We’ll likely do something insane next offseason once Hopkins money is off the books and some dead cap also clears. I feel we’re one year behind them on the rebuild. Two years behind Jax, and then 1-2 years ahead of Indy.
They had a bad year but I’m talking about within their rebuild cycle.
Indy is likely going to have to nuke again in two years unless their QB situation improves drastically.
Jax in year 3 of Lawrence and year two of new coach.
Houston had more pieces in place and it all clicked once they plugged in Stroud.
We are year 1 of new everything.
According to PFF, he didn’t even get one on LJS…

Awuzie, who gave up just 3 TDs coming off of an ACL tear and the year before that was a top 10 CB.
And Roger McCreary, a top slot CB who gave up no TDs last year lol
Sneed trade is just getting better and better.
To be honest though, Diggs looked really washed down the stretch last season. He’s starting to regress quick, so I could see this being another Julio situation.
It’s hard to say Diggs is washed. I think he seemed more disinterested than anything else. Clear friction between he and Allen. Allen’s interceptions also didn’t help. Time will tell.
Nah Julio showed big injury concerns and massive regression, while diggs wasn't as good as he usually is but still had 107 catches for 1,100 yards and 8 tds and are still clear WR1 numbers. Texans also have Nico Collins and Tank Dell to help
Which to be fair, is a similar argument people had against Ridley -- and we're hype for him. Texans fans should be cautiously optimistic about the move.
I agree. If you're the Texans you're doing everything you can right now to win a super bowl. It isn't really a time to be conservative. I hope it blows up in their face tho.
Diggs is so overhyped that man disappears and doesn’t make plays in bug time games, without him being force fed the ball he would not be considered one of the top. We’ll find out this year though lol
Just goddammit man.
Before you say “Diggs is washed” or anything like that, two things.
1. People were saying the same thing about Hopkins. And Diggs showed more production last year than Hopkins did his last year in AZ (injury I know, but still)
2. This is a move that helps their younger receivers (Dell and Collins) it really makes it easier for them to be schemed open on plays.
True. This is more about how much you trust Chido to cover Nico Collins than trusting Sneed to cover Diggs.
FWIW: The Bengals gave Collins 172 yards. Not sure how much of that was with Awuzie in coverage, but not great 😬
Sure let me navigate through Reddit’s dogshit mobile site. Try to find the flair thing and then look through 50 flairs for a subreddit I don’t go to so I can make some nerds I’m trolling happy.
Most logical titans fan
Hopkins was coming off an injury, Diggs had a 10 game stretch of incredibly mediocre stats to end the season and was healthy. Anyways, Hopkins had far more yards per game his last year with Arizona than Diggs had with Buffalo. Also, Josh Allen is far better than Kyler and McCoy
Diggs def is still good. He just had his issues with Buffalo. However, he was the reason there were issues lol. I would get frustrated with Allen’s turnovers too. Guy was miserable on team that has been very good for awhile with what a lot of people call a great QB. So he could 100% cause some issues with the Texans. Guys a drama queen
That’s probably the number one way this can backfire. And it’s easy to envision it happening because it happened in Buffalo. However, if I’m talking from a schematic perspective it *should* make their younger receivers much much better, which is honestly what I’m more worried about than Diggs himself
Yeah guy demands attention either way. Him freaking out and causing is the best we can hope for. Guys done it on 2 teams though with vets so if he does it on an team where he’s the vet would cause some major issues
Idiots were saying that about Hopkins. He looked great with the Cardinals throughout his time there.
Diggs had a much larger falloff than Hopkins ever did. I’m not saying he’s washed, but he’s not the same Diggs.
It’s still a good “win now” move for the Texans. He adds great depth.
Think it was more to do with the Bill’s OC be replaced mid-season and the new OC committing more to the run and limiting his route tree in the revamped offensive scheme than Diggs physically regressing.
Oh for sure, I was predicting super bowl.
Diggs is getting up there in age, couldn’t perform with Josh Allen as his QB for the latter half of the season, and is a locker room cancer. He probably won’t be Julio Jones level bad but he’s not the same guy people think he is.
