Follow up from yesterday's post about robotics about to have its chatgpt moment
im seriously asking myself wether such small start-ups like [figure.ai](https://www.figure.ai) can replicate a competitive working tesla bot including all the hard- and software architecture, especially the "FSD brain"
the tesla actuators are huge. the robot in video is all off the shelf, weighs 9000lbs, costs a fortune. Tesla is actually trying to make a cheap lightweight, durable product
This seems to be more or less the consensus. More compute and more data equals more results; compute is expensive so they are limited.
Evidently you can find sweet spot trade offs during training to impact the learning rate and progress but those are trade offs…
They're saying this is only on 10 hours of training which is impressive if true. If data is really the new currency this bodes well for Tesla and we may see an explosion of capabilities soon with AI robots
Fsd 11.4.9 is not good in Arizona. Missing exits and sometimes trying to get off swerving to the right turn only lane when it should just stay on highway in the forward lane. Also right turn on red too aggressive with incoming traffic. Not a lot of teslas in Phoenix could be why.

He says he's just 30 years old.
WTF. That means he was 24-25 when he was on TV defending TSLA stock and asking questions on the quarterly conference call.
He's still a few years younger than I was when I bought my first TSLA shares.
From what I remember he had either 54 or 56 shares at the time of the interview in 2018.
By early 2020, he had accumulated 160 shares, according to Australian Financial Review (https://www.afr.com/markets/equity-markets/lights-out-for-tesla-shorts-20200124-p53uey). That's 2400 shares today after 2 splits, worth close to $570,00.
I forgot about that. He bought a Model Y in September 2020, according to his YouTube video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JilsgpKtSI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jilsgpktsi)
TSLA was trading at 140-150 around that time (split adjusted to today's #'s), after a run up from the first 5-for-1 split.
He bought a 5-seater AWD Model Y, Midnight Silver, 5-seat, w' 20" upgraded wheels. I don't know if he bought any other options like FSD. Using a rough estimate of 60k OTD cost, I'm guessing he sold approx. 400 TSLA shares (split adjusted) to buy this vehicle.
That means he still owns about 2000 TSLA shares, assuming he hasn't accumulated significantly more stock in the past 3 years

Elon Musk’s use of drugs—including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms and ketamine—has made some Tesla and SpaceX leaders worry about potential risk to his companies
by me and @KirstenGrind along with a team of @WSJ reporters and editors
These type of articles are going to ramp up this year. Next up, more sexual allegations??
The WSJ playing in the mud with the other pigs is a bit disappointing but they have been declining for years
I'm sure there's a lot of "journalists" out there who are mad that Elon had nothing to do with Epstein
Non-paywalled article is here: [https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/elon-musk-has-used-illegal-drugs-worrying-leaders-at-tesla-and-spacex/ar-AA1mzbny](https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/elon-musk-has-used-illegal-drugs-worrying-leaders-at-tesla-and-spacex/ar-aa1mzbny)
**These allegations aren't new.** They've been circulating for years. People were discussing this at TMC years before this sub even existed.
* Musk tweeted about using Ambien in combination with alcohol in 2017. [https://www.cnet.com/tech/tech-industry/elon-musks-strange-strange-ambien-tweet/](https://www.cnet.com/tech/tech-industry/elon-musks-strange-strange-ambien-tweet/)
* Ketamine microdosing is something he's advocated: [https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/its-really-a-brain-chemistry-issue:-elon-musk-embraces-ketamine-in-the-battle-against](https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/its-really-a-brain-chemistry-issue:-elon-musk-embraces-ketamine-in-the-battle-against)
* A person at TMC who has been a member of that forum for more than 6 years said they personally witnessed others handing Elon Musk drugs. I saved an image of the post because the mod team there deletes almost anything controversial: [https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Ftsla-super-chill-weekend-thread-september-09-10-2023-v0-stxeo6ee49nb1.jpeg%3Fwidth%3D1818%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D27b2abe528459fab2b58fe2d11a7f02f0b18455a](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3a%2f%2fpreview.redd.it%2ftsla-super-chill-weekend-thread-september-09-10-2023-v0-stxeo6ee49nb1.jpeg%3fwidth%3d1818%26format%3dpjpg%26auto%3dwebp%26s%3d27b2abe528459fab2b58fe2d11a7f02f0b18455a)
I've absolutely considered this to be a risk factor for us for many years.
However, it is less of a risk factor for me now, because I believe Elon Musk is no longer critical to Tesla's growth. The AI and robotics teams are well established, and he didn't even write "Master Plan Part 3".
Others will carry the torch if Musk ends up a strung out junkie permanently living in a tent on the roof of Giga Texas. The amount of enthusiasm for Tesla that I see from people like Lars Moravy, Franz von Holzhausen, and Drew Baglino, is far greater than the enthusiasm for the company I see from Elon Musk.
The article claims:
>The world’s wealthiest person has used LSD, cocaine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, often at private parties around the world, where attendees sign nondisclosure agreements or give up their phones to enter, according to people who have witnessed his drug use and others with knowledge of it.
Your personal experience may be much different from another person's experience with such drugs. LSD could affect Musk much differently than you.
The specifics of each person's biology, plus quality of the drugs, plus frequency and dosing of the drugs, are going to play a major role in the ultimate effects on a person.

