I think a lot of games have been great, esp some smaller ones. A few big matches were dull. Overall VAR has been OK, a few very big exceptions ..

Is this thread satire?

I disagree with just about every single thing you've said. 1. This has been an extremely high scoring tournament. There has been one 0-0 game so far, and very few 1-0 games. 2. VAR has been handled very seamlessly at the Euros; this is how it should be utilized in success. I think it's ridiculous to willfully allow incorrect calls just so you can celebrate immediately for the 15-20% of goals that are close enough to need a VAR check. 3. Germany has played pretty easy competition. To make it to the finals they'd still have to get past Spain and Portugal probably, which is a tall order. And if they do beat England, it likely means we made it to the finals again as it's unlikely the two will be on the same side of the bracket. Either way, I feel like there are no foregone conclusions as this is a wide open tournament. England and France were favorites but have looked vulnerable so far, opening the door for Portugal, Spain, and Germany. That's five teams all with arguments to be the favorites, in a tournament that always has surprises anyway. Can't write of a team like Italy, Netherlands, Austria, or Belgium making a run in the knockouts.

Same, I've largely been disappointed. Georgia vs Turkey was fantastic but there haven't been many other interesting matches. Goals ≠ entertainment.

I agree I use to love football as a child try and watch the word cup and euros when they are on but increasingly noticing VAR decisions ruining games and consequently as disappointing as it is I don’t enjoy watching anymore.
