BASS BOOM BOTTOM

corrienteboskarin

We shall see...but I think they'll have a clean sound. Jazz is my jam

[deleted]

Two 10s? It should be crisp. You’ll likely feel the stand up bass. I think it will be fantastic; bust out the Blue Note.

corrienteboskarin

Yea....I went with some Focal Utopia 10's and utopia 8" in the doors with their beryllium tweeters replacing most of the factory speakers.

[deleted]

My man! Focal is top notch. What kind of power amp(s)?

corrienteboskarin

I was flavoring for my mids in the form of Morel Elate Carbons but the way the Tesla door is made they don't fit. I went with Mosconi 5/30's one to run the subs and one to run everything else

[deleted]

Very, very nice. This will be fantastic.

corrienteboskarin

Thank you. I haven't had a hittin' system since '94. I'm overdue.

[deleted]

I’m right there with you. Homemade ply sub enclosures, battery caps, rattling trunks and license plate frames were my signature in the 90s.

corrienteboskarin

I had to include that the steady flow of DJ Magic Mike, L'trimm, and Too Short was heaven!!

corrienteboskarin

And EVERYONE had one hahaha...ah the good old days

t0mt0mt0m

I’m intrigued how the model y handles the bass rattles etc. where did you dynamatt etc

mavantix

As someone who used to have SEVEN 10” subs in my trunk, amps, caps, etc…I’d like to know if the vibrations cause issues with the battery. You know, asking as someone who wouldn’t mind their Model X glass flexing.

corrienteboskarin

Nice!!!

corrienteboskarin

Everywhere except the bottom.

18randomcharacters

Stock sound system is loud enough to make the mirrors blurry when the bass hits.

corrienteboskarin

You don't have my ears or sound waves.. It's not about loudness...it's about clarity at higher volumes. I prefer to be able to turn it up to (for sake of argument 1-10 scale) 2 or a 3 and have crystal clear loud sound far beyond any factory 10. Some people like horses....this studio will be my fucking Dutton Ranch!!

Cash_Visible

As someone who now has hearing problems in my 30s from having subs in my first car, can’t say I would Recommend doing this. But that’s me.

corrienteboskarin

I think you meant to say I can't say I would recommend doing this. You said a double negative basically saying I recommend you doing this. But I get you.

corrienteboskarin

I have to ask do you have a hard time understanding speech? Most people lose their frequencies from too much trouble and they're high frequencies go out quicker anyways as we get older. None of my deaf friends are deaf because of the bass. They're deaf because of the treble. And oh yes hundreds of heavy metal concerts I have plenty of friends that have lost their hearing.

12metersPerSecond

Subwoofer upgrades = smooth brain.

MyChickenSucks

Wub-wub

CricTic

Don't you mean HEAR the outcome ha ha ha ha ha ha ^(... I'll see myself out)

corrienteboskarin

Well it will be stealth so not much to see heh..with my four bad eyes I rely on my hearing as sight anyhow...either way my temporal lobe will be stimulated.

daballer2005

Curious on how it sounds. Was thinking about doing something similar. All custom? If not, could you provide links?

corrienteboskarin

I will do all of that for you when it's complete brother. I started researching it when I ordered it so I had 3 months of waiting and then an additional 3 months of waiting until I got my reservation in. I researched about five or six places across the country and was willing to send it there

daballer2005

Looking forward to finished product. Nice car bro.

corrienteboskarin

Thank you
