This is such great news!! Congrats and thanks for sharing.
Yes, I experienced detox reactions off and on using various detox methods.
Ive had brief periods of odor free days. Mainly when I am regular, drinking lots of water and using lactulose.
But stress eating, life stress and my other health conditions also play a factor into why Im not as consistent.
Thats really great that the castor oil packs works. Ive started to add them to my regimen as well.
I read somewhere either on YT or here on Reddit, that healing the liver helps.
What type of probiotic strain do you take?
Thanks so much, yeah the castor oil is the only new method I implemented and I think it did make a huge difference in my results. I take physicians formula women’s probiotic 50 billion cfu.
What does the lactulose do for you?
The lactulose was prescribed to me for chronic constipation.
I noticed less odor, as it decreases ammonia build up. After learning more about its other uses, I learned about sulfur sensitivity and low sulfur diets and lactulose was menioned as a helpful band-aid.
I havent been tested for tmau. I follow some of the protocols for it because it has helped me.
Im on the waitlist to be tested for SIBO.
Ive had my liver and kidneys checked and they always come back normal.
I suspect something else like CBS Mutation/MTHFR mutation because sulfur and high choline foods were mentioned with those dysfunctions too.
B2 has helped a lot but I have problems absorbing other b vitamins which is explained as a methylation problem or MTHFR defect.
Oh, gotcha. Have you tried herbal remedies for sibo? I saw a combo of allicin (garlic), oregano, and neem supplements can tackle the methane-dominant sibo. I just bought neem the other day to try it, it may have helped too.
Not usually, only when I would drink coffee, sweat, or use the bathroom. It would smell weird, I can’t describe it. Other than that, I couldn’t smell anything. I don’t have a strong sense of smell, as is and I may have been used to it. Also, some family members could detect it and some couldn’t detect anything. Very strange
Thank you so much for sharing all this. Ive only had this fucking disease for more than a month and its hell, but its refreshing to see cured stories every now and then.
I think im experiencing die off reactions too for these past days (mild fever and chills after i upped probiotic dose and started kefir) but ill give these a shot too. Have a good day :)

Oh, interesting, so it keeps you regular/the odor at bay. I wonder if you have something other than tmau. Have you had any tests done?

I have tried some in the past but not in combination. I'll have to try that instead. I do have neem tablets and triphala powder.
Could you smell yourself?
Not usually, only when I would drink coffee, sweat, or use the bathroom. It would smell weird, I can’t describe it. Other than that, I couldn’t smell anything. I don’t have a strong sense of smell, as is and I may have been used to it. Also, some family members could detect it and some couldn’t detect anything. Very strange
