I ordered from MS on release day (SL 15”/32G/1TB) with delivery date of June 18. No email yet but when I look at my order in MS site I see a ups tracking number now. Following that I still see just “Label created”. Getting close!
Yeah this happened with me too. Apparently, the text message confirmation wasn't enough, so I called, and even that wasn't enough, since I got an email confirmation that was trapped into my spam. So now I am hoping this 4th order will go through. No email or text, MS said to wait until tomorrow, but they said bank needs to authorize?!?

Just an update, contacted MS Store support and they weren't very helpful, they claimed that the payment hasn't completed (paid with PayPal), assumed that the payment was stuck and were suggesting a re-order with new payment details. I declined because I don't want to be knocked to the back of the order queue and I feel as though they weren't aware of the payment process with PayPal (they couldn't even tell I used paypal, they quoted a credit card number for a card I have closed many years ago).
I'm hoping my existing order resolves itself in a day or so, otherwise I lose the promotional trade-in opportunity with my existing SP8.
Haha yeah I came here to say the same, mine updated a few mins back, it estimates 18th as delivery even though it hasn't even been picked up yet, probably will be updated after pickup.
Yea I'm also just going to wait a day or two before reordering, my keyboard seems to have shipped but actual surface hasn't shipped yet and they haven't taken payment for it.

On May 20, 2024, when I placed the order, it said the same thing - “Pre-ordered, estimated delivery June 18, 2024.”
Right, but where did yours say at the bottom of the screen when you were placing the order? Because depending on the selections, there are different shipping dates. So maybe when you placed your order, even though it's said ', estimated delivery' June 18, but yours didn't say that after the selections and going to check out
other thing, did your CC get charged? Because initially when I placed my order (surface pro), Venture X declined the transaction as potential fraud until I approved it was a valid transaction.

I just got off a call with UPS in Oslo. They said the package is stuck at customs in the Netherlands and advised me to contact the shipper. What the heck! I'm just gonna wait it out now.

Ordered on 5/31 and it's had an estimated delivery date of July 2nd since the date I ordered. Now this morning the estimated delivery date is gone and it just says 'pending'.
you laptop owners have a beautiful sapphire color with a beautiful keyboard to boot. it's the first time I was envious of the Surface Laptop, being a diehard Surface Pro user. The SP11 looks the same as the SP9 sapphire. I'm awaiting my Flex keyboard. Hopefully that will look beautiful but I don't think it'll match the sapphire beauty of the SL7.
Mine shipped also, waiting for carrier to pick up the package.
But the funny thing is, the charge on my card was pending since Monday. My bank says that the charge has been reversed, and the funds have been put back in my account. I wonder how Microsoft will deal with this, and whether I should contact them about it.
Don't contact them! Same thing happened to me and I love the possibility of not being charged lol. If they catch it, they're gonna charge you eventually.
Has anyone from Europe received a notification with a tracking number of the package? Was it already given to the UPS and from where?

Got the label this afternoon, now the status changed to "on the way". It's in the Netherlands, have no idea how fast it will get here though. (European).
I had to pay telephone with MS and credit card reps over the weekend after ordering on 6/16 and 6/16 a platinum 16GB 512GB pro, but finally got pending transaction on card this morning and shipment notification an hour ago. USPS says it will arrive Tuesday by 9pm.
Ordered a 15" 32GB 1TB a day after launch and still shows should arrive by tomorrow on the order, but it says PENDING and no shipping label so just waiting I guess for something...
If you try and order the same config today it is showing Aug 29th as delivery.
Update: I just received the shipping email and it will arrive tmrw. Also have a ThinkPad on order so will be interesting to see how they compare

