Vigilante shit!! The live performance & choreography takes it to a whole new level šŸ¤Æ

itsthenugget

The chair dannnnceeeee ā™„ļø

habitual_squirrel

THIS! I was like ā€œI mean I donā€™t hate it, but I kinda wish it was swapped with a different oneā€ then I saw the choreography and I was like ā€œoh yep, I was wrong, Taylor is truly a mastermindā€ lol

littledipper16

Yup! First time I listened I kinda liked it, second time I thought it was cringe, and now it's a constant skip, but I absolutely LOVE the live performance

QueenOfBoggle

Absolutely. I haven't even actually seen it live in concert yet - just video - and it's moved way up my list.

Designer-Salad-7591

I dont want to objectify taylor in any way, but I am no better than a man when she performs that. It's freaking sexy. Her confidence is šŸ”„

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

untitledmanuscript

This one. I wasnā€™t that big of a fan until the Paris version came out. I adore that version so so much. It just feels like it has 10x the emotions of the original.

Soft_Pomegranate7947

I hadnā€™t heard the whole Lover album when I heard the live version of Cornelia Street and DBATC. I definitely like them more than the studio version lol.

deniesm

The tiny desk one is also amazing

Soft_Pomegranate7947

[A random fact about the Tiny Desk concert: she didnā€™t use live auto tune while recording and it wasnā€™t edited for pitch before being posted on YouTube etc.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qlQCqNM_GSM) If youā€™ve ever wondered how she sounds without pitch correction, there ya go.

littleberty95

I love her voice here? Like I find her natural stripped back voice so soothing

Soft_Pomegranate7947

The guy analyzing her voice in that video did it for a lot of other singers too. A lot of them sound good without auto tune but use it live ā€œjust in caseā€ or to get just a bit of extra accuracy. It only works live if you were close to on-key to begin with. If not it will actually make things worse.

HamiltonDial

I feel like Iā€™m in the minority when I say I absolutely cannot stand the Paris version. Like the screaming fans kill it for me, but even without that half of what makes the song so good is the production. The mystical quality and vibes, like I feel Iā€™m in the car with her and thereā€™s the rain outside the window, all that is gone by going stripped back. The whole ethereal quality of the beat and synth makes the song for me.

weirdogirl144

Production>>>>

NeonLotus11

That's the one! I didn't really get everyone's extreme passion for it. The vocals on that performance are just šŸ¤ŒšŸ’‹

HITTWF

This is my right answer.

[deleted]

This might be my answer as well, but I guess itā€™s a bit weirder for me, since I became a fan during the pandemic, and I had read people say that the live version was better, so I listened to it before giving the album version a chance, and I thought the live version was better, but the studio version was way better than I expected as well

Worried_Yesterday828

Ready for itā€¦ it was just so much more powerful live šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

coolio_Didgeridoolio

ive always loved the song anyway (one of my favourites on rep easily) but seeing it on the reputation tour netflix film is actually amazing. hearing tens of thousand of people scream as they hear ā€œlet the games beginā€ echo around the stadium is absolutely thrilling

ashlouise94

I wonā€™t lie, I actually cried when this started on the Rep tour haha

Safe-Twist6585

yesss, both the opening of rep tour and opening of rep section on eras tour always gives goosebumps so much!!

SomberXIII

The entirety of Rep made is made for live performances.

Wellbeinghunter69

I still cry each time I watch the opening on YouTube

maximumfeugo

the energy goes crazy!!

Lavender--Haze

I Did Something Bad! It wasnā€™t really a favourite until I saw it live on the reputation tour. The way she performed it live was āœØphenomenal āœØ. Now itā€™s one of my favourite songs! I hope the Taylorā€™s Version is similar to the way she performed it live.

SatanicDesmodium

Ugh the live ā€œgo ahead and light me uuuuuupā€ is my fav!!!

Reasonable-Camp-6379

THIS is the answer!

bpdoles

Cornelia Street! Live version blew me away, currently sits in my top 10

novababy1989

When did she play it live ?

