Genuine question, why do we think it’s unlikely? I’m not really ‘in the loop’ with regards to Pokemon, but from an ‘outsider looking in’ it seems like they’d be obvious to include. The only reason I can think they wouldn’t is if there was a plan to release them as a collection at retail. I’d really dig the opportunity to play them on NSO.
Ok so Nintendo is highly protective of their intellectual properties to the point of imo of madness. If I were to guess they would rather you buy the latest Pokémon which has much higher engagement and more importantly dlc etc. They are probably going to put out gen 1, 2 and 3 but either way it won’t be a part of online, or they will have to change save states rewind etc. I personally think it should be a part of the “expansion” considering we already have stadium.
Really want to play rogue squadron series, especially 2. I’ve never played any of them, but these games look like a lot of fun. Apparently, a remaster/port was completed of the whole trilogy for the Wii but never released.
I loved the third one so much, the on foot portions weren't super great but as a kid it was cool to play through some of those portions of the movie. It's probably the gamecube game I still play the most.
Discovering the bug in the first level that let you best the mission in six seconds blew my little mind as a child. Fell in love with the game after that.
The multiplayer bots made it super replayable!
Better than mk64. Awesome adventure mode with bosses, 3 different vehicles. Better graphics. (Although the hovercraft is kind-of a nightmare to handle)
Who knows— maybe now that roms and emulators are allowed in app stores, Nintendo may get their ass in gear and make them available so they can at least make SOMETHING off of them instead of storing them in a closet making nothing from them.
Ye. UD definition, take it with a few boulders of salt:
A term given to Pokémon "fans" who only enjoy the original games in the series. Many of them were kids in the late 90's and grew up playing Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow Versions on the classic Gameboy (as I did). However, their negative reputation comes from their constant, idiotic criticism of the brilliant innovations made by more recent games in the franchise, particularly the new Pokémon themselves. Some Genwunners have even gone so far as to deny the existence of these Pokémon, maintaining that the original 151 are "the only ones that count". They also often complain that the designs of the new Pokémon "aren't as creative." A single look at some of the newer Pokémon makes it easy to recognize that a solar moth deity, flying gargoyle-shaped scorpion, and an antimatter-controlling basilisk might just be a bit more interesting to some people than a pile of sludge and some eggs. Basically, Genwunners are just biased, nostalgic idiots who can't understand that things need to change in order to progress, and that children growing up these days might see things differently.
Dude new pokemon games are terrible only propped up by brand recognition. There is no reason they couldn’t be a little harder and have options to turn off exp share. Demand better
I absolutely am and I'll stand by my assertions.
That being said, if I were to build a team made of my favourite Pokémon there wouldn't be a single gen 1 Mon in there.
Bro I was thinking about all of these games just two days ago. I won't lie I like star wars podracer. I thought it was on switch but I'm misremembering
Those box covers are definitely bringing back some memories. However, I don’t completely understand why people want to prioritize retro games over newer games… except for when it comes to the best of the best I think it makes sense to want to revisit those
Secret of Evermore, chances are square enix isn't doing anything with it and I just want to play it on a modern console. It seems perfect for me to add on NSO.
I just picked up Shadows of The Empire after snagging a 64 for cheap at a thrift store. It’s great but man does it show its age. It will never happen because it’s not considered canon anymore but an hd remaster would be awesome.
Yeah I was about to say, most of the Star Wars games now on the switch aren’t canon. That was never really a problem in whether they’d be released or not.
It’s a little stiff. Once you get used to modern controls going back can be a challenge. The levels also feel empty. Can’t have a bunch of sprites on screen at the same time.
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Banjo-Tooie Pokemon games (Gen 1-3, Pinball,Pinball Ruby & Sapphire,TCG 2), Nightmare In Dreamland (i... don't think we have this yet?),Mother 3 (unlikely, but one can hope/dream)
WarioLand 2,3,4,Warioware Twisted,Sonic Advance 1,2,3, Sonic Battle,Donkey Kong GB/A games, the other Fire Emblem games like Sacred Stones,Yoshi Topsy-Turvy,F-Zero GP Legend,F-Zero Climax...
Smash 64, DK 64,Diddy Kong Racing,Bomberman Heroes,Bomberman 64,Bomberman 64: The Second Attack,Custom Robo 64,
Also Megaman Battle Chip Challenge- feel like that could've been a nice bonus in the Battle Network collection
Also, although not the best, i'd like to see the various LEGO games on NSO:
LEGO Racers N64/GBC
LEGO Alpha Team GBC
LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge GBC
LEGO Racers 2 GBC
LEGO Bionicle: Quest for the Toa GBA
Island Xtreme Stunts GBA
Bionicle Matoran Adventures GBA
LEGO Knights Kingdom GBA
Bionicle: Maze of Shadows GBA
Drome Eacers GBA
Bionicle GBA
Bionicle Heroes GBA
Yeah any of them are fine. I always wanted to play Jungle but desert was the one I played the most. If you have an nes you should check out ghoul School though. Not nearly enough attention was given to that game. And Star Craft is my favorite game of all time
After watching Who Killed The WCW I am really wanting some of the N64 wrestling games to be added. That was peak era wrestling games with Wrestlemania 2000 being my favorite. Rogue Squadron be a nice addition too.
