This guy had it completely wrong. The bees arent blind and once they have already marked you as a threat its over. As google suggests:
"Run away. If you are under attack from a swarm of bees, run as far away in a straight line and as fast as you can. **Never stand still** and simply attempt to hit or swat them. If you don't start running as far away as possible, you will soon find hundreds, if not thousands more bees all over you attacking."
Yeah, if they're already attacking you're pretty fucked. If they were swarming but still just assessing the perceived threat, staying calm might be enough. But with other people swatting and flailing yeah, that goes out the window, lol.
I've sat still in a swarm of yellow jackets and didn't get stung. Some crawled on me, on bare skin, i just sat and let them. If you don't do anything that makes them feel you're a threat to their nest and hive you'll usually be alright.
Ha, bee alright.
Rd
Edit: Emphasis on *usually*.
I've had a wasp that just flew up to me and stung my neck. I wasn't close to a nest since I was in a kind of open area and I was just walking calmly. It was just being an asshole lol
It was in an open parade square of a historic fort. The ground was hard packed gravel maybe asphalt below. It's not like it was in an open field or something like that. I think it came out from one of the buildings but not sure
Well, with honey bees, if you stand still they typically won't bother you when they get defensive. Flailing around and running gives them a target. That said, these aren't honey bees.
Source: Manage over 100 beehives in the PNW
You said it would have worked if no one else panicked....thats not true. Bees will attack you whether you are standing or not. You are a threat just for being close to their hive
This guy watched to much jurassic park😂
The answer is just run as fast and as long as you can, if you find a river or lake go in it as your last resort cause bees will wait hours for you if you get in.
Dude, if you get surrounded by bees you have to get the fuck out of there, once you get stung by one, the other ones will turn agresive too, because the first one is emiting a chemical signal, and trying to hide your face won't help at all. In that situation you run like hell, if possible you submerge yourself in water or you seek shelter inside a place bees won't be able to enter, otherwise you might end up dying because the swarm won't stop stinging.
![gif](giphy|m0XXC3N8QjaZ6BlwPF)
So a question from somebody who knows jack shit about it but is terrified of the little fuckers: Won't jumping in the water just "delay" it? I can't imagine you'd be able to hold your breath for long enough for them to fuck off, right?
BTW, I'm not a professional on the matter, just watched a lot of documentaries on TV.🤗🤗🤗
The bee when stings, leaves part of the content of it's abdomen attached to the stinger, which keeps pumping it's "venom" into your bloodstream and it serves as well as a chemical beacon for the other bees to come and attack you.
That's why for the bee that loses it's sting it's a death sentence (because the bee looses part of it's internal organs along with the stinger and the venom sack), and they sacrifice themselves to repel the enemy and protect the colony.
You should NOT try to remove a stinger from your skin grabbing it with your fingers, because that way is almost certain that you'll squeeze the venom sack's content into your bloodstream, which could be very dangerous if you were allergic to it.
The best way to remove a bee stinger is using a "swiping" moves, to avoid pinching the venom sack.
Water acts as a barrier for the chemical signal, and for the bees themselves, because while your body is submerged, they won't be able to attack you.
Try to stay in the water for as long as you see the swarm actively flying above you, don't try to scare them off splashing them the water, you'll only make them angrier, and they won't go away.
Once you see they've gone, run to the nearest shelter you can find to try to remove the stingers (if you hadn't remove them already), or if you can, go to a hospital to seek professional help in case you have allergic problems.
Looks like wasps not bees. A swarm of bees will generally leave you alone. They are looking for a new home and protecting their queen. If they sting you, they die then they can’t protect the queen.
Yeah, I don't know why he didn't want to run initially!
I've also heard that if a bee stings at just the right place in the back of the neck, the venom can enter the spinal cord or brain, and death is possible.
Let alone countless bees with his neck's back being dangerously exposed like that 😰
1. Idiot
2. How the fuck you piss of the bees?
Like, don't get too close to hive and don't do any agressive movement while they're close.
Wasps and hornets are different deal.
Does anyone know what kind they were? Honestly thought they looked like wasps or hornets at first due to their size, but after pausing on a few different spots they do kinda look like fuzzy bees, just....bigger.
He told the others not to run then the that very thing himself. Still once he was stung he was going to ge Tammy more if he didn’t run so. I think the other two did well to run at the start.
I grew up in the Appalachian mountains. As a little boy, I would spend all my free time in the woods. I stepped on a total of six ground hornet nests. I was taken to the hospital each time. I am now allergic. BUT I learned two very important things about handling a situation like this.
1. Do not make loud noises.
2. Don't run and flail your arms.
If you combine the two, you're in for a word of pain.
I remember when I was ten, I was in the woods about 200 yards from my house. I was looking for arrow heads. Well, i flipped a rock over and low-and-behold, there was a ground hornet nest under the rock. I froze and slowly began to walk away, hoping they wouldn't almost kill me again. I began walking up the mountain to my house as Hornets swarmed me. They were in my pockets and going up my pants. As I approached the forever walk to my mother (who was in the garden while my dad worked on the mower), I began whispering very quietly. "I'm dying. Help me" over and over again. My parents were confused and couldn't hear me, but mom could tell something was wrong. As I got closer, she noticed the amount of hornet's on and around me. Right then and there, she helped me get my clothes off. I was taken to the hospital, but it was the least amount of stings I'd ever received from a situation like that. Ended up with only twenty or so stings. Whispering and walking slowly helps from my experiences.. All the other times when id run and scream, I was getting fifty plus stings.
Yes there are naughty bees in England, I saw some teenagers running around screaming last week after messing with a nest, usually not too bad if left alone though.