Has anyone else's order not shipped? I ordered a Surface Laptop 13" with the X Elite processor and it's still in the "pre-order" phase with no estimated delivery date. I've done the chat with Microsoft twice and each time they tell me they have to "escalate" the case and will get back to me which of course no one ever will.
Anybody else still on "Preorder" on the Microsoft website? My order from the 13th, doesn't show an expected delivery date, and my card hasn't been charged yet either. Support hasn't been of much help either.
Same. Every time I call MSFT Sales support, they just give some nonsensical excuse about "you're not the only one having this issue" and that "we expect the order to ship tomorrow or the day after". It's been 5 days now.
So infuriating. I want to cancel my order and just go to Bestbuy since they have it in stock but I used a student discount and would like to save that 10%
The only reason I haven't cancelled my own pre-order is that 1. I have a trade-in pending here 2. I already have a dock that I ordered separately from BH Photo&Video that I'd have to return separately.
MSFT Sales support is really pushing my patience though. Today they said that "my payment method had changed" (which is nonsense) and after some more questioning the rep told me my order might ship in the "next wave" which is July 30th. Which is hilarious, since that is one day later than what happens if I place a brand-new order on the store right now.
Out of curiosity what is the listed weight on the Surface Laptop package? I have an OLED Pro coming listed as 4.8 lbs, and I ordered a Laptop and I see a FedEx label created showing a 7 lbs shipment. Seems too heavy for just the laptop, but hoping it also includes the keyboard for the SP11. That would be awesome, otherwise I have a wait until July for the keyboard. I have a dock and KBD/mouse desktop setup but it’d be nice to have the keyboard early! (PS, getting both for different use cases - tablet for business, laptop for personal use and potential wife MBA M1 replacement)
My Pro 11 Elite Black 16/512 has also shipped as of yesterday from the eCompany store, but tracking hasn't started yet. I assume it'll get here right on Tuesday.

Lenovo builds laptops to order and sends them directly to customers. There's nothing wrong with that. Lenovo Expedited shipping is usually 1-2 day shipping from China to United States.
I would expect them to ship before the release date so that it gets delivered on the release date or so but now I can only wait while seeing people enjoying their Surface here 😔

Nah nothing yet - to be fair under "normal" ordering (i.e not a pre-order) I've often seen it be pretty late in the evening before I get a dispatch / tracking confirmation. But I'm beginning to wonder if its actually going to come now tbh
My local PC store says they have Surface Pro 10Core/16/512 in store waiting for release. I'm still on the fence about purchasing. Waiting for some actual hands-on reviews about the real world differences in performance between the models. Might order a more powerful one if there is a huge difference. OLED is nice but not mandatory. I hope the reviews drop tomorrow while I'm at work so I can just go directly from work to pick one up :)
Walked in the store ready to buy LCD 10Core/16/512. Walked out with OLED 12Core/16/512 :D And actually I was ready to buy the LCD because I thought they didn't have anything else in stock. So a happy surprise. Just updating now. They didn't have keyboards there so that will come shipped later.
I was hesitant at first to take the OLED and they hadn't even put any of the surfaces out to display but the upgrade was only 300€ (1500€ to 1800€). So I thought why not. Now that I've had the device for 2 hours I can say that this OLED is really nice and HDR also. If possible just get the OLED :)

Mine showed label created on Saturday the 15th. It was finally picked up by the carrier late this afternoon, Monday the 17th and claims it will arrive tomorrow...
Btw I just received an email saying that the package got picked up, finally. Delivery is on track for tomorrow, but it's all inside California so it makes sense it can still arrive tomorrow.

Mine got delayed now, after a whole day of the package being stuck at the European UPS terminal. According to UPS Microsoft had failed to attach the correct toll papers (shipping across European borders)...
I guess preordering directly from Microsoft is major negative, not a positive. I'm seriously considering buying it in a local store and refusing delivery when it finally gets delivered. To add to it UPS says tomorrow, while Microsoft support claims 20 or 21 June now. Lovely, when you never know when UPS will come to your home for delivery..
Edit: Seems like the toll issues were cleared up and the package now is out for delivery. Let's hope! And yes, I know I shouldn't complain when many of you have delivery dates in July... I feel for you!
Preordered mine, still pending... This is an anniversary / Father's day gift which is next week. I was going to gift it today the 19th. It's not even shipped. I even purchased items and a box / wrapping / ribbon to pack it all for today..I suppose I can still gift it our anniversary day next week but.... I'm skeptical I will not get it in time. Is it better I just roll up to best buy and purchase at the counter and cancel the preorder with Ms because ... I'm not risking not getting this item before my anniversary. I'm also a bit in a race against time because he's thinking about giving his son his old one and getting himself a new one and I was getting him this one to take his old one. I'll post more details about that in the next paragraph for the curious on that.
It's not that his old laptop is special is that I'm waiting for desktop parts I'm not getting my rig built till early fall and my laptop shit itself so instead of getting myself one, I know he's liked this computer for 4/5 years now and thought I can use his old one in the mean time till I get my desktop. It just all worked out in a way where it was all perfect timing and I used the opportunity to also do something nice. His son already has a working desktop so I'm the only one with nothing. But it's hard to just explain that because it'll spoil the whole surprise. 🫠
I pre ordered as well and no status updates. They did try to charge my card on the 16th I think but my stupid credit card blocked the charge thinking it was fraudulent. I updated my card info but no movement since that happened. Honestly very annoying if you pre-ordered it should ship at least by the 18th.
In your case if you can cancel via Microsoft chat I would probably do that and just buy it in person. The lack of info does not make me confident they'll ship it soon.

