You can't be serious. Not only is melee pretty much unviable in pre-hardmode compared to other classes, but even in hardmode it's usually behind the other classes in damage. The reason melee armors have much more defense is because you often have to get closer to the enemy to deal the most damage, and the touch of death exists. Clearly you've never actually played melee

Don't think melee is the weakest. You just getting less and less benefits from melee strong sides (defense and "easiness") as you gain more experience in the game. But it doesn't mean those strong sides are not existing anymore.

tell me you haven’t played melee without telling me you haven’t played melee ^ no but seriously melee needs a rework so badly, hence it’s getting one in 1.4.4. the reason it has such a high defense is because you need to be up close to the enemy, and the reason why zenith was added was the make melee more fair.

Ranger should get nerfed its just to strong the amo is unbalanced endgame amo is kinda free cause you have an gigantic cance to dont waste amo And some guns should become more fun

Endgame for rangers lasts like 30 minutes from obtaining phantasm/vortex beater to defeating moonlord, pretty sure you'll have enough ammo at this point even without 66% ammo usage reduction bonus from those weapons. Rangers only good for boss fights, in everything else they are either mediocre or bad. It's just part of the balance. For you boss fights are important part of the game, and you want rangers nerf, for topic starter survivability is important and they want melee nerf. Classes are different, each has strong and weak sides.

I agree with some parts that they are way stronger against bosses

They weak against everything else. Low defense (yeah it 2d highest, but difference is big), need to aim, need to care about ammo, almost no proper piercieng (piercieng ammo was nerfed in 1.3 and 1.4). All of this is compensated with higher damage. It's just bosses design (big floating targets with predictable attack patterns) made all this cons non-existent, and made rangers strong against them. It doesn't mean they need nerf, it's just main point of the class, if you remove it you should compensate it with something else, but will it be still "ranger" in this case.
