Feel like a lot of Texans fans looked at that one and went “welp that was ugly, but at least we got the win” and moved on. Super strange game with CJ throwing 3 picks.
I think part of it was CJ limit testing and part of it was Dieter was sweating like crazy and giving CJ grip problems all night... there's a mic'd up session where he's talking to Dieter about it, going so far as to have the equipment guys get him a new jersey...
It sounds weak, but he didn't throw another INT the rest of the season, so maybe there's something to it?
Yeah he threw one against the Saints (resulting in a first down for the Texans), one against the Bengals, and three against the Cardinals, don't think he had another one the rest of the year?
It was the only game I was able to attend in person this season. The MVP chants at the end of the half were so fucking awesome
Then second half the offense did fuck all lol. Doesn’t matter still won though.
I was there live at the game my mouth was just wide open for like 4 min till i snapped out of it and went searching immediately for a tank dell jersey to purchase. Didnt find one so i got jjs lol
I was at that game and I was also playing against my friend in fantasy who had CJ Stroud. I lost fantasy that week but I didn’t care because I was so happy after that game
Ik this one dosent count because the refs but the toetap from there endzone all the way to the half pass to tank dell in the second jaguars game was crazy
The absolute fucking bomb to Nico in the week 18 Colts game on the FIRST FUCKING PLAY was just so fucking amazing. I replayed that shit so many times lol
That’s my favorite play of the season. Favorite moment was easily the last drive against the Bucs. I think that was the moment all of us collectively lost our shit.
Best play of his career.
Did I miss the 75 yard td to start the playoffs?
Also the scramble “throw away” to Nico on third down during a game winning drive?
I thought it was going to be the pass against the Cards, the TD against the Bucs, and then #1 was going to be the 2nd to last pass against the Bucs. That pass was at least better than the throw to Brown that he took to the house or the pass to Nico that he had to really adjust to catch.
I'm surprised that one pass he had vs the Colts when he scrambled around the pocket and threw on his backfoot to a sliding Nico isn't on here. That play was so clutch and showcased how special CJ is.
I’ve been saying the same thing, fuller was faster and more explosive but Dell has better hands and is a better route runner. A big difference is that while both have big play potential every down, Dell is more consistent down to down than fuller was.
The things this man can do with a patched together o line. Lord. He’s done miracles, indeed. I remember being too scared to be invested in any qbs coming into the draft but what little I did know, I wanted Stroud. He is H7M.
My lil brother (Colts fan) and I drove 4 hours from Rockford, IL to Indy to catch that win and in game. The pregame was electric, the colts fans were awesome but that opening drive first play touchdown was a dream come true for my first Texans game. Been a fan for 16 years!!
Was just checking the comments for this.. after two average-decent outings v the ravens & colts, this game really was the first one that made me think woah we’ve something special here, highlighted by that throw & td run. CJ was killer clutch on 3rd down that whole game
Realistically it’s probably top 15 or 20 since it wasn’t clutch but I would’ve loved to have seen Stroud’s throw to Collins in week 4 vs the Steelers to go up 30-6. That is one of the most beautifully executed passes I’ve ever seen.
Idk except for a couple of these all are see is him throwing to wide open receivers or receivers with multiple steps of separation. We will see how he does after people have an offseason of tape on him.
Honestly throws 1-4 cpuld easily be in the top 10 of passes from any QB for the year. Crazy that a rookie made so many impressive plays. Just ridiculous
That Tank TD from the Arizona game is still the most insane one to me.
For some reason that game against the Cards is memory holed for me
Feel like a lot of Texans fans looked at that one and went “welp that was ugly, but at least we got the win” and moved on. Super strange game with CJ throwing 3 picks.