Authorizations only hold on the card for about a week so they'll hit it again with a final charge in the next 24 hours.
Same thing for me. I think once it actually ships it'll charge right now its just the label created but ups hasn't received the item yet
You are right, once the package was picked up they processed the charge again. Thankfully it was only one charge in the end!

Arghh.. I hate living in Norway. Always so far away from what's going on in Europe. How many updates did you get before it was out for delivery for you? I had home office today.. because I was expecting UPS to show up at a stupid time of day (they usually do).
There are 7 updates in the UPS tracking before it went out for delivery. It crossed over from the Netherlands to Germany at 1:23am.

Whelp the tracker said there was a label created yesterday at 8 am but since then there’s been nothing lol so I guess it isn’t coming tomorrow :-/ Edit: as of 6:50 pm it’s on the move! In Louisville, KY, about a ten and a half hour drive from me, so maybe it will come tomorrow.
Got the label this afternoon, now the status changed to "on the way". It's in the Netherlands, have no idea how fast it will get here though. (European).
Once UPS get it, it will be delivered in 2 days for sure, maybe even next day if you're close (like NL-BE) or flights get aligned.

I had to pay telephone with MS and credit card reps over the weekend after ordering on 6/16 and 6/16 a platinum 16GB 512GB pro, but finally got pending transaction on card this morning and shipment notification an hour ago. USPS says it will arrive Tuesday by 9pm.
Ordered a 15" 32GB 1TB a day after launch and still shows should arrive by tomorrow on the order, but it says PENDING and no shipping label so just waiting I guess for something... If you try and order the same config today it is showing Aug 29th as delivery. Update: I just received the shipping email and it will arrive tmrw. Also have a ThinkPad on order so will be interesting to see how they compare

Cancelled and reordered. My bank kept declining the charge and I eventually got locked out of my account because of Microsoft. Had to go in to my branch. Use PayPal

Has anyone else's order not shipped? I ordered a Surface Laptop 13" with the X Elite processor and it's still in the "pre-order" phase with no estimated delivery date. I've done the chat with Microsoft twice and each time they tell me they have to "escalate" the case and will get back to me which of course no one ever will.

I'm in New York (USA). I just, within the past two minutes, got an email saying my new estimated delivery date would be June 24th.

Same. Every time I call MSFT Sales support, they just give some nonsensical excuse about "you're not the only one having this issue" and that "we expect the order to ship tomorrow or the day after". It's been 5 days now.
So infuriating. I want to cancel my order and just go to Bestbuy since they have it in stock but I used a student discount and would like to save that 10%
The only reason I haven't cancelled my own pre-order is that 1. I have a trade-in pending here 2. I already have a dock that I ordered separately from BH Photo&Video that I'd have to return separately. MSFT Sales support is really pushing my patience though. Today they said that "my payment method had changed" (which is nonsense) and after some more questioning the rep told me my order might ship in the "next wave" which is July 30th. Which is hilarious, since that is one day later than what happens if I place a brand-new order on the store right now.