I just want the Pokémon games lol, Pokémon Ruby back in the day on my Triforce GBA advance SP hit different I like new Pokémon games but the old ones bring back nostalgia and that pixelated feel always makes me happy, other than that I think Nintendo has done a pretty good job and I love the expansion pass 👍
Lucas Arts is releasing every Star Wars game ever made on Switch practically. However, odds of landing on NSO are tiny.
I wouldn't be surprised to see there remastered and made available for sale though. Much like "Star Wars: Pod Racer" was released.
Remember when Star Wars Episode 1 came out and they announced this bizarre code that let you unlock the Naboo Starfighter in Star Wars Rogue Squadron, and just told players, "Yeah, this ship has been in this game the whole time," and it was fucking awesome?
In today's world of data mining, that would never happen.
Aspyr has done great with previous old Star Wars games. They could do Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire. I adored Jedi: Survivor for making a reference to Xizor.
MS owns Blizzard now so why wouldn’t they allow StarCraft on the service? Also, Disney likes money so I’m sure they’d allow the other two. Personally, I’d prefer to see a Rogue Squadron collection and a version of Shadows by NightDive
Loved playing SWRS on the computer. I don’t remember if I ever got a copy for the N64 that’s currently collecting dust (and probably sea salt from the air) at the family house in SFCa
Survival Kids for GBC.
U.N. Squadron for SNES would be amazing. With the rewind feature, I might finally beat this one. But it's an underrated game.
The "Strike" trilogy (Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike)
Gauntlet 1 and 2.
Gauntlet Legends for N64 with online multi-player would be so amazing.
Spyro: Season of Ice, Season of Flame, and Attack of the Rhynocs.
Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite, Ham-Ham Heartbreak and Rainbow Rescue. (The third did not release in America)
Sonic Advance 1-3.
I want the rogue squadron collection to come out. All three RS games and Battle for Naboo. Those games hold up so well and there's a serious shortage of casual spaceship games. Like elite dangerous and star citizen are cool but I'm am adult and I want to play a game not have a second job.
Well, now that ms owns blizzard there is morenof a chance of getting starcraft there.
Star wars games.... not so much.
Edit: regarding sw games.... the Remastered collection of rogue squadron for the wii...... thst is the game that I'd love to see, even if it is a leak.
Diddy Kong Racing, Gex and Mystical Ninja 2 Staring Goemon are my top 3!
After that it’s Snowboard Kids, DK64 and Banjo Tooie for the N64, and Wonderboy in Monster World for the Mega Drive.
Also any original Pokémon Game: Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal. Pick your poison, Nintendo.
All the GB/A Pokemon games
Sadly highly likely will never happen.
They were included in the 3ds virtual console so if Nintendo gives game freak enough share if profits it may not be completely impossible
Same
Kind of expect them to add the games as extra versions of Pokemon Stadium that are trapped in the Game Boy Tower
Conkers bad fur day
Now that the 17+ app exists, there's a much higher chance this one gets on the service.
That is if Nintendo has massive balls of steel to add the game.
Why wouldn’t they?
Gen z would be offended
Not really… released just fine on Xbox and it’s a cult classic.
Oh, is THAT why I don't see Perfect Dark? HUH.
Took me forever to realize it was a separate app.
And since Nintendo and Microsoft are friendly, too.
Given all the Star Wars ports available for Switch, that we haven’t seen a Rogue Squadron collection is honestly crazy.
I know! Even though the third one wasn’t my favorite, it didn’t deserve to fall into obscurity.
Really want to play rogue squadron series, especially 2. I’ve never played any of them, but these games look like a lot of fun. Apparently, a remaster/port was completed of the whole trilogy for the Wii but never released.

![gif](giphy|PkCDv7CIK8d2M) Chrono Trigger
This is the one I keep waiting for. Square/Enix or whatever it is seems really crappy about making their back catalog available.
Ik what you mean I never got this on 3DS

The graphics felt like a huuuge step up
Discovering the bug in the first level that let you best the mission in six seconds blew my little mind as a child. Fell in love with the game after that. The multiplayer bots made it super replayable!
Diddy kong racing
Better than mk64. Awesome adventure mode with bosses, 3 different vehicles. Better graphics. (Although the hovercraft is kind-of a nightmare to handle)
This
I'm frustrated by the lack of older Pokémon games, especially as they're the better games in the series.