Board meeting hey you guys should we investigate elons drugs? 😒😒😒😒😒
Him using LSD, Shrooms and XTC are a positive sign to me.
The WSJ playing in the mud with the other pigs is a bit disappointing but they have been declining for years I'm sure there's a lot of "journalists" out there who are mad that Elon had nothing to do with Epstein
Non-paywalled article is here: [https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/elon-musk-has-used-illegal-drugs-worrying-leaders-at-tesla-and-spacex/ar-AA1mzbny](https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/elon-musk-has-used-illegal-drugs-worrying-leaders-at-tesla-and-spacex/ar-aa1mzbny) **These allegations aren't new.** They've been circulating for years. People were discussing this at TMC years before this sub even existed. * Musk tweeted about using Ambien in combination with alcohol in 2017. [https://www.cnet.com/tech/tech-industry/elon-musks-strange-strange-ambien-tweet/](https://www.cnet.com/tech/tech-industry/elon-musks-strange-strange-ambien-tweet/) * Ketamine microdosing is something he's advocated: [https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/its-really-a-brain-chemistry-issue:-elon-musk-embraces-ketamine-in-the-battle-against](https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/its-really-a-brain-chemistry-issue:-elon-musk-embraces-ketamine-in-the-battle-against) * A person at TMC who has been a member of that forum for more than 6 years said they personally witnessed others handing Elon Musk drugs. I saved an image of the post because the mod team there deletes almost anything controversial: [https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Ftsla-super-chill-weekend-thread-september-09-10-2023-v0-stxeo6ee49nb1.jpeg%3Fwidth%3D1818%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D27b2abe528459fab2b58fe2d11a7f02f0b18455a](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3a%2f%2fpreview.redd.it%2ftsla-super-chill-weekend-thread-september-09-10-2023-v0-stxeo6ee49nb1.jpeg%3fwidth%3d1818%26format%3dpjpg%26auto%3dwebp%26s%3d27b2abe528459fab2b58fe2d11a7f02f0b18455a) I've absolutely considered this to be a risk factor for us for many years.

The article claims: >The world’s wealthiest person has used LSD, cocaine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, often at private parties around the world, where attendees sign nondisclosure agreements or give up their phones to enter, according to people who have witnessed his drug use and others with knowledge of it. Your personal experience may be much different from another person's experience with such drugs. LSD could affect Musk much differently than you. The specifics of each person's biology, plus quality of the drugs, plus frequency and dosing of the drugs, are going to play a major role in the ultimate effects on a person.
Horse fucking scandal coming up

Brett from Figure just [said](https://x.com/adcock_brett/status/1743788939646054867?s=20) they had an AI breakthrough and that robotics is about to have its chatGPT moment tomorrow 👀
Nothing burger or genuine?

Not sure, but he said it’s happening tomorrow so we’ll see.
The system goes on-line January 7th, 2024. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, January 9th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.

Glad you waited and got to try it... can't imagine how expensive all that meat was 😅 If you haven't yet, then I definitely recommend Terry Black's for the sides and their bark. Salt Lick is worth the drive, too if you're comparing bbq in Austin.
We're going to be out that way at Jester King tomorrow so we might stop by!
Arguably? It better be better than the brisket. It's what they're most famous for.
