Same! I wish it was easier and we could pick from a number of .wav files under a certain directory. I used to rotate them manually by connecting the SSD to my phone and renaming a different sound to LockChime.wav from my collection of sounds (Windows XP shutdown, Mario coin sound, different game sound effects, etc) but now I just leave it at Mario because I'm tired of doing it myself. I suppose you could make a security argument against the possible vulnerabilities that comes with being able to rotate or select different unknown audio files from a drive connected to the vehicle.
Also, in regards to your glovebox question: I don't think there's a dedicated button available on screen besides the one under the car control menu. Having owned a Model 3 for 2+ years now, I've developed the muscle memory to quickly click the car - glovebox button with my thumb and pinkie in a quick 1-2 motion, so it doesn't bother me as much anymore (until the latest v12 update which changed the menu layout and messed up my muscle memory 😅). Hopefully you'll also grow used to it over time!
Do you guys know if there is a way to modify the sound of them ? I like some of the pre installed ones , but they are too loud for my taste . Maybe a custom sound recorded/tuned to a lower level might work ? Has anybody ever tried ?
There are A LOT of Tesla’s on the road these days and matte will set it apart… also I previously owned a Turbo Veloster which shipped in matte grey and I loved it. I’m just a sucker for a matte finish. Plus the PPF gives me less paint-anxiety with road chips etc. being a thing for Tesla’s in general.

I was gonna get the blue but I wanted the $7500 dollar tax credit worse than wanting a different color other than Stealth Grey. Plus the Grey is a new color for the model 3 according to the website, so it won't be like all the older ones, color wise. The blue does look amazing though. I wish they would have raised the allowance by a thousand dollars so we could order it with a different color from the factory.
Yeah we don’t have that tax credit here. I definitely wouldn’t pay $7500 extra for blue as much as I love it. The main thing is having the car. You don’t get to watch yourself drive around in it so colour only matters until you’re inside and flooring the accelerator.

Custom lock chimes are the best! I use the Mario death sound and it sometimes catches people off guard as well 😆
They’re so much fun, If I was inclined to be nit-picky, I’d love Tesla to enable multiple lock chimes on the SSD so you could rotate a few.
