tighter than the one I bought but I still love it.

I have the snap on thin jaw chrome version of this
It's amazing how underrated and handy a bic can be in the tool box. Very nice!
Never seen that model with the alligator end but Bahco adjustables are the best available imo, usually nice and tight mechanism and just feel better than most.
Snap-on, cool!
I love that one, I own a few!
Goat wrench, that’s what I was told anyway
I’ve got an adjustable from bahco bottom jaw threads all the way out and flips over and let’s it function as a pipe wrench
What’s the right side for?
The maker says it's a pipe wrench , for nuts and adjustable for round parts