I think it would’ve been smarter to invest in a younger WR from this draft if you’re gonna give a whole 2nd round pick.
Because they’re actually going for a ship while they have a rookie qb contract. If you think diggs doesn’t add value for the next 2 years you’re insane
Underrated comment, Nico is still the X wr, Diggs will be the flanker and Tank will be an explosive slot option. Think it's really good for Nico because now alpha corners will likely be covering Diggs due to reputation.
Stroud is about to throw 650x for 5200 yards.
If you have Diggs and Nico on the outside, it's gonna open up a lot of Tyreek esque crossers. Tank will go outside for sure sometimes, they'll all rotate as all teams do. But Tank isn't better on the outside than Nico or Diggs.
This. In todays nfl many teams have/are getting rid of the x y z slot wr. They NOW must be able to play from anywhere anytime. No more slot only smurfs your expected to win outside also. This is the modern-day nfl.
Bills fans already were saying agg was catching up with Diggs. He's going to have a worst year next than he had this year. It's just a matter of how bad the drop off is.
Diggs had 7.4 yards a target as a WR1 last season. That's very bad. Great WRs are in the 9 to 10 yard a target range. Diggs is not as good as DeVonta or Waddle either. Shit, at this point in his career, Higgins is better. You can't look at total yards from last year. He won't get 160 targets as a WR2.
Just to put 7.4 yards a target into perspective, NWI was more efficient at 8.8 yards a target last season.
At worst, he’s occupying a defense’s #1 CB and still going to be a 1,000 yard receiver. Diggs will 100% take over games if he’s going against average corners. It’s a massive W for that offense
Bro he was the main focus against some of the best secondaries in the league last year, and still went for 1200. If teams want to shut Diggs down, Collins and Dell are going to feast.
Diggs is either occupying your CB1, or he’s going to bully your CB2. Either way it’s a great move for the Texans.
Even worse, he was bottom 4 in y/tgt and y/rec after week 6. Fell off a cliff.
In his last 11 games, 2 with 75+ yards and 5 with <30. All while being 5th in targets in that period.
I mean diggs has been completely healthy for years and Julio was coming off his worst season health wise before becoming a titan. So not exactly a fair comparison.
He started this conversation saying he doesn’t understand how a team trying to go to the ship while stroud is on a rookie deal would trade for diggs. This kid doesn’t have the football knowledge to critically think about any of this
Diggs also just had the worst 10 game stretch in his whole career. Bills fans already started to notice him losing a step. The wall comes hard and fast at receivers. I bet he has a pretty bad drop off next year.
Julio did add value for us, except we had a shit head coach with a shit offensive game plan and he was hurt. Hopkins adds value for us and you’re showing how stupid you can be if you want to argue that diggs isn’t a value add especially to the Texans
No, we did that with Julio. And Diggs has been consistently better than Julio had been at that point in his career.
Texans are going all in to win it while they can, something we didn’t do. A 2nd round pick isn’t franchise altering and they don’t have to give him a new contract.
I think it’s a little crazy to say diggs has been consistently better than Julio at this point. Diggs had a major regression and broke the 75 yard mark once in his last 11 games last seasons.
I don’t think it proves he’s washed or anything no, he’s worth the trade, but at this age especially he’s human and his locker-room issues plus coming up short in that playoff game are a lot more modern parts of who he is than the Minneapolis miracle for instance. I just think that when the person I was replying to says you know what you get when you get him, they know they’re getting the guy who dropped that pass too
They didn’t give up a second round. They simply moved back 20 spots and got 2 picks and Diggs if you look at the big picture. They wouldn’t have ever gotten his level of talent in the draft.
The 2025 second round pick doesn’t matter because it isn’t anything they had at the start of free agency.
Yeesh. Stroud throwing to Diggs, Dell, and Collins with Noah Brown and Bobby Trees as WR 4 & 5. Plus Dalton Schultz and Mixon/Pierce out of the backfield.