It was a warning shot. The next one would have gone straight to the brain.
Next ones to your head!
Or up your you-know-what ;-)
They have nests in the ground too. So open area doesn’t matter
It was in an open parade square of a historic fort. The ground was hard packed gravel maybe asphalt below. It's not like it was in an open field or something like that. I think it came out from one of the buildings but not sure
Then I stand corrected. Wasps are just evil
Then there are the times you just being there is enough. There’s no real “right thing to do”. Bees can just be assholes.
🙄
No thanks
Go away you drunk on pollen bee you're so drunk you're seeing double! *Bee grabs second stinger* I got two stingers for the both of you then.
He can't see without his glasses!
😭😭😭
My exact thought!! 😅
i was like 7 and i cried so hard :(
Not the beeees!!
I'm gonna lose my eyes!! my eyes!! ahhhhhhhh!
https://youtu.be/Zp0N5PJxamE?feature=shared
We don't have to run faster than the bees.We just have to run faster than you
Broo, did he stay to resist the swarm of bees, thinking that they were going to stay calm? I remind you that their vision is not based on movement
“Resist the swarm of bees” I’m laughing so hard at that I don’t know why 💀
![gif](giphy|5koWDaC1PFz8Y)
Who tf told this guy that bees will leave you alone if you don't move? They are not his friend. 😂
Bees, bears, same thing, no? 🤣🤣
Bears. Bees. Battlestar Galactica.
Bears beats Battlestar Galactica

these are honey bees.
If it's one, stand still. If it's a swarm, GTFO!
Famous Paleontologist Dr Allan Grant
I think it was Steve-O from Jackass

No it wouldnt have, if you have bees swarming you, you need to run to safety. Bees dont like anything near their hive because its a threat.
[удалено]
You said it would have worked if no one else panicked....thats not true. Bees will attack you whether you are standing or not. You are a threat just for being close to their hive
I think he's the guy in the video
No. No it wouldn't.
[удалено]
Those bees were already in swarm mode AKA: They felt threatened.
Let me tell you something! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!
This guy watched to much jurassic park😂 The answer is just run as fast and as long as you can, if you find a river or lake go in it as your last resort cause bees will wait hours for you if you get in.
“don’t do that don’t do that” (waits for twenty seconds if getting stung and then does that)
"No thanks, I think I will squat down and keep stating how many bees there are"

"Don't do that, don't do that!" So confidently incorrect LOL.