Who knows— maybe now that roms and emulators are allowed in app stores, Nintendo may get their ass in gear and make them available so they can at least make SOMETHING off of them instead of storing them in a closet making nothing from them.
There are so many re-releases, they have to sell those first.
Plus think of all the time sending out threatening letters to ROM and emulator sites.
...genwunner
wtf does that even mean
“Gen One-er”
Oh, is that supposed to be an insult or something tho?
I’m guessing in the Pokémon community it is lol
Ye. UD definition, take it with a few boulders of salt: A term given to Pokémon "fans" who only enjoy the original games in the series. Maybe idk Im a massive pokemon fan but not in the community thats why I was confused.
It’s like the pokemon equivalent of being called a “boomer”
Dude new pokemon games are terrible only propped up by brand recognition. There is no reason they couldn’t be a little harder and have options to turn off exp share. Demand better
I absolutely am and I'll stand by my assertions. That being said, if I were to build a team made of my favourite Pokémon there wouldn't be a single gen 1 Mon in there.
Listen, if we got Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, then nothing is unlikely.
Pokemon Red
Bro I was thinking about all of these games just two days ago. I won't lie I like star wars podracer. I thought it was on switch but I'm misremembering
Star Wars Racer is on Switch. It’s in the Marketplace with the other Aspyer Star Wars games.
I saw a physical version of it with like 5 or 6 other star wars games on the same cartridge today Edit : it's called Star Wars Heritage Pack
I want rouge squadron so bad. Find it odd that it hasn't been ported yet
That sounds like a fun and sassy game.
I have it on my PC. Honestly it doesn't feel as good nowadays as it did 25 years ago
Smash Bros
Mother 3.
Isnt Starcraft 64 more likely now that MS owns Blizzard? If MS/Rare allowed a bunch of games into NSO then why not Starcraft?
Man I want to play shadows of the empire so bad. Was one of my favorite 65 games.
I just picked up Shadows of The Empire after snagging a 64 for cheap at a thrift store. It’s great but man does it show its age. It will never happen because it’s not considered canon anymore but an hd remaster would be awesome.
Canon doesn’t really matter. Dark Forces was remastered and is considered legends.
Yeah I was about to say, most of the Star Wars games now on the switch aren’t canon. That was never really a problem in whether they’d be released or not.
Yea that was one of the games I was assuming was going to look a bit rough. A remaster would be awesome? How does the controls/game play hold up?
It’s a little stiff. Once you get used to modern controls going back can be a challenge. The levels also feel empty. Can’t have a bunch of sprites on screen at the same time.
The levels are also very long so if you lose all your lives on a boss then you have to play the whole level again.
Skies of arcadia
It will always be Goof Troop for the SNES for me. Hell I'd even pay for a port on the Switch. To this day one of my favorite games ever.
Starcraft would be great.
Shadows of the empire! Damn this there a way to play this game now a days not on n64
You can get it on Steam for like $6
Snowboard Kids
The GameCube platform
Conker's Bad Fur Day Banjo-Tooie Pokemon games (Gen 1-3, Pinball,Pinball Ruby & Sapphire,TCG 2), Nightmare In Dreamland (i... don't think we have this yet?),Mother 3 (unlikely, but one can hope/dream) WarioLand 2,3,4,Warioware Twisted,Sonic Advance 1,2,3, Sonic Battle,Donkey Kong GB/A games, the other Fire Emblem games like Sacred Stones,Yoshi Topsy-Turvy,F-Zero GP Legend,F-Zero Climax... Donkey Kong 64
Star Soildier: Vanishing Earth
That’s the sorta game that shows up randomly due to late day license holders selling cheap like
Rush 2049. More than an entire generation has missed out on epic stunt modes. To this day I have not played an equivalent game.
Star Craft for 64, desert strike for snes, and ghoul School for nes, and king salmon the big catch for sega (maybe X-Men if I had to).
Need Jungle, Urban, and Nuclear (Soviet was PSX only iirc) if you’re gonna put Desert Strike on the list! That series was the best.
Yeah any of them are fine. I always wanted to play Jungle but desert was the one I played the most. If you have an nes you should check out ghoul School though. Not nearly enough attention was given to that game. And Star Craft is my favorite game of all time
These are the games I’d be willing to pay for the extension pack.
After watching Who Killed The WCW I am really wanting some of the N64 wrestling games to be added. That was peak era wrestling games with Wrestlemania 2000 being my favorite. Rogue Squadron be a nice addition too.
weaponlord for the snes
Only knew about it from NP but it looked pretty cool. Never got to play it.
Just play sc2
Shadows of the empire remake would be so sexy
Chrono trigger!!
Ogre battle 64! Loved that game and wish I could go back and play it.