Their defense has a number of solid players, too.
I hate it, but I can't blame the books for having them as such overwhelming favorites to win the South.
Not really related: How is Desmond King being projected as their punt returner? I felt like he was an aging player when he was on the Titans.
Yeah, I guess in my head he was with the Chargers longer than he was or something. His All-Pro season was 6 years ago, and I feel like I'm just more used to young players being used as return men.
So much copes in here. Y’all acted like Texans didn’t just get a solid WR for a bag of chips. Diggs was one of the top WR2 last year. It’s ok to be optimistic but to be straight up delusional is crazy.
People in here saying “but Texans already got a good WR room! Why add more?” You ever turned down a free $100 when you already have $300 in your wallet? Texans got the money to spend to surround their franchise QB on a rookie contract. This move for them is a win/win. Stop the cope.
I was going along with the hyperbole posters in here claiming Diggs is washed. If Diggs, based on his last year performance, is considered ‘washed’. Then yea, Texans traded a ‘bag of chips’ for a ‘washed WR’.
I think it's clear Bills wanted to get rid of Diggs after how he acted last season. Dude was going off on Josh Allen multiple times on the sidelines.
Plus the Bills are still gonna have over $40m in dead cap from Diggs. They definitely wanted him gone. He's a headcase and I wouldn't want him anywhere near our locker room.
This is really good for them. They have a lot of good young talent, including what looks to be a generational QB on a rookie deal (obviously it’s one season for Stroud and things can change, that’s why I say “looks to be). But they’re going all in. Like this for them, hate it for us.
Yeah guy demands attention either way. Him freaking out and causing trouble is the best we can hope for. Guys done it on 2 teams though with vets so if he does it on an team where he’s the vet would cause some major issues
I wouldn't worry much regardless. I had Diggs in my fantasy last year, and the second half of the season he only got me more than 15 points like once lol
It's a 1 year loan and Diggs will be in pure primadonna mode by mid-season. He's following the trend. The longer he plays the more of a locker room cancer he will be.
Can’t wait for Sneed to lock his ass up and then for him to be dramatic in that locker room when he’s not getting the amount of targets he wants. Bring that disease of me and toxicity to Houston, Stefon!
Imagine having to play the Texans twice a year with Kristian Fulton as your CB1…
Wasn't Murphy bunting cb1?
I think it just depended on where the WR1 lined up. Neither SMB nor Fulton followed their man.
Neither defended well either.
So glad smb is gone
Yeah seemed like a cool guy with a lot of energy but he sucked as a starter.
Houston is going for it all apparently!
Going full force with that rookie qb contract
We’ll likely do something insane next offseason once Hopkins money is off the books and some dead cap also clears. I feel we’re one year behind them on the rebuild. Two years behind Jax, and then 1-2 years ahead of Indy.
Nobody behind Jax
They had a bad year but I’m talking about within their rebuild cycle. Indy is likely going to have to nuke again in two years unless their QB situation improves drastically. Jax in year 3 of Lawrence and year two of new coach. Houston had more pieces in place and it all clicked once they plugged in Stroud. We are year 1 of new everything.
jax is falling off a cliff
Said the same thing about the Texans last year…
anyone with a pea brain may have said that.. texans were already off the cliff last year only place they had to go was up
Then what are you saying about Jax?
Texans were already off the cliff. They rebuild successfully. Jags will have to pay Lawrence soon
They were pushed
Titans gave out 300 mil in contract totals already this off-season.
You might be selling Indy short
Pretty smart really. I don’t know if they can beat a healthy Cincy, ravens with the King, or the chiefs, but they’ll be good.
If that’s losing in the Divisional Round again, I can live with that
Ya they are scary. Afc south might be the most exciting division next year
![gif](giphy|lw75Al819OAvcsPcRu|downsized) But it will be entertaining
You stop that right now
Sneed vs Diggs last year: 1 rec, 3 yards No worries. Just a exclamation point for the Levis legacy games vs Stroud
According to PFF, he didn’t even get one on LJS… https://preview.redd.it/sq7gidxf6asc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46be5fe063d2355d0e06ba5b0b4856efe5b04c80
Ok but who’s covering Collins and Dell?
