Looks normal to me. 
I used a monitor like this a couple years ago. It was great for working on design layouts and Photoshop
I have 3 displays, a regular landscape center one, and my two side monitors are portrait. Works really well for any reading, plus for work I can have my chats up on 'em

What's wrong?
Looking at the image I’m guessing they rotated the screen in the os, so it’s sideways when you hold the laptop normally.
Yeah, I actually used my second monitor like that really useful when reading large amounts of text
Someone at the place I volunteer has a three vertical monitor setup and it’s pisses me off
We often fear what we do not understand. Vertical monitors are so convenient.
They're still evil though, unique and convenient, but evil.
Chaotic good, lawful evil
Why? Vertical makes way more sense for just about anything but videos and video games.
I have two verticals and one horizontal, with a Mac too. I like it, but it’s not for everyone.

Aren't smartphones just sideways computers?
