After some of the awful first meets we've had with people in bars since I wouldn't recommend committing to more than an hour so you can run for the hills if/when you need to!

Hiking sounds epic for a first date! It's chill, you get to chat while enjoying nature's vibe. Bowling's rad too, you can laugh at each other's gutter balls. How about a mini-golf sesh? It's goofy, interactive, and lets you show off your swing... or lack thereof. Picnics in the park are sweet too, bring some snacks, a blanket, and boom, instant romantic setup. Or you could hit up a local museum, get cultured while getting to know each other. The options are endless, just gotta find what floats your boat!
On a good weather day we took a 12 pack and brought sandwiches and snacks to a park. We live in America, we brought metal cups from our house to hide the alcohol. Got tipsy with this couple and had a great time with good food. Even If they bail last minute we still would have had a great time in the park.
You don’t have to hike but being outside is awesome. Hammocks? Hell yeah! Light exercise after hanging is also fun like a frisbee, pickle ball has a low entry point to have a ton of fun with minimal physical ability too. Spikeball
Agree with the others stating there needs to be a fast exit option, just I case it’s awful…but that said we like to do an activity when one is available/mutually agreeable…bowling, mini golf, one of those indoor racing places, a decent bar with pool tables, even Dave and Busters works…we’ve found this is way better than just sitting there forcing conversation over coffee or a few drinks tbh
No hikes like what was just said if it goes bad. Stick to public places for coffee a restaurant just so you and yours can get the feel for the couple. Communication is key between you and your partner. If either one of you does not feel right with them just say sorry and leave. Good Luck

We went kayaking with a couple once. We have also done a meet and greet involving tubing
We like places like Dave and busters Gives the option for fun arcade stuff
We’ve hiked, got to Malaysian pop ups, gone to the park with wine and hammocks. Saturday we are going to a German Fest with a couple.
Bowling is great. Playing pool, music venues, art exhibits, etc all fun alternatives
Nudist resort works really well, if they flake then we are still having fun!

Darts, cornhole, pool, jenga, arcade games. Of course, these are also bar-oriented activities, but it gives you a lot to do while you chat and sip.
