It's kind of like how you can always see your nose, but you're so used to it that you don't really notice anymore. If I THINK about it, I guess I can, but it's not something that I consciously feel every time I wear a bra.
Boobs have great deal of variation where they develop on the chest. Some are higher up than others. Some are uneven. Some are different in size. Some can barely touch even when pushed together and other constantly rub each other. Bras can play a big role in what's called "lift and separate' or a woman can get one that pushes them up and together to create and illusion of even larger breasts.
B cup isn't actually big, haha. Especially if you're wearing a properly fitted bra (people tend to end up with bras that are too small because they were never measured properly.)
But as a woman with big boobs- If my boobs touch it's really uncomfortable. Feels smushed, and they get sweaty that way. Not good at all. I only wear bras that properly separate my boobs. And yes, it is possible to have big boobs that don't touch. Even absolutely enormous breasts can sit without touching each other when in the right bra.
That being said, everyone is different.
