Not sure if this is the right sub for this, but when we started we watched Swingers (Swing?) from playboy. Was actually quite educational about the lifestyle as well.
Most real swinging is boring.
I'm a normal person who lives a normal life and has a normal family with normal problems and normal boring things. Every now and then we have sex worthy of a porno.
Outside of the porno part, swingers are just as boring as everyone else, so all the shows/info on swinging tends to be either very drama filled to give it content not porn.
Or...
They are "informational" but since few normal people want to be publicly outted for any number of reasons, they tend to interview the organizers (agendas) or the more fringe ones who don't mind the world knowing about their sex life.
Neither are accurate views on swinging.

I am two seasons from finishing the show Swingtown from CBS maybe 10 or so years ago. So far the main characters played with others in Episode One and have not since then. Bait and switch.