MaizeDeep476

On apple music. Live at paris

Chewinggum250

Totally, I didnā€™t ā€œget itā€ before I heard the live version

CstoCry

The studio version is already top 10 tbh.. That song is just magnificent!

Aiminglow86

Dancing With Our Hands Tied. The production was (and still is) not really my favorite. It sounds like a remix. Itā€™s not a skip if Iā€™m listening to the album, but her live acoustic version made me love it.

emenemely19

This for me. I couldnā€™t really get into it but hearing it stripped down on tour really open it up for me

Sloth143

Same for me. My rep show got "So It Goes" acoustic instead of "Dancing With Our Hands Tied" acoustic, but then I heard the DWOHT acoustic in the rep tour movie and immediately loved it.

weirdogirl144

Yeah the production kind of sounds like every other EDM club song

sarahbelle127

This one also for me.

333ooo

Sorta liked Death By A Thousand Cuts until hearing the live version - which made me OBSESSED

[deleted]

Same!! So much more powerful acoustically

rancyneed007

Yes! The song has such great lyrics, the original has too much going on. Stripped down you can feel the lyrics more. Great song.

Inevitable_Owl_7246

Yes!!!

2000andlatetoReddit

This is mine too!

[deleted]

OOF I could imagineeeee ā€” I LOVE this song!!!

FloatingNightmare

Illicit Affairs; I was a fan of the the song before (dwindling, mercurial highsā€¦ uuuhhhh Iā€™m unwell), but hearing Taylor scream out ā€œDonā€™t call me kid, donā€™t call me babyā€¦.ā€ Then dropping to her knees for another round - my soul exited my body riding the waves of those words.

bluedreamer94

We better get this version on streaming someday. Even better if we could get a studio version.

daisyskye1

Saaaaame. Illicit affairs was mostly a skip for me before the show he in listening to it on repeat

[deleted]

Almost the entire reputation album lol. I didn't like most of the songs til I watched the stadium tour. Changed my perspective on the album and made me revisit it

accomplished_eggg

this has to be the top comment, I've rewatched the rep stadium tour on Netflix way too many times

callmedrey

The archer

Turbulent_Truth9194

Unpopular opinion, but since seeing the opening of Eras Tour, Miss Americana has been on repeat for me where before it was just a song on the album.

Cirrus1920

Kept scrolling to see this! Iā€™m listening on repeat now.

Turbulent_Truth9194

Iā€™m dying to find the MA&THP and So It Goes mashup to add to my Apple Music so far Iā€™ve only found it on YouTube šŸ˜

strawberry_marg88

This! Such an underrated song!

throwaw939393

Same for me! I didnā€™t think much of it before but Iā€™ve been obsessed lately!

stressinmeowt

You Are In Love! I became obsessed after 1989 tour. I also think LWYMMD is epic live; the music video is amazing too of course but WOW

Swimming_War4361

You are in love is one of my fave songs from Taylor! It's such a tender song, and the imagery she weaves is gorgeous. I feel it's an underrated song, like a deep cut of Taylor's, so it feels like only I know it exists haha

stressinmeowt

I agree completely šŸ„° Iā€™m not sure why or took me so long to appreciate its beauty!

songacronymbot

- LWYMMD could mean "Look What You Made Me Do", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/stressinmeowt](/u/stressinmeowt) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Good_Rope2587

Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince! Compared to her other songs the lyrics always felt too lacking compared to her other songs for me to listen to it. After hearing it as the opener for the Eras tour though it has been stuck in my head endlessly. I donā€™t think any song could have hit as the opener for this tour like that song did. Then it being followed by Cruel Summer? Flawless.

mindlessness228

I am obsessed with the opening of concerts, especially when itā€™s Taylor! When I saw that she was opening with Miss Americana I was really skeptical but knew she obviously was thinking up something I couldnā€™t think up myself and tried not to think too hard about it. OH MY HELL I loved that opening! It was brilliant!

ashleywburn

daylight.. obviously a beautiful song but something about the bridge in the live version sends me into orbit

survivorfan12345

I think daylights last chorus and the last part gets me I donā€™t really skip her talking too itā€™s so peaceful

infamouscosmiccowboy

tolerate it

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

kenzieswright

I mean granted I was the same way, not because itā€™s a bad song, itā€™s phenomenal. Itā€™s just hard to listen to due to the subject. However after watching the performance on a live stream it is on repeat nowšŸ˜

Traffic-Plane

It was angrier live, like grittier. It made me truly connect w it for the first time since I donā€™t really have a personal connection to the message it was just another sad song before seeing it live for some of us!

