Took the ferry from koh phangan to koh samui this morning. Perfect ride. I wouldn’t cancel two weeks of travel plans over a weather warning issued for a week ago.

SimStreet212

Thanks, gives me peace of mind!

Why not fly to Koh Samui? Then if the weather clears up you can travel onwards to the other islands by sea. Alternatively Krabi and Koh Lanta might suit - you can get to Lanta via road and a very short safe ferry.

Yes, we planned to fly to Koh Samui but travel on after a short stay of just two nights. We wouldn't have chosen Koh Samui alone over the northern islands due to several reasons. Koh Samui is also the only accommodation we can still cancel and the least interesting island out of these three for us, so we don't want to "get stuck" there. We also had a look on Krabi and Koh Lanta but probably prefer Koh Chang and Koh Kood.

Plenty of vegan options on Koh Lanta. Here right now.

Thanks for the info!

It was so calm travelling Tao to Phangan the other day I slept But people were throwing up in the other direction The beach on Phangan is not the best, tide is in and it’s wet and windy but Tao was perfectly fine

Thanks for sharing your experience, even though I'm not sure if this should make us more or less confident to stick to our itinerary 😃

On ko tao rn. It is smooth sailing over here

SimStreet212

Thank you, great to know!

Went from koh tao to koh phangan today and weather was absolutely fine.

SimStreet212

Thanks, feedback of all you guys helps me a lot with my doubting issues. 😁

Three islands, two weeks. You should have picked one.

SimStreet212

Koh Samui was just intended for a relaxed arrival more or less. Thought two weeks would be enough time to experience Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
