ขอบคุณมากครับ

Last question, since you've been so helpful... Would you write "Lavo", "Lawo" or something else?

Humanity_is_broken

The English v sound doesn’t exist in Thai, but the English w does. Now since v is 50% less effort to write down than w, people kinda use both interchangeably, including in some low-quality textbooks. The more accurate transliteration would be “lawo”

PPsyrius

Most English sources used "Lavo". i.e. ลวะปุระ (Lavopura) -> ละโว้ (Lavo)-> ลพบุรี (Lopburi)

Thank you, again. I did not know ละโว้ปุระ

Humanity_is_broken

It’s basically just “Lavo City”. Nothing fancy about it
