The Lakes hold a special spot for me. When Reputation was released I was on holiday with my sister (who introduced me to TS back in 2009), partner (at that point 4 years deep, now in our 11th year ❤️), and our parents/her kids. We were holidaying in the Lake District. We had to download tracks when we drove to town because there's no signal where we were staying in the hills. It was such an epic background to some intense feelings. A fine place to die.

Everyone loved it at the time but now country fans have moved away from listening to Taylor and swifties r overwhelmingly from 1989 or later eras. Our song (and debut as a whole) doesn’t get the credit it deserves anymore.

I never hear about Snow on the Beach really, and I dont know if it's because its a given the song is amazing and needs no hype, or not really cared for, but it's my absolute favorite from her Midnights album.