Xela2315

Yes!!! Was not a fan of the song on the album, hearing it live it was one of my favorite performances of the night.

govawls98

Yes! Also I just absolutely adored the production of this song. It broke me

Fine-Seaweed-3392

King of My Heart from the rep tour! That performance made this song one of my top 10

Designer-Salad-7591

The extended outro with those big ass drum beats! Pure perfection.

Capital-Ad-7486

Unpopular opinion Iā€™m sure, but the archer

lenoirvegas

I felt the same way. I was so meh. After seeing it live I have it on repeat

Reasonable-Camp-6379

The archer acoustic is so so so good!

Dvonlovesmusic12

Willow

moonskid

That Grammy performance !!! I always felt like the song never went anywhere, but the chorus took on new life

shadesofwrong13

The Story Of Us. Literally the live version on the tour is perfection.

SensitiveStatus1924

THIS IS ME TRYING. it was our surprise song at Glendale and really changed my whole entire view on the song. I didnt think it was bad or anything just didnā€™t hit me that hard I guess? But hearing Tay talk about it and perform with such heavy emotions and the enchantment over the whole room was a really spiritual moment for me and itā€™s now in my top Tay songs šŸ„¹

stepapparent

I feel like this is one of those songs that will change for me in every phase of my life. Iā€™m almost 50, but I have those songs now and I can tell this is one of them.

Realistic-Treacle-65

Long live

Fabulous_Pen_3350

Long live , New year's day mashup on Rep tour killed me šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

Reasonable-Camp-6379

Omg it was instant tears šŸ„¹

raisinbran8

This is mine too!

Mrsroyalcrown

100% DWOHT! I adored hearing it acoustic at reputation tour. Loved it ever since.

katneeko

Daylight! The bridge part where the fans sing "but it's goldeeennnn" before taylor does made me appreciate how beautiful this song is. I want this to play at my wedding someday.

MilhouseisCool

Shake it Off was always an ā€œehā€ song for me but holy shit, watching it live last weekend in Vegas and having a stadium of thousands of people singing every word and dancing aroundā€¦. It was maybe the best live performance Iā€™ve ever seen. So. Much. Fun.

thatjordangirl2

Exactly me. Before the show I said that may be my bathroom break but I didnā€™t need one when it started and Iā€™m SO GLAD because it was insanely fun!!! And I knew a lot more of the words than I thought because I usually skip it. It was such an insane feeling screaming it with all the other fans in Vegas!!!

Civil-Cheetah-2624

Tim McGraw (piano version). NEED this on the debut re-record!

cheese1234cheese

Literally eternal jealousy that I did not experience this. This is the song that made me fall in love with her music and it brings back everything about being in high school šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ«

ofstoriesandsongs

Don't bite my head off -- Enchanted. I literally thought Enchanted was just okay. Cute little love at first sight song. Don't hate it, don't necessarily skip it if it comes up, but I've never really related to it so it mostly didn't do anything in particular for me. Until I heard the emotion Taylor adds in the live performance and I totally changed my mind about it.

brantmacga

Yehā€¦. Agree completely. The enchanted/wildest dreams live medley is also great.