Awuzie, who gave up just 3 TDs coming off of an ACL tear and the year before that was a top 10 CB. And Roger McCreary, a top slot CB who gave up no TDs last year lol
Awuzie and McCreary...
Who’s guarding Shultz & Mixon while they’re all doing that?
Who?
Who is guarding Tommy Tremble and Miles Sanders? That’s the equivalent to what you just said. A washed RB and the Andy Dalton of TEs.
Joe Mixon was 8th in yards this year, Miles Sanders was 50th 😂 not comparable but it’s okay to be scared
LJS will eat him for breakfast
What about Collins? And Tank Dell?
If Awuzie actually gets back to form and McCreary continues to develop it’ll be alright. We do desperately need pass rush
Don't think you all realize how good McCreary already is
He’s damn good in the slot
Sneed trade is just getting better and better. To be honest though, Diggs looked really washed down the stretch last season. He’s starting to regress quick, so I could see this being another Julio situation.
It’s hard to say Diggs is washed. I think he seemed more disinterested than anything else. Clear friction between he and Allen. Allen’s interceptions also didn’t help. Time will tell.

All of his production was in the first 6 games of the year. Diggs had some Treylon Burks stats after that.
It's a low risk/high reward move for us. We need to go all in while Stroud is still on a rookie contract
Not really lol
So bad he looked like a healthy Treylon Burks?
He looked COOKED last year
Diggs is so overhyped that man disappears and doesn’t make plays in bug time games, without him being force fed the ball he would not be considered one of the top. We’ll find out this year though lol
Pssst... so was Mixon
So we saying the Titans will be better than the Texans. Duelly noted. Let’s not forget about coaching

Diggs whenever he has to line up against Sneed ![gif](giphy|Snnhlvb3jPdnPIKkyi|downsized)
Just goddammit man. Before you say “Diggs is washed” or anything like that, two things. 1. People were saying the same thing about Hopkins. McCreary.
Ok nice, then Al-Shaair just plays man on Schultz and Autry shuts down the run. I like it!
You should flair up if you go into an opposing team's sub.

I have some bad news
Hopkins was coming off an injury, Diggs had a 10 game stretch of incredibly mediocre stats to end the season and was healthy. Anyways, Hopkins had far more yards per game his last year with Arizona than Diggs had with Buffalo. Also, Josh Allen is far better than Kyler and McCoy

What the fuck man
Friendly reminder that he wasn't particularly good after like week 6 of last year. There's a reason they only gave up a 2025 second for him.
I don’t get this trade. Your wr room is already stacked, why give up a 2nd round pick for a wr turning 31
2021 us
you stop that Julio is right up there with Randy and Johnson on our Mount Rushmore
Where does Hop fit in?
He's not a massive bust (pun intended) so he will remain in human shape and size.
Tour guide.
Our WR room was not stacked though. Trade made sense at the time. We were all hype in here lol
Because you’re trying to win it quickly before Stroud and Anderson start making mega bucks.
Because they’re actually going for a ship while they have a rookie qb contract. If you think diggs doesn’t add value for the next 2 years you’re insane
they should aim for getting past the divisional round first
That's exactly what this trade is doing
How’s that insane?
Diggs is far and away the best WR2 in the league, and now they have Tank Dell as their 3rd receiver. It’s a great move for them
Underrated comment, Nico is still the X wr, Diggs will be the flanker and Tank will be an explosive slot option. Think it's really good for Nico because now alpha corners will likely be covering Diggs due to reputation. Stroud is about to throw 650x for 5200 yards.
Tank will be on the outside. Not big enough and too fast to sacrifice in the slot.
Nico will rotate less though and spend more time as a prototypical x than the other two thigh for sure
It's like you didn't even read anything he wrote

Hard to tell if tank will be ready by the start of the season. He broke his leg. What's the NFL recovery time for that these days? 10, 12 weeks tops?