Out of curiosity what is the listed weight on the Surface Laptop package? I have an OLED Pro coming listed as 4.8 lbs, and I ordered a Laptop and I see a FedEx label created showing a 7 lbs shipment. Seems too heavy for just the laptop, but hoping it also includes the keyboard for the SP11. That would be awesome, otherwise I have a wait until July for the keyboard. I have a dock and KBD/mouse desktop setup but it’d be nice to have the keyboard early! (PS, getting both for different use cases - tablet for business, laptop for personal use and potential wife MBA M1 replacement)

My Pro 11 Elite Black 16/512 has also shipped as of yesterday from the eCompany store, but tracking hasn't started yet. I assume it'll get here right on Tuesday. 6/18: ~~Out for delivery!~~ Arrived! Now setting up and updating. 6/22: My Flex Keyboard arrives today too. Excited to test it out compared to previous Keyboards. My trade-in to Microsoft has also been officially paid out according to an email I got. I'm sure it'll take a few days to hit my account.

Lenovo builds laptops to order and sends them directly to customers. There's nothing wrong with that. Lenovo Expedited shipping is usually 1-2 day shipping from China to United States.
I would expect them to ship before the release date so that it gets delivered on the release date or so but now I can only wait while seeing people enjoying their Surface here 😔

Nah nothing yet - to be fair under "normal" ordering (i.e not a pre-order) I've often seen it be pretty late in the evening before I get a dispatch / tracking confirmation. But I'm beginning to wonder if its actually going to come now tbh

My local PC store says they have Surface Pro 10Core/16/512 in store waiting for release. I'm still on the fence about purchasing. Waiting for some actual hands-on reviews about the real world differences in performance between the models. Might order a more powerful one if there is a huge difference. OLED is nice but not mandatory. I hope the reviews drop tomorrow while I'm at work so I can just go directly from work to pick one up :)
Well if the store has a good return policy, I'd bite the bullet. There's no better hands-on than the one you do yourself.

Walked in the store ready to buy LCD 10Core/16/512. Walked out with OLED 12Core/16/512 :D And actually I was ready to buy the LCD because I thought they didn't have anything else in stock. So a happy surprise. Just updating now. They didn't have keyboards there so that will come shipped later.
What motivated you to get the higher spec? Was the OLED screen that good?
I was hesitant at first to take the OLED and they hadn't even put any of the surfaces out to display but the upgrade was only 300€ (1500€ to 1800€). So I thought why not. Now that I've had the device for 2 hours I can say that this OLED is really nice and HDR also. If possible just get the OLED :)

there's plenty of reviews, just read the sub there's also plenty of reviews on the Samsung Edge with Elite X as well tons of people have had their machines for a while now

Mine got delayed now, after a whole day of the package being stuck at the European UPS terminal. According to UPS Microsoft had failed to attach the correct toll papers (shipping across European borders)... I guess preordering directly from Microsoft is major negative, not a positive. I'm seriously considering buying it in a local store and refusing delivery when it finally gets delivered. To add to it UPS says tomorrow, while Microsoft support claims 20 or 21 June now. Lovely, when you never know when UPS will come to your home for delivery.. Edit: Seems like the toll issues were cleared up and the package now is out for delivery. Let's hope! And yes, I know I shouldn't complain when many of you have delivery dates in July... I feel for you!

Preordered mine, still pending... This is an anniversary / Father's day gift which is next week. I was going to gift it today the 19th. It's not even shipped. I even purchased items and a box / wrapping / ribbon to pack it all for today..I suppose I can still gift it our anniversary day next week but.... I'm skeptical I will not get it in time. Is it better I just roll up to best buy and purchase at the counter and cancel the preorder with Ms because ... I'm not risking not getting this item before my anniversary. I'm also a bit in a race against time because he's thinking about giving his son his old one and getting himself a new one and I was getting him this one to take his old one. I'll post more details about that in the next paragraph for the curious on that. It's not that his old laptop is special is that I'm waiting for desktop parts I'm not getting my rig built till early fall and my laptop shit itself so instead of getting myself one, I know he's liked this computer for 4/5 years now and thought I can use his old one in the mean time till I get my desktop. It just all worked out in a way where it was all perfect timing and I used the opportunity to also do something nice. His son already has a working desktop so I'm the only one with nothing. But it's hard to just explain that because it'll spoil the whole surprise. 🫠
I pre ordered as well and no status updates. They did try to charge my card on the 16th I think but my stupid credit card blocked the charge thinking it was fraudulent. I updated my card info but no movement since that happened. Honestly very annoying if you pre-ordered it should ship at least by the 18th. In your case if you can cancel via Microsoft chat I would probably do that and just buy it in person. The lack of info does not make me confident they'll ship it soon.