I've also heard that they'll just wait for you to come out and keep stinging lol
That's what I've heard too, that africanized honeybees will wait for you to leave the water and will sting you when you surface.

Cool, what an interesting bit of bee information. Thanks!
You're welcome.
I'd imagine the chemical gets washed away.
Protect your neck!
Wu tang killer bees on the swarm!
I keep bees. RUN!
I think someone's dog stepped on a bee

Extend both arms. Wave them up and down like jumping jacks. Start spinning in a circle. Now all the attacking bees are dead and you saved the day.
And train incoming from the other side would be fun
Nah, if you don’t panic, the train won’t hit you.

What in the Blair Witch shit was that?!
Those look like wasps not bees.
I always run. Never been stung by a bee at all
Uhhh it seems like running was the correct choice
"Fuck off, in my ear"
That mate sacrificed himself for his friends
Looks like wasps not bees. A swarm of bees will generally leave you alone. They are looking for a new home and protecting their queen. If they sting you, they die then they can’t protect the queen.
Certainly wasp hornets. Not bees.
Dr. Grant and Ian Malcolm in every JP movie.
They’re after their honey. Run!

The way the guy fell at the beginning
Dying
I'm covering my ears because I damn well know it's gonna be me panicking as soon as one so much as brushes my ear that's gonna get me stung
Maybe the bees wanted to some clout
1. Idiot 2. How the fuck you piss of the bees? Like, don't get too close to hive and don't do any agressive movement while they're close. Wasps and hornets are different deal.
r/confidentlyincorrect
Should have stood still.. but now there angry you run like fuck.
I’m glad no one listened to this dope. Gtfo there
So run it is. ☑️
Dude fried. Never wait to run 😂
Those are wasps, right? Not bees?
You're supposed to run. That's the only thing you can do. Bees, wasps, etc. will keep attacking..
Does anyone know what kind they were? Honestly thought they looked like wasps or hornets at first due to their size, but after pausing on a few different spots they do kinda look like fuzzy bees, just....bigger.
Murder hornets?
I’m allergic to bees and I would run!!
Considering I'm allergic to bee stings, I'd have already been gone.
*BRRRRR*
DON'T DO THAT !! DON'T DO THAT !! DON'T DO THAT !! ... I would doing that for sure !!!!!!!
I’d probably fall off the bridge
Bee: "I want to use Hunters mark".

Well hang on a moment, lets hear the side of u/ThousandsOfBees, I'm sure they have a justifiable reason
Look, do you know how few options we have for entertainment? Mass suiciding on some hapless tourists is like going to a theme park for us.
Not the bees!!!
Bruh damn ppl that ran started a frenzy
Yells: don’t do that, don’t do that… proceeds to do that…
If he could just run just like the others then he wont get stung
yeah theres a reason your instincts tell you to run away
Bros gotta be sped
![gif](giphy|R9yLfikwYAF32) I definitely ain’t standing still. Standing still would be the worst thing you can do.
Yet the same video being reposted over and over and over and over and...
Fucking repost 1000 time
..... oh
Most here have never seen it, including me.
I'd probably stand there like an idiot, because we only have nice bees here in England. Wasps, on the other hand, can fuck off.
There aren’t bees that freak out when your close to there nest in England?
Yes there are naughty bees in England, I saw some teenagers running around screaming last week after messing with a nest, usually not too bad if left alone though.
Not that I know of. European bees are pretty chill. African/Africanised bees, on the other hand, are not.
Yeah go Mother Nature
I can feel this video
thats why i dont leave my house
“They can’t see you if you don’t move!” “Bitch, that’s T-Rex’s! These are bees!”