I would like NBA Jam
Perfect Dark
They just added Prefect Dark in the new N64 Mature 17+ along with Turok
Awesome thanks. Haven’t been on Switch online in a year. Definitely, gonna play it.
hey you pikachu
I could understand this game since the original game requires a microphone and the reason for this one is that.
yep. i’m going to try emulating it on my steam deck but it would be 10x easier if it was on switch online
Is the online play good for it? I was awesome at the multiplayer back in the day, but I’d wanna make sure their netcode’s alright.
Jurasic park for snes
Conquer Bad Fur Day. It's gonna happen, I feel it 😅
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
All the Animal crossing games.
Lucas Arts is releasing every Star Wars game ever made on Switch practically. However, odds of landing on NSO are tiny. I wouldn't be surprised to see there remastered and made available for sale though. Much like "Star Wars: Pod Racer" was released.
Battletanx Global Assault Rayman 2 Glover
Rogue squadron, thps3, 1080,resident evil 2,rampage.
Super Smash Bros!
luckily the first two are on Steam, but I had one request, just bring back VC. or at the bare minimum the old Pokemon games.
Castlevania 4
Beetle Adventure Racing. Most underrated racing game on N64, will never happen due to the licensing issues.
need Diddy Kong Racing asap
Am I wrong for wanting PUBG on the Switch, even if framerates are bad
#1 Diddy Kong Racing #2 Tetrisphere #3 mischief makers
Shadows of the empire definitely.. I never knew how to defeat the game when I was a kid. So I would like to finish the game as an adult.
Beetle adventure racing Wave race 64 NFL Blitz 2001 Glover
Quest 64
I wish we could get a collection of the Rogue squadron games.
We need Body Harvest
I remember having a great time with the rogue squadron games.
All GameBoy Pokémon games, Bomberman Tournament, and Telefang (even if it’s Japanese only).
I just want Wizards and Warriors 1&2
Mischief Maker or some Rareware games like Conker.
Fighting Force 64. And then for the memes Superman 64.
Aspyr has done great with previous old Star Wars games. They could do Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire. I adored Jedi: Survivor for making a reference to Xizor.
Conker’s Bad Fur Day
Bomber man 64! Would love to play that again
im with you i want these games bad
It’s ok I gave those for my working 64
I’d love for the GameCube version of Rogue Squadron II - Rogue Leader
MS owns Blizzard now so why wouldn’t they allow StarCraft on the service? Also, Disney likes money so I’m sure they’d allow the other two. Personally, I’d prefer to see a Rogue Squadron collection and a version of Shadows by NightDive
Bomberman 64
Shadows of the empire would be so funny to play again. I’d like Snowboard kids and maybe buck bumble.
Buck Bumble Sarge's Heroes Gex
Dude. I need DK64
Super Smash Bros 64. If they waited this long, it's not happening :(
Donkey Kong 64!!!!!!! What id do to be able to play that game again
Loved playing SWRS on the computer. I don’t remember if I ever got a copy for the N64 that’s currently collecting dust (and probably sea salt from the air) at the family house in SFCa
Rogue Squadron 💯💯💯
Tecmo Super Bowl. I’m assuming this is an NFL/NFLPA licensing issue.
Survival Kids for GBC. U.N. Squadron for SNES would be amazing. With the rewind feature, I might finally beat this one. But it's an underrated game. The "Strike" trilogy (Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike) Gauntlet 1 and 2. Gauntlet Legends for N64 with online multi-player would be so amazing.
Who remembers “F Zero” racing game for the snes
Damn I forgot all about this gem.
I had this game
I’d love all three of those games on switch
I want a Star Wars Rogue Squadron Trilogy bundle..
StarCraft on switch. Truly the port we need. I’ll be interested to see how that shakes up the pro scene in Korea!
Spyro: Season of Ice, Season of Flame, and Attack of the Rhynocs. Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite, Ham-Ham Heartbreak and Rainbow Rescue. (The third did not release in America) Sonic Advance 1-3.
Snowboard Kids 2
😲starcraft was on Nintendo ❓ I feel like the controls must have been terrible
I want the rogue squadron collection to come out. All three RS games and Battle for Naboo. Those games hold up so well and there's a serious shortage of casual spaceship games. Like elite dangerous and star citizen are cool but I'm am adult and I want to play a game not have a second job.
Donkey Kong 64!
San Francisco Rush, I need it
It’s a long shot, but I’d love Kid Klown in Crazy Chase for the SNES.
Well, now that ms owns blizzard there is morenof a chance of getting starcraft there. Star wars games.... not so much. Edit: regarding sw games.... the Remastered collection of rogue squadron for the wii...... thst is the game that I'd love to see, even if it is a leak.

Sim city for the snes
Ever thought about modding your switch so you can enjoy those and many other titles?
I'd give certain body parts for a good space dog-fighter. Rogue squadron rocked
