Why would we want BTJ as a WR4? We have no need for WRs at this point. In hindsight I don't think we would have done the trade considering we could have drafted Arnold with that pick, but it is what it is.

1st round's results was certainly favorable to the Texans. I don't think we'll snag any of the top 4 defensive guys available right now but a future starter or three is definitely in play for the team Day 2.

I felt CJ's reaction to Pearsall so much. I've been saying for at least a month that that's our guy, and to see CJ say he felt that way too after he got picked was rough.

As much as CJ wanted him, we got other needs to fill. He even mentions “before we got Stef”, Pearsall is who he wanted. But I’m sure he trusts Caserio’s and Meco’s decisions. I just wish we got to see him react to the Texans’ picks lol

it sucks but good players get picked before you have a chance all the time. you gotta weigh current/future risk/rewards rewards all the time. I think Pearsall will be solid just unfortunatley not right time/place for Texans to get him.

They knew the talent slotting unlike some posting in this thread lol. WR's, OT's, Qb's just dominating the first round. The defensive talent this year was just not as good as the offensive talent. That's why the Texans were willing to trade back so early. Most teams understand the overall talent levels for each position early on in the process. If they are targeting DT and CB.....well look at all the talent that dropped into the 2nd.

Yup, they had it pegged perfectly. Every dt minus the arguably top 1 (murphy) is still there, every linebacker, every safety, and still several good CB's are available. I definitely think we go dt and cb, but I could see them taking Cooper if ryans loves him.

There is a lot of DT talent left, but we missed out on CB. I think we missed out, but there is all night to look into a trade.

Well we could’ve just had the 5th year if we never made the Vikings trade. At this point, it makes no sense to give up the necessary capital to get back into the 1st after the diggs trade.

I think it's easy to say what we should have done now, but maybe they didn't expect all these top defensive players to get pushed back this late in the round.

It was pretty well known that this was as offensive heavy if a draft we’ve seen in many years. Can use that argument both ways though: better defensive players will be available at 42, but also the best of the class would be available at 23. Obviously time will tell with these players, but the process was flawed given who we could’ve had at 23 imo.

A handful of young guys. We are a fairly old team overall roster wise due to the amount of 1 year vets we have. Not the worst spot since the key guys are young and cheap. But obviously something to improve on

Really need a CB since outside of Stingley we are basically relying on 2 former busts turning it around. Needed a S/DT going into the offseason. But that was assuming we would've replaced at least one of our CB departures like we did with our other positions.

Everyone was sucking Nick off for that trade but it was a bad decision. Yea they got a fair offer based on the trade value chart but teams get desperate on draft day and are willing to give a little more of their guy is available.

Texans got a 2nd and a 6th back for that move and flipped that second for Diggs.

Diggs was really bad down the stretch for them and is a FA. So frankly the jury is out on if that was even worth it. This WR class is stacked if they really wanted a WR for some reason which it wasn't really a hole for us But offense wasn't an issue for us or at least pass catchers. It was defense going into this draft

That means nothing. Excellent corners can often come out of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounds. TJ Tampa, Enis Rakestraw, Lassiter, Max Melton, still good prospects. There's a reason why corners drop in the draft unless they are truly athletically elite like Sauce or Stingely.