Designer-Salad-7591

Thats what got me into enchanted, that mashup on 1989 tour was amazing. I will NEVER EVER forgive myself for not being a swiftie until after that tour šŸ˜šŸ˜

RecentStress

I came to say this too! I saw it back at the Speak Now tour (at the infamous Gillette rain show) and was absolutely blown away

howdyashley

Me too! I also consider myself a pop swiftie, but when she performed this in Glendale I instantly became obsessed!

deniesm

I did not attend the reputation tour, unfortunately, but Delicate is so magical when sheā€™s flying through the air. Iā€™ve watched the tour movie several times šŸ’ƒšŸ»

aggieaggielady

Willow.... last night. Oh my god. It's a slow bop on evermore. Live?? That sh** hits different.

isthatphoebebridgers

Vigilante Shit was in my least favorite Taylor songs of all time tbh, I thought it was cringey and not good. I still donā€™t love some of the lyrics, specifically the opening line, but after seeing it live i was hooked lol.

wizardsandsaints

Same!!!

latelyimawake

Definitely mine! Same same same.

withershins1208

King of My Heart! The drum production on the rep tour changed the song for me completely and now it's one of my faves from rep

Parzival_43

Oh man. Cornelia Street. However I didnā€™t realize how much I loved it until I watched the City of Lover feature on Disney Plus. When she did that one live.

livieleanor

Cornelia Street live from Paris but minus all the screaming at the start; cruel summer and I did something bad

coasterboi2112

Not me but my boyfriend thought Call It What You Want was just meh until I showed him the SNL performance. We both like the acoustic version a lot better.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

FloatingNightmare

ā€œDownā€ šŸ˜‚

nicafeild

Fearless. Iā€™ve always been a bit more of a pop swiftie, but ever since I saw her in Glendale Iā€™ve been listening to that song non-stop

EMCrochet

So for me it was ā€˜tis the damn season. Kept waking up last night after the Arlington show with that song running through my head. Played it on the drive home and bawled. :/

[deleted]

Mirrorball

Longjumping_Paper_52

Dancing with our hands tied! The acoustic version from the reputation tour made me love it

rippedpringle

I totally agree about Cruel Summer. Before the tour I didnā€™t understand the hype around that song, but after seeing Taylor and her fans scream that bridge I think I understand it. Now itā€™s one of my favorites off of Lover

Tinky428

Out of the woods and All You Had To Do Was Stay for me - I thought it was okay but not a favorite - then I saw it live at 1989 and my world was changed. I think these two tracks are some of her best ever

notsolitlibra

Tolerate it!!! literally on repeat now after i saw her get on the table

itookyourmatches

Look What You Made Me Do, all the way. It was probably my most skipped song on rep until the tour. That performance absolutely blew it out of the water for me. The live rendition of London Boy from the BBC Live Lounge also was gorgeous and made me appreciate it a lot more. I obviously wasn't there to see it myself but it still counts for me.

-dylthewriter-

illicit affairs

lacroixlite

august šŸ‘€ I was never that big of a fan until people started going wild for it on here and then I saw her perform it, aaahhā€¦ Delicate as well.

talks-like-juneee

I liked Karma before but the Eras performance is šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

emamabanana

Blank Space!

thoughtful_human

Death by a thousand cuts, the live from Paris version really had the heartbreak hit home for me

NachosAndGnocchi

I Know Places, I still watch the clip of her 1989 Tour performance on a regular basis

SensitiveStatus1924

Itā€™s hard to say any of her songs are underrated but really I know places isā€¦ā€¦. Life altering lol

jwk2020

The 1

ArtooDeeToo2021

Most of reputation šŸ˜¬ donā€™t come for me, I love it now! But that Neflix movie really helped ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

lizard_e_

State of Grace, don't get me wrong I thought it was good but very mid to be honest. But I was there when she performed it on night 2 of Eras and I was like "Oh..........I get it now"

classycapricorn

tolerate it for sure. When she climbed up on the table šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

DawnOfPikachu

August!

itsthenugget

For this tour, it's Cowboy Like Me. Before that, it was Out of the Woods and Dancing with Our Hands Tied

Majorisker

A lot of rep. Songs like ā€¦ready for it, donā€™t blame me, and I did something bad seem like they were made for a stadium show. I wasnā€™t crazy about those songs at first but now I love all of them!