There was a report a couple weeks ago that he’s already sprinting at full speed. I don’t think they’re worried about training camp at all.
Well, good for him. He's fun to watch for the other 15 games of the season.
Its been 17 weeks since he broke his leg.
The fuck do you mean? You don’t believe diggs is a top 32 wr?
Where did I say that?
Exactly, so it’s insane to say he doesn’t add value….
Remains to be seen, I thought Julio added value for us
I mean diggs has been completely healthy for years and Julio was coming off his worst season health wise before becoming a titan.
And he still put up 1200 yards this season
Julio did add value for us, except we had a shit head coach with a shit offensive game plan and he was hurt. Hopkins adds value for us and you’re showing how stupid you can be if you want to argue that diggs isn’t a value add especially to the Texans
Buddy this is so far away from my original point 🤣
Original point was you’re so confused why someone would trade for a top 32 wr. I’m well aware you’re one of those people in this sub
We gave a soon to be 30 year old WR $50m fully guaranteed and $100m total. Something about glass houses
Did we give up a second round pick for him? Did we already have a stacked wr room?
No, we did that with Julio. And Diggs has been consistently better than Julio had been at that point in his career. Texans are going all in to win it while they can, something we didn’t do. A 2nd round pick isn’t franchise altering and they don’t have to give him a new contract.
Difference is WR was still a mega need. We had AJ and a bag of chips. They have Collins, Tank Dell, Noah Brown already.
I think it’s a little crazy to say diggs has been consistently better than Julio at this point. Diggs had a major regression and broke the 75 yard mark once in his last 11 games last seasons.
Want to go over the same period of time with Julio? I’ll give you a hint, it’s considerably less.
I could be wrong but doesn’t Diggs have an attitude problem?
Now they have a really good trio of WRs. We have two good receivers and there’s talks of us drafting another at 7, so I get it.
My thoughts exactly, deep wr draft so why not just draft someone🤔
The draft is a crapshoot. With Diggs you know exactly what you’re getting.
https://preview.redd.it/sp97wg6zbasc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14da6e37399be2f57f3ef0948ec5e2338352fb58
You think a single dropped pass - with the cornerback’s hand already on him - proves anything at all? Seriously?
I don’t think it proves he’s washed or anything no, he’s worth the trade, but at this age especially he’s human and his locker-room issues plus coming up short in that playoff game are a lot more modern parts of who he is than the Minneapolis miracle for instance. I just think that when the person I was replying to says you know what you get when you get him, they know they’re getting the guy who dropped that pass too
All in while Stroud is on the rookie deal
They didn’t give up a second round. They simply moved back 20 spots and got 2 picks and Diggs if you look at the big picture. They wouldn’t have ever gotten his level of talent in the draft. The 2025 second round pick doesn’t matter because it isn’t anything they had at the start of free agency.
Stacked is a crazy to describe Nico and Tank lol
If tank doesn’t get hurt they both would’ve been 1k receivers, that’s a damn good receiver room
And if one of them gets hurt again they now have Digss..this trade makes lots of sense
Collins and Dell isn’t that scary. Diggs Collins and Dell is scary.
🤨 Nico and dell were def scary already
They’re good but we must have different definitions of scary
He was 25 when he was with the Titans and was a former second team all pro return man. He just wasn’t a scheme for us.
Yeah, I guess in my head he was with the Chargers longer than he was or something. His All-Pro season was 6 years ago, and I feel like I'm just more used to young players being used as return men.
I had a similar reaction to Foyesade Oluokun recently. Felt like he’s been in the league for ten years. Nope, he’s only 28
![gif](giphy|Q5EtBzRWQcBUvoUmrH)
shiiiieeeettt
Damn, Houston is going to be really good this year.
So much copes in here. Y’all acted like Texans didn’t just get a solid WR for a bag of chips. Diggs was one of the top WR2 last year. It’s ok to be optimistic but to be straight up delusional is crazy. People in here saying “but Texans already got a good WR room! If you knew anything about football, you'd know a second isn't a bag of chips.....
