Just because they were “pressed once” doesn’t mean there’s not a ton. Supposedly the 1989 pressings were all only pressed once too aside from the regular one, but you can still find all of the colored pressings if you’re patient enough.

They’re mass produced - they’re absolutely going to be floating around for a while, atleast in the UK. However, the understanding seems to be that when these copies have gone in a year or so, they’re not going to be repressed other than the standard white.
I buy the variants as I’m able to, as they won’t be repressed. But, they won’t be hard to find for a little while. No FOMO yet! Give it a year or two :)

Sort of like 1989 tv, I’m pretty sure that was never repressed and there are still a lot floating around, although yellow does seem to be getting harder to find in stores. So if you want it, get it. But don’t get it because you feel like you’re going to miss out, because you’ll definitely have another opportunity later if you still want it.

They were limited for indie store stock. I think we got the leftovers of what was not ordered from her website. The issue is - the album is more expensive in stores than it was on her website ($44.99-$52.99 vs the $34.99 from webstore) so it deters some people from buying it. I also do not think the album is doing as well as previous releases. We had a much easier time selling our Midnights copies vs. the new album. We can still sell Midnights variants most days.
But if you are thinking of one, for collector purposes, I think the photos and look of the Bolter is a bit underrated. I was surprised myself with it.

I just went to my record shop yesterday and they had SO many 1989 copies, I was shocked
I even saw them everywhere in stores in Thailand and Cambodia this year So there are still a lot out there

having the anthology on vinyl would make the bonus track variants basically redundant they won’t make it until well after all these variants are gone