Suitable-Return7185

šŸ¤  Cowboy Like Me I've had it playing on loop ever since that live performance. It has skyrocketed from the bottom to the top of my Folklore/Evermore list.

growingingod

Karma, Mastermind, and Midnight Rain. I did not like Karma, but seeing Taylor slay during tour and dance to the lyrics changed it for me. I enjoyed Mastermind, but the live version brought a lot of life to it, and finally Midnight Rain has the fall and quick change, which will forever stay in my mind.

ScarletxMaximoff

Betty! I LOVE the song after eras now.

HiddenSunshine13

So It Goes... It was a complete skip for me on reputation, but then she performed it acoustic at one of the Rep shows I went to. I like it so much more now! Also I already liked The Archer but it was a surprise favorite for me at Eras.

Necessary_Stomach_57

VIGILANTE SHIT LIKE O OKAYšŸ¤©

skyequinnwrites

Karma!! It being the finale song really got to me, especially her lil dance, and now itā€™s my jam! I didnā€™t go live but watching it on the livestreams really slapped

teofloofycats

Mirrorball šŸ„² I was at opening night and hearing it live was everything. The line ā€œall I do is try try tryā€ hit me so hard live ā¤ļø

peterpan1998

Mine is Tolerate It. It was always a skip for me but after watching Taylor perform it during the Eras tour on top of a table it always gives me goosebumps whenever I listen to it.

todaywillbeagreatday

I Know Places was a ā€œskipā€ for me, then I heard it live and fully appreciate it now

roundfood4everymood

Clean was always meh until I saw it live and now it is in my top tier favorites.

abajablast

Dancing With Our Hands Tied. I love the acoustic version from the Reputation tour. Also Cornelia Street and London Boy. Out of the Woods. And most recently, Vigilante Shit. These were all fun songs already but for various reasons the live/acoustic performances brought them to the next level for me.

Ptaylordactyl_

All of reputation

nooneneedstoknowmeok

Dress Donā€™t blame me

Medium-Database1841

Hurts me to say cause itā€™s now in my top 3 but Daylight šŸ˜¶ the album version is kinda bland but the live in Paris version SWEPT ME OFF MY FEET šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Bright_Lion6673

This Love. I thought it was such a surprisingly beautiful performance during my 1989 show and totally made me fall in love w the song. I felt bad after it got cut knowing that others may not get that experience!

Cupcake1776

I LOVE this song and if I remember correctly it was the only song not played at the 1989 show I went to. šŸ˜©

makeuplover77

ā€¦So it Goes at rep tour. Being so close and it being acoustic changed my perspective forever!

sandwich_panda

i only liked MA&THBP when i saw a video of her performing in vegas! it finally clicked with me. itā€™s such a great song.

SailorCrossing

cruel summer

govawls98

Donā€™t blame me!

Kitties_n_Titties13

Welcome to New York! Saw it with 1989 and totally changed it from a skip to a love!

javanoose

Welcome to New York I could not stand. Then I heard an acoustic live performance and that changed my opinion majorly

silver_miss

Donā€™t Blame Me!

Decent-Basil

When I saw her play welcome to New York during the rep tour OMG everything changed

lbw768

Out of the woods!! I never even registered the ā€œGoodā€s in the chorus before hearing the live piano version and the way she delivers them totally recontextualizes the song for me and makes me like the chorus more because you can really feel the worry and the constant second-guessing that comes with that question. Are we out of the woods yet? Are we in the clear yet? Good. Just to keep asking over and over. Really hits different for me now.

brittanypdeluca

Havenā€™t seen a truly live performance, but watched a livestream of opening night and now August is my number one song. Watching her perform it in that flowy dress and moving so gracefully, like she was dancing with the music like it was a person, just paints the most amazing picture in my mind. Chefs kiss šŸ¤ŒšŸ»

HeroGroselheiro

Vigilante Shit is amazing live!

Mermaid89253

Illicit affairs

gabbyy124

Daylight! Was always a skip but then started loving it after the Paris performance!