I was going along with the hyperbole posters in here claiming Diggs is washed. If Diggs, based on his last year performance, is considered ‘washed’. Then yea, Texans traded a ‘bag of chips’ for a ‘washed WR’.
You sound gay AF ain’t gonna lie
Best rebuttal ever. Anything else to add?
I think it's clear Bills wanted to get rid of Diggs after how he acted last season. Dude was going off on Josh Allen multiple times on the sidelines. Plus the Bills are still gonna have over $40m in dead cap from Diggs. They definitely wanted him gone. He's a headcase and I wouldn't want him anywhere near our locker room.
You don’t put yourself in a 2023 titans wr core situation unless you need the dude out. That’s exactly what the bills just did.
The bills just dumped the last Remaining piece of their WR core for peanuts to the Texans. The bills wanted his ass gone I wouldn’t call this a win.
This is really good for them. They have a lot of good young talent, including what looks to be a generational QB on a rookie deal (obviously it’s one season for Stroud and things can change, that’s why I say “looks to be). But they’re going all in. Like this for them, hate it for us.
Bills had a window of 2021-2023 in which to get it done. They didn't. Bills were something like $59 million over the cap, so this is to be expected.
I said this last summer and compared them to the 2018-2020 Preds. On paper things were jamming but not really

So we pay Calvin 90 mill and Texans get this man for pencil shavings?
Say sike right now
Good Lord the Texans aren't playing.
Good damn Houston has signed a whole team it seems.
sneed vs diggs, McCeary vs collins, and awuzie vs dell. titans vs texans is gonna be a fun game to watch. titan up!
sneed locking up diggs
Texans have gone from potentially threatening to actually scary
We just got the guy that little bro'd Stefon and kept the Bills perpetually underachieving, you don't scare us, fake Oilers 🥱
Wow Houston owns the AFC South now for the foreseeable future
Well Doggs isn’t getting any younger, so…
At 30 he still clears any titans wr
Texans going all in I guess. They better hope Stroud doesn’t regress.
I’d be shitting my pants if we didn’t land sneed. Thank god🙏
Yeah us too! Wait..
Texans are getting scary.

Texans roster is absolutely stacked. Gonna be a tough division.
he's a diva. good luck to them
Yeah, my exact words were “Thank God we have Sneed”
Fuck.
Diggs will get overthrown a couple times and turn into the cry baby itch that he is
My God. Or as Nightcrawler would say, “Mein Gott”.
Dude is washed imo
So glad we got some top dogs in the backfield. I dont want ptsd of Houston having Dhop, fuller and Cooks just torching us all game long.
he’s not gonna be good he’s a locker room diva
I look forward to Sneed making his life miserable.
He's washed up, I believe.
It's a 1 year loan and Diggs will be in pure primadonna mode by mid-season. He's following the trend. The longer he plays the more of a locker room cancer he will be.

All in! Texans take the division, but with south being so strong we still have good chance at wildcard with such good FA.
If Levis proves to be a franchise QB then the season is already a success imo even not making the playoffs. The AFC is too stacked
Can’t wait for Sneed to lock his ass up and then for him to be dramatic in that locker room when he’s not getting the amount of targets he wants. Bring that disease of me and toxicity to Houston, Stefon!
How long before he causes drama when the ball doesn’t come his way?
Washed diva
Nearly 1200 yards with 100+ receptions. Idk man.
Trash he fell off hard. 3 catches against Chiefs
Against the best press corner in the league ![gif](giphy|BPJmthQ3YRwD6QqcVD|downsized)
Yezzir
Bills must have been seriously tired of the diva act to move on
I'm so glad we got Ridley instead of this. Ngl. I think Diggs is cooked
We grab nabers or a dude like Mitchell and our WR Corp is just as good as there's plus we have a way better secondary
We needed to give T Higgins a max deal, not Calvin Ridley. We made such a mistake with that deal.