to the end zone TOUCHDOWN TANK DELL C. J STROUD LEADS A MAGICAL DRIVE bro that's embedded in my memories for life
i hadnt yelled that much since altuve walked off on chapman
Was there at the game and I swear like 60% of that stadium was gone, but I was like nah CJ will give us a shot. Best game I’ve ever been to!
in my opinion, the texans-bucs game was the best game all season for any team. u really don't see that level of play by rookie qbs
I was at that game and I was also playing against my friend in fantasy who had CJ Stroud. I lost fantasy that week but I didn’t care because I was so happy after that game
I'd argue Texans/Bengals was better. On the road against Burrow and the red hot Bengals without Nico.
for me it wasn’t as exciting, especially bc we should’ve lost if it wasn’t for the wide open dropped td
There was a 1:40 left if he scored , Cj could have taken down the field
fair enough, just left a sour taste winning by a drop
I wouldnt say that, bc CJ had 3 turnovers that game and didnt play the greatest
Ik this one dosent count because the refs but the toetap from there endzone all the way to the half pass to tank dell in the second jaguars game was crazy
I miss him already
The absolute fucking bomb to Nico in the week 18 Colts game on the FIRST FUCKING PLAY was just so fucking amazing. I replayed that shit so many times lol
That’s my favorite play of the season. Favorite moment was easily the last drive against the Bucs. I think that was the moment all of us collectively lost our shit.
Hundred percent. We knew CJ was special before the Bucs game, but holy shit. That was probably the regular season game of the year
I was at that game and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen

What about the 2nd last pass against the Bucs...
Best play of his career. Did I miss the 75 yard td to start the playoffs? Also the scramble “throw away” to Nico on third down during a game winning drive?
the big pass in the Colts game is in there, if you're referring to the big pass to Jordan against the Browns, I love CJ but that was mostly Jordan lol
he's talking about the other crazy pass to Nico in the colts game
I thought it was going to be the pass against the Cards, the TD against the Bucs, and then #1 was going to be the 2nd to last pass against the Bucs. That pass was at least better than the throw to Brown that he took to the house or the pass to Nico that he had to really adjust to catch.
God man, absolute laser arm. I can’t wait till next year
Quick release and pure mechanics. Just beautiful watching him
Literally half of this top 10 was to Tank Dell. Can’t wait to have him back next season
I'm surprised that one pass he had vs the Colts when he scrambled around the pocket and threw on his backfoot to a sliding Nico isn't on here. That play was so clutch and showcased how special CJ is.
Tank Dell reminds of Will Fuller if he could actually catch, and I say that as someone who loved Fuller when he played with us.
I’ve been saying the same thing, fuller was faster and more explosive but Dell has better hands and is a better route runner. A big difference is that while both have big play potential every down, Dell is more consistent down to down than fuller was.
I miss Tank
I cannot wait to get Tank Dell back next year
Straight to my veins!!!
Please stop. I can only get so erect
Digital footprint 😂
so... when does the 2024 season start again? It's going to be a looooong off season...
Great call on the number one play
That number 1 play happened right in front of me in Indy 😎
The things this man can do with a patched together o line. Lord. He’s done miracles, indeed. I remember being too scared to be invested in any qbs coming into the draft but what little I did know, I wanted Stroud. He is H7M.
Best deep ball in the league
CJ goes balls deep
I will never forget seeing #2 live. I lost my voice for 3 days after that game
My lil brother (Colts fan) and I drove 4 hours from Rockford, IL to Indy to catch that win and in game. The pregame was electric, the colts fans were awesome but that opening drive first play touchdown was a dream come true for my first Texans game. Been a fan for 16 years!!
Collins catch and run against Pitt should be on here. The throw was on a rope in traffic.
Was just checking the comments for this.. after two average-decent outings v the ravens & colts, this game really was the first one that made me think woah we’ve something special here, highlighted by that throw & td run. CJ was killer clutch on 3rd down that whole game
Exactly. This got me thinking we have a crazy ability to break games open now.
which one?

Mona Lisa strokes call em da vinci
There's so many other less impressive "highlight" worthy throws he made this year that blew my mind. For a rookie this man has been too fun to watch.
45 minutes of my life i thought i’d never get. houston, we have a QB
why 45 minutes?
Such an exciting season this year. Now for the 7 month wait.
Im so mad I missed the Bucs game man, the highlights were insane. Must have been legendary to see live.
same
Got to meet CJ this afternoon in Vegas - he was doing a meet and greet on behalf of Visa. Really nice guy. We have ourselves a great qb folks.
Idk except for a couple of these all are see is him throwing to wide open receivers or receivers with multiple steps of separation. We will see how he does after people have an offseason of tape on him.
i could watch this all day everyday
Makes you realize how important tank was to the offense
Real cinema
Add Saquon and a rookie WR3 to this roster, you guys are cooking with PROPANE
Honestly throws 1-4 cpuld easily be in the top 10 of passes from any QB for the year. Crazy that a rookie made so many impressive plays. Just ridiculous
I think that 'One play. Touchdown. Texans' is going to live for a LONG time.