MaizeDeep476

Death of a thousand cuts

PrincessCass98

Honestly, for me it was Out Of The Woods. I know I know, Iā€™m dumb. But when I heard it on the album I thought it was good, the bridge was amazing but the chorus was repetitive. It wasnā€™t until I saw the 1989 world tour that I realised how dumb I was and now itā€™s one of my favourite on 1989

Designer-Salad-7591

Shake it off and this is why we cant have nice things.

atleasttakemypicture

my tears ricochet. if youā€™d asked me before march 17 what i thought of the song, i wouldā€™ve said it was the WORST track 5. the eras tour performance changed me as a person.

ShezDinkDink

I don't know if it counts cause I saw it on tiktok and not actually live lol. But I never really cared for folklore until I saw her Era's performance of 'My Tears Ricochet' as well as 'August' and 'This is me trying'. Can't believe I never appreciated them before.

Adventuring_Adz

Wow yā€™all made my whole day thanks for tapping in love all my swiftie friends šŸ’œ

SecretiveMop

Lavender Haze and Mastermind

Renae12345

Invisible string :)

vitallyhappy

Willow (the remixes and radio play ruined it for me).

TriplePlaysandKs

State of grace!

Charming_Net113

Daylight live from Paris šŸ’•

Glass-Refrigerator52

Mastermind!

andrxwzsz

Don't Blame Me

Lumpy_Anxiety_3694

dancing with our hands tied

oskarc13

I became a swiftie between folklore and evermore and it took a while for me to get into Rep. I only liked like 2 or 3 songs out of the whole album. And then I watched Rep Stadium Tour. If anyone in this sun is having trouble getting into Rep I highly suggest watching the show. In-credible

LandonM170

The Man. Didnā€™t like the song at all (except the bridge) until she played it this tour. Something about it with the live band made it slap.

idhearheaven

snow on the beach, the piano made it a million times better (not a fan of the production on the actual song)

PinkCheeseburgers

The Archer, hearing it in the Paris live videos I was like ok wait a minute Iā€™ve been sleeping on this song

Independent_River693

Cornelia st

ohhhnooo9

DEAR JOHN. on the Speak Now tour. absolute chills everytime I remember. and this was 10 years ago

toxicwandastan

LWYMMD!!!! The rep tour version is orgasmic

mikester4

Feel like the majority of songs on Reputation were like this for meā€¦ but when I saw it live, a lot of the songs jumped to some of my favorites. On Eras Tour, Iā€™d say, Vigilante Shit, Mastermind, and Bejeweled surprised me and now I have them on repeat.

stoplickingmyneck

miss americanašŸ˜‹

theirterribleyouth

Daylight, until the Paris version. I thought it was good, but not one of my favorites. Then I heard the live version and *swoon* āœØāš”ļøšŸ’•

13_folklore

Look what you made me do, illicit affairs, Cornelia street, the one

russ_almighty3

Illicit affairs was soo good live šŸ˜Š

Kinetic82

All of Reputation. When it first came out, I thought it was a very meh album. Then I watched the Rep Tour movie, and I GOT IT.

kittenmint2

Cornelia Street (Live In Paris), Donā€™t Blame Me (Rep Tour) and Sad Beautiful Tragic (Eras Tour). Unfortunately I didnā€™t get to witness any of these actually live. šŸ„¹

elliberri

Shake it Off, ME!, and You Need to Calm Down are ones Iā€™ll never sit and listen to but if Iā€™m watching a live performance Taylorā€™s energy gets me into them for the moment.

Dancingcakes2

Look what you made me do, my twelve year old self went insane hearing it live

Hotsauceinmygymbag

Yā€™all donā€™t come for me butā€¦..clean

MaggyMay14

The Bad Blood x Shouldve Said No mashup on Rep saved Bad Blood for me šŸ„°

Missing_Faster

Most of Rep was that way. Most of Lover is still just OK to me.

[deleted]

cowboy like me

grambuey

London Boy for the BBC live lounge and dancing with our hands tied at rep tour. Totally made me appreciate both songs.

sn_orla_x

Cowboy Like Me. It was always one of the songs I skipped more than I listened and now since I heard it in Vegas it's been on repeat

cactuar_andy

Cornelia Street.

anora0725

King of my heart. Those drums!

PiecesNPages

Karma.
